She wasn't able to do anything at ROH because she's not cleared to wrestle. She's not cleared to wrestle because there was a cast on her wrist.

Ah, I didn't see anything about her arm getting injured again was all, I just figured it was from the last time it was injured.

When all you do is give old fashions in catering plus playing with action figures with your 45 year old bf can't be good on the wrist.

She just had a match with Matt Cardona VS Brian Meyers and Tenile Dashwood. She had the wrist brace on and it was a quick match.

WWE announced that Sasha Banks is out 6-8 weeks with a foot injury she suffered on Jan. 2. That means she’s out for the Rumble.

And Sasha tweeted that she was fine. A bit premature on that unless this is purely a cautionary measure.

Given Sasha’s injury record, you can’t really blame people for assuming the worst really. She is Mrs Glass.

Damn, that sucks. She seems to have the worst luck sometimes. Summerslam, and now Royal Rumble. If she's okay by Wrestlemania they should have her win so they can do her big WM moment then, just in case. You never know how many chances you'll get with someone. Just look at Bayley and her unfortunate injury.

I think it’s a combination of both injury with her risky wrestling style and mental health (no offense intended with that) but I think there’s a combination of both here which has held her back.

If she gets her head on straight and could tone her style down, she could very well be a more consistent top division player.

Also missing a few of the big guns at the moment like Alexa and Asuka. Shayna has been wasted. Xia Li also seems to have been pushed to the side since her Mortal Kombat debut. Aaliyah after being chewed out from Sonya has been off the radar. There’s good NXT players in there as well.

State of flux I think. Some knockbacks but also still some depth in the division. Also a chicken/egg thing over whether to announce surprises early or at the Rumble itself. I like surprises but can also understand why they announced Mickie to create some buzz.

You ain't kidding about her risky style. I still remember the match with Asuka on Raw where she went for a dive through the ropes, Asuka kicked her in the face, and Sasha faceplanted on the LED board. I thought it was a mistiming and was really knocked out.

I meant premature on Sasha's part tweeting out she was okay.

Personally I think this is a blessing for her. The way they mucked her character about swapping her from heel to face with no real defining logic kind of made her stale for me. I live Banks to pieces but she does rely on a strong story to help her really take off. Unfortunately she hasn't been done any favors in this regard other than her brief thing with shotzy that fizzled out as well.

While she may miss the rumble she can easily be inserted back into a great angle leading up to Mania. I don't know of I'm ready for her and Charlotte yet though. Still feels too soon to revisit that imo.

Corey Graves has been cleared by WWE medical (apparently since 2020). It appears he would be allowed to wrestle again, if he wishes and they creatively come up with a means for him to do so.

Would be fun to do an angle where his commentary gets him in hot water with a wrestler and it build to a match.

When Corey Graves retired that was right when I started watching NXT. I do remember reading up on him over the years in the indies, always liked his name (sterling james keenan)

I went back on Hulu and watched some old NXT with him in it. He was pretty good but I always remember people saying he was a total package type. He wasn't the best in the ring but he could make it work. He had the look, the mic skills. Some went as far to say he would've been the next CM Punk.

If he does come back, what would that look like? It's been a long time. I also didn't realize how young he is. Only 37.

Glad to hear he could be coming back to the ring. Hopefully he doesn't suffer through his previous run, those concussions are nothing to mess with.

Xavier Woods is out 4-6 weeks with a torn plantaris. The plantaris is a muscle located underneath the calf.

The concussion angle for Lashley is reportedly a cover as he’s got a legit shoulder injury that may require surgery and knock him out of Mania.

Lashley officially needs shoulder surgery and will be out 4 months. Sounds like he was already injured at the Rumble. Probably why the match played out like it did.

Bummer. Watching the show, I was hoping it was an angle to give him a reason to still be in the title match at Mania and make it a triple threat but alas, poor Bobby.

I imagine a returning babyface Bobby Lashley could get over huge if he has booking on his side and he keeps the attitude.
Just make Lesnar vs Lashley as tweener on tweener as possible and make them a team eventually. I mean, can they get along? Wouldn't it be cool if Lesnar joined the Hurt Business because he needs back-up from MVP, and plus, Shelton and Mama Benjamin will always take him in...

So stupid am I to get invested in this shit...

You know maybe if Bobby wasn't trying to do a fucking cartwheel while taking those suplexes he would be ok. I know exactly which one fucked him up to because he was taking them at an angle which nobody ever does.

I'm also glad they didn't think Bobby should be in the Roman/Brock match. That's like when they forced Daniel Bryan last year into the Edge/Roman match, totally killed the vibe.

