I don’t think he would in all honesty, it’s be like a rook moving sideways or backwards in a chess game and he’s actually getting a bit more of a push and TV time lately plus social media attention with UUDD. Fair enough it’s taken a while but with the growing attention he’s getting now plus the bucks, he’d be fucking daft to jump ship. AEW would probably waste him to say “look at me, they were shit to me” when right now they’re being really good and he’s even dropping DaParty references.

Rooks do move sideways and backwards (and forwards) so I don't get the analogy. Pretty sure he's getting a push because his contract expires around Wrestlemania. They always push people to try to get them to re-sign, and then stop it when they re-sign.

It wouldn’t be a push forward (yes I know rooks can but that’s my point).

The real point here is though he’s getting attention now on TV with a Shinsuke angle and on social media with UUDD right now plus the money. It’s be a helluva chance just to blow all that off on a whim on the chance that he may or may not be more successful.

Brodie Lee was in line to be a huge star in AEW after betting on himself and Claudio could do it too. He's been around forever and he's friends with a lot of the AEW guys already. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Brodie (God rest his soul) didn’t really do himself much favours and was outspoken. Good worker but also age on his side so it’s hard to say how much he would have progressed. While there’s a point whether that may have been the right move for Brodie given how AEW love their vets, it’s far more arguable now whether it’s the right move for Cesaro.

Cesaro’s been in the trenches yes but he’s hitting a really high point right now even if it’s taken a while. I think he should stay put. Also think of the DaParty UUDD merchandise too. He’s featured on TV and social media every week and making good money right now. A potentially but not guaranteed higher card placement on an upstart (in comparison) company on lesser wages may not be the best move for him.

Claudio is 40, Brodie died at 41. I can't stress enough that I don't think his high point on TV stays. If he re-signs he'll get moved back to the midcard. It's been reported Vince doesn't think he has "it" many times and Vince is still running things even if he's not there as much anymore. It really just depends how content he is with his position and the idea that he'll never be a world champion in WWE. Maybe he's like Shinsuke and will just take the money and accept complacency or maybe he's like Brodie and knows he's capable of more and wants to show it, only time will tell.

Sometimes it’s not all about being the world champion. Cesaro is getting a shit-ton of exposure especially at this point right now so I would venture to think he’s quite satisfied.

Closing a loop here, multiple reports have indicated that Cesaro re-upped with WWE.

One report also noted he was set to take Nakamura's role in the gauntlet match on Smackdown a few weeks back. Whoever was taking that role was set to turn face and it ultimately went to Nakamura.

So this report came from Meltzer. According to him, Bryan suggested that Cesaro needed to run the gauntlet and turn face in the process. Cesaro had yet to re-sign yet so they opted to go with Nakamura. That said, Meltzer is saying that this turn isn't really amounting to much in the grand scheme of things.

Shame really if that’s true, a Reigns/Nak feud this month before Mania could have been grand.

Wild new deck. It certainly followed the trend of how Cesaro adapts to change:

Love that deck and how Chugs didn't understand it at first (as usual) but once he did he cleaned up! Great punishment song as well!

Mia is very terrible at this.

Chugs on the other hand can’t remember which Uno cards he had in his hand a minute ago yet can take over the world. What a complex individual!

They could also do a Miz vs Breeze rematch title vs title after the humiliation Miz suffered last time. He will be completely insufferable.

He basically said this during this week's game lol. Good cleanser to go back with the traditional Uno. The first game was a marathon. It almost looked like the guy who got out of the gates with a 2-0-0-0 lead was going to blow it.

Happy 50th Uno Episode to DaParty!

    - The end of the second round with all the +5s and Chug’s reaction was great.
    - The bonehead play/honest mistake by someone at the end was epic.
    - The whole build-up at the end as to who was going to sing yet you could see it coming!

What an amazing game episode this was! Merchandise, bonehead plays/honest mistakes, saltiness, the winner grittily singing “You are my sunshine” on the way to victory and a hell of a choice and performance on the punishment song!

Look at UUDD/Da Party getting that bag from Snickers. Good for Adam Cole and the Bay-Bays.

That second game was one of the wildest and most entertaining games they've ever had. Breeze was wild during that one lol.

