You know, I included that photo because I thought it was the best photo to come out of that Super Bowl and it will be one that gets remembered for a long time. I don't think Brady was being a d-bag. He stayed still in his kneel down for a long pause as I think he was cherishing the moment, and understanding how long it took him to get back to that moment, and how difficult it is to get there. He did get up a moment after that photo and shook Sherman's hand and said "you're a great player". Sherman is a much better loser than he is winner. If the Seahawks had won, Sherman's post game interview would have been something like "don't ever compare me to a sorry cornerback like Darrelle Revis! I'm the best in the game!!! Me! Me! Me!!!!!"

Classic. I miss the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry so much. It's been dead for a while now. We need another playoff series between them.

If you're not a Pistons fan you probably dont remember this one, but this was basically a series saving block in their 04 championship season. One of the best defensive plays I have ever seen.

Don Bradman walks out to the bat at the oval with a test average above 100. He needs to score 4 runs in what would be his final innings to retire with an average above 100 for his career and finish on 7000 test runs. He gets a standing ovation from the English cricketers takes guard and is bowled for 0. I have always liked the story. The greatest cricketer of all time falling just short of perfection. He would end up with an average of 99.94.

The story behind this is that Australia and India were scheduled to play a five day cricket match beginning December 4 2014, but just a week prior on November 27 one of the Australian players, who was sure to make their return to the international team, had died as a result of an on-field incident in a game played in late November.

As such the first game between Australian and India was postponed until December 9 so that players could grieve and attend the aforementioned player's service. He was the 408th player to be selected to play for Australia when he made his debut in 2009, and as shown above, his 'cap number' is emblazoned over the outfield of Adelaide Oval.

Typically in cricket when a player reaches 100 runs in one innings they remove their helmet and salute to the crowd to acknowledge their applause. Steve Smith, the player shown, heads out to the '408' marking on the outfield upon reaching this milestone and salutes the heavens to perform what was an inspiring tribute to his fallen teammate.

In a match for St Kilda against Collingwood in Round 4 of the 1993 season, Winmar was racially abused by members of the Collingwood cheersquad, who yelled for him to "go and sniff some petrol" and "go walkabout where you came from".[13] At the conclusion of the game, which St Kilda won by 22 points, Winmar lifted up his jumper and, facing to the crowd, pointed to his skin. The following day, a photograph (pictured right) of Winmar's gesture, taken by Wayne Ludbey, was published in the Sunday Age under the headline "Winmar: I'm black and proud of it", with the Sunday Herald Sun publishing a similar photograph under the caption "I've got guts".[4] Winmar's gesture, described as a "powerful statement", an "anti-racist symbol",[38] and one of the "most poignant" images in Australian sport, has been credited as a catalyst for the movement against racism in Australian football

Leo Barry making the game saving mark in the 2005 Grand Final, giving the Swans their first premiership in 70 years.

Gary Moorcroft taking a casual grab.

Western Bulldogs are a classic working class club, based in the shit part of Melbourne and barely having two dollars to rub together for most of their existence. In 2016 they came from 7th place (top 8 qualify for finals) to win their first premiership since 1954 (and second ever), a feat no one to this day no one can adequately explain. Their captain Bob Murphy (right) was a bit of weird unit, but very very popular with all players and fans of the sport. He had played for the club for 16 years through some of their most heartbreaking finals losses and years as a shit tier team. He wrecked his knee early in the season which meant he missed out on playing in the finals. During the premiership ceremony at the grand final, the coach Luke Beveridge (on the left) received the Jock McHale Medal (given to the premiership winning coach). He then called Bob up on to the podium and gave him the medal, which prompted millions of drunk Australians to cry.