Lashley as a babyface....IDK if that works like Bobby as a heel. I think in this day and age you just need to go with the flow and Lashley getting a few claps as a heel is better than turning him babyface-which he's shown over the years isn't his thing.

Lashley's just not a great promo. Him and MVP is the best work he's done. It works.

If they go face with him for more than 4 months, he'd need to partner with Xavier Woods to stay over.

They were trying so much dumb stuff with him before they realized he just needs to be presented as the legit badass that he is, no frills. They tried all this odd face stuff with the sisters and then the heel stuff with Rush being obnoxious and talking through his matches and then Bobby cutting promos in third person and whatnot and it all felt like throwing pasta at the wall. Then they put him with MVP who was like the Heyman to his Lesnar, just tells it like it is and sells the man as a monster and then they make him a monster (who wears boss-ass suits) and it finally clicked. And you can flip the face/heel switch on that really easy 'cuz when you're a badass who just fucks people up, you just change who's on the receiving end and the switch is flipped.

You know I want to believe that all it takes for Lashley is switch him to fighting heels and it'll work but IDK. I don't think people want to cheer Lashley, the Hurt Business, etc. I think we want to see him stay a heel and thrive instead of doing what has never clicked=Lashley as a babyface. Go back to his first run, go watch some of his TNA stuff. I'm not saying he can't pull off the current gimmick as a babyface I'm just saying what he's doing is perfect and benefits others if he stays a heel.

And? Every single wrestler who walks in and out of the ring, heel or babyface, are met by X amount of fans trying to get physical contact. I'm not saying 100% of the audience boo's him. I'm saying if you weigh the positives and negatives, heel Lashley wins.

I hope Lashley fully recovers after shoulder surgery / concussion protocol. Not only has his character finally gotten entertaining thanks to MVP and the Hurt Business, he has also improved significantly on the mic - generally by keeping his talking to a minimum at first, but when he does speak he is delivering well, and finally with confidence. But somewhere along the way, during his work with Drew, Kofi, and Sheamus, he finally started clicking in the ring. Put another way, for several years, he was a guy who had matches I would fast forward through. Some of it is probably the fact that he is simply finally booked a lot better now, but there's no doubt he deserves his spot on the card.

The last I heard was that her father passed but that was almost a month ago and I'm fairly certain she's been on TV (in the background) since then.

    Damn that sucks.

Tbh wasn’t the biggest fan of her NXT gimmick but grew more of a fan when she got moved up and turned heel on Sasha.

He still wrestles the same style he has for almost 20 years it's just now he's interesting. Back in the day he was a guy who was getting a big push based solely on his look. Black Lesnar. But despite being huge, he has a baby face and was just always smiling and loving life. Hard to sink your teeth into a monster that acts so vanilla.

Fast forward to TNA and once he linked up with MVP and was a heel, it worked. See, if people are just going to boo your boring ass anyway might as well turn heel. Just like when he came back. I think most of us who saw his work in TNA were hoping for that type of character. Instead it was back to 2005 Bobby Lashley with the rocket strapped to his back. Someone must've put in a good word for their TNA work and here we are.

Yeah, as far as his wrestling goes he really hasn't changed much. And he still doesn't have a shred of charisma, which is why he's always always always bored me. But with MVP at his side, he's become somewhat ok. Wish him the best, but when he returns it's kinda going to be same same with him. Bobby should have been an unstoppable monster the moment he returned. It's been so up and down with him and it's not even his fault. WWE's writing is insanely directionless.

I just wish Bobby would roll guys on the mat like Lesnar did with Cena in 2002. I've seen him do some pretty cool transitions in TNA but he never really kept at it as a grappler. He shouldn't even let a dude on his feet. Just rub a dude's face in the mat, hit him a hard a few times, and finish him. If the guy gets froggy, then bust out some MMA. If he's a genuine match, then do what you've been doing. But no, he seems so tame.

I can't help but think the Finlay feud was unnecessary and he shouldn't have had to go through the old troll out the gate. It seemed like, yeah, he'll learn through this, but with his look alone, he could have entered as a Goldberg type. I mean, they let Rodney Mack do that, didn't they?

WWE kind of eased into the TNA Lashley stuff. He came back like he never left, this John Cena type babyface. But then he linked up with Lio Rush and then once MVP came back it was money.

