I know it's standard Japanese booking, but the endless six man tags all merge into one for me, unless there's a special reason for it. Seems like with the addition of NJPW World they could do matches like the Styles/Okada tag earlier in the tour and do the actual match here. As Tainted says, it's like they've been doing at most 2 relevant matches per card since WK, whereas the roster is deep enough to not run out of fresh matches if they actually put them on.

This card should be a Styles/Okada and Nakamura/Goto double header. Either Ibushi vs. Naito or the two teaming against two unit's to get them ready for a tag title shot next month. Do Tanahashi vs. Yano and get Tana's heat back already. Shibata and Honma to team and get a win too. It just seems entirely unfocused and placeholder-like, which is disappointing considering the talent they have at their disposal.

I feel the same about six mans, they tend to mean nothing. Why can't we have Okada v Tonga or Anderson or Gallows?

I'm thinking Omega beats Shelley and turns face; he could have some good matches with The Bucks and Tonga.

They still rely heavily on the gate as a revenue source, and the next PPV after this is in a 15,000 seat building. They don't need a stacked card to make money on these shows. They do for Dominion.