Breeze's impulses totally destroyed whatever hope there was for anyone but Swiss lol.

    #JusticeForChugs

But that song was a banger. That song is so good lol.

That game really did have everything. The hilarious highlight was obviously asking Creed "what color do you want" and he replied "seven." It was also wild that Creed gave the game away at the end, after he rushed to an early 2-0-0-0 lead. Hilarious punishment.

Creed would have had it in that third game if it weren't for Breeze/Swiss actually cahooting with Breeze answering the question! Common enemy lol.

And Breeze butchered that song but hilarious nonetheless!

I'm still waiting for all the alter-egos if "Ronald" has survived.

Probably because he was missing Fat Guy. Three epic games and then the last one 60 secs of Chugs bone-headedness.

Also I see they're changing the scoring to a point whoever wins overall on the day which is a good move as much easier to follow. Also the lemon sucking punishment is becoming a regular thing though I wonder they'll move onto other foodstuffs lol.

    UUDD Mania 2:
Heck of a hype song by Josiah Williams to start things off.
What a hilarious rant by Joe for the Ehrgeiz game.
Feels like it's been a while since I've heard Styles do an Austin impersonation. I'm so used to The Good Brothers doing it but Styles has a good one. Absolutely hilarious that Styles took powders whenever Miz got his Special hahahahaha.
Woods' jubilation for the title change was pretty hilarious.

    Uno:
What a turn of events. The fact that Chugs got to be able to recall what was going to happen to lead to him extending the eventual turn of events that led to his first win, by doing the exact same move he was looking to avoid, was remarkable. Then Swiss stealing the game away from Woods and giving it back to Chugs for his second win.

Also I love how most of the talk about too many jump-ins and that’s what’s won the game.

Breeze singing “A Pen and a Paper” will probably be in my head for a while!

Another great episode. Interesting to see they’ve got another sponsor other than Snickers this time.

I think the highlight was Chugs thinking he had a game won and then his face when Creed stole it away from him with that jump-in.

I think they need to change up the punishment though. Lemon sucking was funny the first time but can only so far. Miss the songs though I get them wanting to do something different. Maybe change up the punishments more regularly?

This week’s Uno episode with the Rayman deck is a million times better booked than Raw.

    15 minutes it’s 2-2-0-0

    After 55 minutes it’s 2-2-2-2

And the guys who raced to 2 at the start lost.

Plus Chugs trying to maintain his love for Fat Guy!

Plus Chugs and the hot beef jerky stuff somewhat changing the punishment. That shit seems hooot. Poor guy!

What a great move/setup by Chugs in the penultimate game to initiate sudden, sudden, sudden, sudden death.

As an avid Mario Party player, I'm glad that Da Mario Party is going to be a thing for a bit.

"Who is Waluigi?" was a great constant question throughout. The zoom in on Cole as he was poised to steal a star was hilarious, too. The stolen star reactions were fantastic.

This is going to be a fun miniseries.

I’m sure they did a Mario Party game before with Bayley and people, but yeah another regular series would be great.

Catching this and Uno back to back, makes Unoday even more special!

It was jarring to see the thumbnail to see that they were playing in person. There's some kinks they have to work out but I'm sure they'll figure it out.

It's been a good minute since they've done teams and man, that new deck looked clean as hell. The brass score underneath the gameplay was fantastic too. Swiss thinking that cahooting was not allowed for teams was hilarious. The coin flip was a cool thing but it is undercut by the team aspect. The wrong-button snafus were brutal to see play out, too lol. Great advanced Uno bluff at the end. Oversold it but provided enough doubt to throw them off and it lead to a great card to finish the game.

It is crazy to see how they gave up and said winner take all and they STILL couldn't end the game quick. That deck was out to punish them. Breeze just submitting and sitting on the ground lol.

Hey guys, I'm a night owl.

Extremely bittersweet episode, in light of Breeze being booted prior to the release of the episode.

They ran "PHAT DUB" into the ground but it was still hilarious, nonetheless.

The sequencing to the +12 on Swiss was wild. He realized after a second that he was in trouble and then doom hit him upside the head. Wasn't a total loss with the challenge but that was insane.

Chugs was right! He called his run.