I can't really blame WWE on this one. They typically don't use angles/gimmicks from other promotions especially ones like TNA who could barely get anyone to watch their product when Lashley was the belt god or whatever lol. I don't think Bobby coming in solo and just wrecking people would've mattered because he did that in TNA and it didn't click until MVP became his mouthpiece--BY ACCIDENT. It's weird how in TNA it was MVP who got hurt and Lashley took his spot and then in WWE Lashley's gets hurt and MVP slides in to his spot for a little bit.

Eh, his look alone wasn't enough. Just like Goldberg, it wasn't JUST his body that got him over. It was the moves, the look, but more than anything the intensity. Bobby Lashley looks like someone took a little baby head and put it on the body of a god. And he's just not believable. He's not intimidating at all. Muscles are one thing, but if you look like a crazy muthafucka in the face, that's going to take you places. Mark Jindrak had a great body, so did Mason Ryan, nobody gave a fuck.

Lash does need a charisma transplant. He's always come off as someone pretending to be menacing and it's never convincing. If witchcraft was possible, I'd put Will Hobbs' attitude in Lashley's brain. Boom, you got Doomsday y'all.

It's weird how MVP came back, period. Was not expecting him to stick around at all, but hell yeah, he's money if ya ask me.

Yeah, but see, you're using your brain. That's not required to book WWE; they should have always trusted a formula and done things with some sort of foresight, but instead, they do weird things like having heel Triple H go over in the WM main-event, they turn Jericho heel just to keep The Rock looking strong, and they shoot guys like Randy Orton and Jack Swagger to the top. If they're willing to take weird risks like that, they should be willing to give Lashley the Rodney Mack Winning Streak. Force a dude down our throats once-in-a-while.

Granted though, I am a moron and looking at wikipedia, it seems he did have some sort of a winning streak and it seems like he was around for a while before he started feuding with Finlay and I don't remember it happening like that at all. Erasability. What the hell he was he doing before the Finlay feud? If he was on a winning streak, it must have been against an all-time low SmackDown roster. I guess they didn't want him getting over while Batista was doing his first run as champ? I guess Ken Kennedy was the future we were looking at?

Why am I still looking at Sports-Entertainment from my highschool years? I feel old and I have not learned a thing. I am a beast. An animal. Triple H took the best years of my life. One day, I'll cry about all the guys he signed to NXT and how he wasted years of their lives, too. Shawn Michaels got a rod in his back so he could no-sell backbreakers and such-type moves. Ric Flair didn't even get a phone-call from WWE guys when he announced that he and his wife were separating. The bald guy in FTR has heat with HBK.
Triple H needed a sledgehammer to knock out Goldberg. Big Poppa Pump would have been a mega-star if we didn't see his thong at the Royal Rumble; I blame Triple H for that.
Does anyone have time for this?

    I find this disturbing.
I think it's because I was just a young Warrior when I learned what voodoo was via Papa Shango. I blame Triple H for that, too. He jobbed to Warrior just to badmouth him on DVD when the time was right. That fickle motherfucker...

    Shotzi Blackheart is injured.

“Right now, my lower back (hurts). I actually got x-rays on it. It’s nothing crazy, but they said that my pelvic bone is tilted forward. They’ve been giving me rehab exercises and stuff. I’m way better than a month ago, for sure.

Ten. It was pretty bad. I had a match and then I woke up the next morning and it was really hard for me to get up. I slid off of the bed onto the floor and I couldn’t even put pressure onto my knees or crawl. I’ve been off for a little bit.”

Bit of a different move though there to be fair. I think on this occasion it just seemed to be bad timing on both parts. Ridge lost his grip and E didn’t tuck his head in. Just a very unfortunate accident.

Heart goes out to E on a speedy recovery.

That's a big problem in modern wrestling. There's so little character work and selling that a spot like that would have just been forgotten about by the end of the match, so why bother with the risk?

Rick Boogs underwent successful surgery to repair his quad tear earlier this week in Birmingham, Alabama. He is slated to leave Birmingham this weekend to return home and begin the process of healing and rehabbing the injury.

Orton's storyline injury isn't as severe as being portrayed, but it appears there's a chance he's out for the rest of the year due a back injury (per Fightful). That would definitely pose a problem for Summerslam/Reigns.

Jesus, everything's gone mad all over the place. What will they do now? Lashley/Reigns perhaps?

Was Summerslam advertised as being Roman Reigns v. Randy Orton or something? I know that Dave Meltzer or some idiot guessed on a few possible opponents for Reigns this summer trying to predict the upcoming ppvs since Mania. Riddle, Cody, Lashley, Orton, and Drew were all possibles--the sleuth skills of the dirtsheet writers everyone lol.

Rhea injury more serious than thought. Could be brain injury/concussion apparently.
