Aired on SyFy in November and had completely passed me by till this weekend just gone, probably on the back of SyFy produced garbage turning me off anything they've done for a long while.
It's not the usual dumbed down sci fi light entertainment that I've avoided for years - it's heavily story driven, the characters are excellent for the most part and the science isn't so outlandish as to be unbelievable. Inter-planetary political intrigue, rebellion, terrorism and all done really well. Bummed that season 2 isn't till 2017 so I am going to have to get the books and get stuck into them.
This is the trailer from early last year and I don't think it comes close to suggesting how wonderful the show actually is.
Reading the first book now. Even though I generally know what is going on, there's still enough different to the show that I lost 2 hours last night when I went to bed to read.
I do once again recommend people watch this show. If you have Amazon Prime it's included in Prime Video. The latest season just finished (next season will be the final season).

And so the series is ended. Truly one of the great sci-fi television series that I don't think enough people gave a chance to, but I highly recommend everyone does.
I’m watching it for the first time and am half way through season 3. Loving it. Assuming the quality holds up, it’s easily one of the best sci-fi shows. The world building and politics are excellent and I adore the care they’ve taken with the physics and the tactical nuances of space combat.
I feel like the show has ebbs and flows. I was super into the first few series then it waned a bit, gets a bit better and now I've just finished the end of Season 6 (spoilers below, obvs).
I felt this series was a bit all over the place... too many things going on, with only 6 episodes. I imagine it was heavily affected by the pandemic, of course.
I also just read the series in ending there which is probably why it was all a bit "convenient".
Earth can't grow food -- "Hey I found this thing Earth could grow"
Belters banding together -- "Hey I'm a belter not with Marco and my 3-4 ships will undo all the hard work you did!"
Marco's new ships (?) -- Never came in to it properly, or I totally missed it.. did he even win a proper space battle?! Even when he won, he lost.
Marco has a nuke -- and?
We're all going to die on Nadina(?) station -- "I know lets wake up the ring entities that we found out how to do 2 episodes ago for no reason"
What if the ring entities stay awake?? -- ............they just don't?
Which is a shame.. because it just felt it was so rushed. Like what the fuck is going on with the dogs... and the station above... and the ring entities... it was like a side-story but maybe that's deliberate.. the war distracting humans from a real threat?
Not even a protomolecule teaser at the end... nothing!
Oh well, I enjoyed it.. apparently the next book is set 30 years in the future so if they bring it back "by the book" it'll likely be a whole new part of a story (I didn't check what the book was about)... Unless Amazon can take creative licence and make a side-story of what happens with it all in the next 5-10 years... who knows.. maybe in the book a lot of this is covered (well, the stuff they probably didn't change for TV anyway.

Bingo. I agree with your complaints about the last season. All these threads that seemingly went nowhere. Also things being extremely rushed. In the books things more or less do go the way they did in the show.
I think the creators were setting up the things that do happen in the next "trilogy" of books in the series. But if it ends up not happening at some point, it certainly is wasted time for this season.