Un-Over? They joked around with the idea that Da Party will be done but more or less, the fact they no sold the fact that Breeze was let go so I think he'll be hanging around for a while at least.

Very good joke for what his new name would be if he works again (Undisputed Adam Coleman).

Not a short and sweet game but not a marathon either.

It was amusing trolling plus Jessamyn Duke was released and she’s still part of the channel so things should be cool with Breeze for a while. Also don’t know the whole ins and outs of Breeze’s release other than being part of “spring cleaning” but at least the bridges haven’t been burnt.

Jessamyn is very content cutting her wrestling career off at this point, while it seems like Breeze isn't very sure if he wants to keep wrestling or not.

At least the fact they’re hinting/slyly joking about it is a good sign that things are friendly in Breeze’s case.

Plus you never know. Joe got re-hired back pretty quick. Yeah he’s a far bigger name but still.

Much like the mystery of who the third man was going to be for Bash at the Beach, there was a mystery with UUDD on who the fourth man was going to be for Da Party. Cole commented that the three guys were figuring out who would be the fourth for Uno and they all thought he would be a good choice since he's really into gaming. The first run-through they had was pretty much a trial run for him and they all felt the chemistry was totally right by then and Da Party was born. He talked about now that pretty much half of the commentary he sees on social media is about Da Party, which was surprising to him. The comments he receives about how hilarious it is and the fact it was there as a resource/save space for people during the pandemic is something that is extremely gratifying for him and the rest of Da Party.

Chugs, Mr 24/7, and Dripochet was the trio I thought would be the most entertaining and they absolutely delivered. Chugs having a piledriver counter for the No Mercy Triple Threats is hilarious.

Another "Lost Cahootings" in place tonight.

They've been fun but I'm hoping the regular Uno comes back soon. If not Breeze then either a replacement or down to just three

Good to see Da Party and Matt in the Chair back. This IRL version went much better than the last time when they were outside the Thunderdome. Swiss needs to get a mic on his soundboard. The debate between Creed and Chugs in regards to 'The Hunt' and then the stare downs were entertaining. Good times.

Creed was really salty during that game the way he passed the cards at times lol.

Also Mario Golf was good. Breeze’s err Matt’s dogs are cute.

Hearing them call him Matt on the floor/couch/whatever breaks my heart every time.

Winner this episode was just a damn mission this week. Hell of a babyface promo for the outro.

Curious if Breeze will stay on as "Matt in a chair" or if he's going to be totally gone from upupdowndown. I also wonder if uudd will have any influence on Cole staying with WWE.

I’m kinda wondering with Breeze stealing the LRLR title and locking him out the house with Chugs and Cole still inside means there’s going to be a LRLR channel?

Either way I don’t think he’ll be gone completely else it would’ve been more somber and they wouldn’t have made a storyline out of it.

There's a video out on YouTube of Chugs streaming on Twitch and finding out Breeze got released. Pretty gutting.

I think Badger is right about the LRLR being an option. Cole has been pretty vocal about how UUDD and Da Party has been a very beneficial thing for him and the other three so I wouldn't be surprised if it at least plays a small role in the decision making.

I don't think a LRLR channel would be a thing because WWE likes to control what people do. They're not going to let a split off channel happen with a bunch of WWE talent and one guy who they just released.

If they change their channel names slightly from UUDD, technically they may could get away with it. Even if it’s not that, I think there’s something in the works for LRLR with that segment of Creed being locked out and Breeze keeping the title with Chugs and Breeze mocking Creed.

Also just watching this interview clip of Breeze talking about being released. Got a good head on his shoulders and wise about investing his money:

FWIW, UUDD has BRE on there, featuring someone who got released.

Yeah, and I could see Breeze sticking around if like Jessamyn Duke he's not going to wrestle on TV anymore. Which at least for now sounds like his plan.

If Adam Cole were to go to AEW though I don't think he would be on UUDD though, for instance.

Agree on that with Cole. Back to the OP from you, I do think it has some kind of role but it remains to be seen how much it has. It does seem those four guys are extremely close. I'd like to think we'll have a decent idea where the wind blows for Cole after Takeover but they could always book something to leave it up in the air a bit longer. Push will come to shove after then, obviously.
