Happy hearing Ali's back. I think since Kofi took his spot at EC and is sort of a show in for WM... this could be a chance for Ali to turn out of resentment. Yeah, he's still on the uprise... but it's just an idea. The thought of being jipped of that chance could cause some tension.

If that were the case, I would imagine we would have seen more glimpses of it by now. Yes, I know they've variously been injured, but Harper was on ice when Rowan went out. Then he got some work done because they had nothing for him.
They've had multiple opportunities to do something with Harper, but never gave him a sustained push. His IC title run was brief and then he just kind of floated around. After he got hot again during the Wyatt's feud with Orton, they failed to capitalize on it. They could have made him in that Battle Royal when it came down to him and Styles, but he became an after thought. WWE has never seemed to have faith in Rowan being anything more than an enforcer. Their run as the Bludgeon Bros. is probably the most success they've had to date. I don't think they'll ever match that on their own. It's a shame it ended so soon. They could have been a staple in the Tag Division for a while.
For what it's worth, I'd also be ok with Harper and Wyatt being released but that's just me.

Yesterday, Triple H had the pre-Takeover conference call and Ciampa was mentioned a lot during the early portion of the call. Triple H said that they knew surgery was ultimately going to be a necessity for Ciampa but they wanted to bring him (and Gargano) up to the main roster "to get some main roster experience" and that the injury went from something manageable to a risk they were no longer wanting to take.
According to Meltzer, Rousey has a "severely broken hand" so there's that.
Also according to him she was going to be taking time off one way or the other so I guess this won't impact us nearly as much as it did her poor hand. I wonder when she did it during the match?

AJ sustained a hip injury during his match with Randy at 'Mania. No word on how severe it is.
AJ spoke about it today. Said he should be good to go real soon. He hurt his hip doing the forearm to the outside then again on the suplex. He said it was all just muscle swelling and a pinched nerve.
Big E is getting his knee scoped, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, and should be out in the range of six weeks. No idea if he'll be off TV or not.

It does explain why she did all of about 2 moves at Mania and spent a good chunk of the match not in the match after getting thrown into the steps, etc.

I have to admit that Jeff Hardy going down with an injury, like with his last, probably the worst timing for having an injury. It's pretty clear the only aspect WWE truly wants out of Matt is the Hardy Boyz team. He is imo one of the best overall talents on the roster, he can work with anyone, but the WWE have never really been too high on Matt the singles wrestler.
When was he having those killer matches every week on Smackdown with the likes of Kennedy, MVP etc? 2007? He had a cracking little run there. In fact, I thought he was awesome back then, as a singles wrestler.

Yeah but he was barely being used outside of helping get over the newer talent like Mr. Kennedy, MVP, etc. I just don't think the WWE has really shown to care enough about him to do anything truly meaningful unless it's related to the whole Hardy Boyz saga. Think about it, he's only really had a couple of feuds that seemed to go anywhere.

V1 was great times. Had two of his t-shirts.
I mostly like it because Monster Magnet, one of the five greatest bands in the history of music, did his theme song. I also enjoyed the Matt facts.
Matt Hardy V1 was incredible. About 10-15 years ahead of his time with that gimmick.

I agree. Jeff was able to avoid injuries in the ring for almost 25 years and with this recent injury he'll have spent a good chunk of 18 months on the shelf. Matt himself has had his share of injuries but he is in great shape now so who knows. Again I just don't think the WWE see much in him as a solo act which is odd but whatever. Get him in some type of agent role and mentor these youngins.

I think the Hardys' time is up. I really do enjoy them, but since they've been back, they've been injured more than they've been wrestling.
It's crazy their longevity. Look at that roster in 2000. I know they were pretty much the youngest guys on the roster, but they were also the biggest bumpers who's mileage will have been shortened by all those gimmick matches and top rope moves. Yet here they are, still pretty fluid.
Likely my favourite tag team ever, The Hardyz.
I'd rank the Uso's a little higher then the Hardyz on my all-time favorites list, with both slightly below the Dudleys. But all of them have had so many great matches I have no problem putting all of them at the top.
The Hardyz managed to overcome being jobbers then spot monkeys, as it took them years to develop any sort of speaking skills. They are legends, and I'd like to see them get healthy and be able to walk and enjoy the rest of their lives. Woken / Broken Matt was ridiculously entertaining.
I wish the WWE would embrace more of that Broken world. I mean, during the Attitude Era, the peak years had a huge story arc consisting of the supernatural that spanned several years with Undertaker, Kane, Paul Bearer, Mankind, the Ministry, the Brood you could throw in there as well. So it wasn't like they were ashamed of the days of Papa Shango. The Wyatts have sort of introduced that element.
With the Broken/Woken stuff, I have to believe it comes down to Vince being negative about exploiting a non-WWE creation. It's one thing to exploit a wrestler like Sting or Goldberg for example, but look @ how they handled the New World Order. How about pretty much anyone from WCW, ECW? Very very very very very few wrestlers/gimmicks given respect.
It's why AJ Styles getting the push he's received since signing just shows that he's the best in the world. The face of TNA, the guy who helped the Bullet Club legitimize themselves in the wrestling bubble, and he's been a top main eventer about 4 months after he joined the company, if that. So why Vince wouldn't want to embrace the Broken universe completely and not some watered down WWE version is beyond me but I totally get it all things considered.

it's funny because the hardyz have been around so long and stayed over and are pretty big stars, but both feel like they've underdelivered. with his charisma jeff should have had a long, prominent main event run. with his wrestling and creative talent matt probably could have been an upper midcarder/occasional main eventer himself.
A Matt Hardy/Andrade feud seems like a pretty appetizing idea. Maybe they could bring back Lita for a special event. Matt and Lita vs. Andrade and Zelina Vega with Andrade and Zelina going over.

It's not like Brock really needs Heyman as his advocate. Paul doesn't seem integral to his career, and Brock standing out their grinning and yucking it up is the opposite of how a client of Heyman should behave.
The whole point of Heyman should be that whoever he manages can't be bothered to talk to the audience anymore. You do the whole Prince/Beyoncé thing where, say, Roman just whispers into Paul's ear occasionally, but never addresses the fans or the interviewers directly. He could even lean over to the microphone and tease that he might answer a big question, but then just end up whispering in Paul's ear again. Heyman is really wasted with Brock.
