    I have Wrestlemania 1 - 15, 19, 20, 21, and 22 on DVD.

Not gonna find all the RAWs on DVD though, unless you recorded them I suppose.

I'm not fussed about TV, other than the odd compilation, pre about 2010.

    There will be.

I am in the weird position of having the reverse set up here. I have an American version running in the UK mainly because the network took ages to start up over here and once it did start I couldn't be bothered changing over (also it cost a tiny bit less for the US version).

I will probably just cancel it and start again.

VPN. But I don't care enough to worry about it. I'm a Peacock guy now.

I know there's rumblings that they are trying to do the same thing outside of the states as well by taking it to a larger streaming service.

Reasoning seems to be Peacock wants to be family friendly, but yet they have 50 Shades on there, the Leprechaun movies, etc. etc. Hardly family friendly films.

It probably would save them a lot of time if they inserted a warning or note prior to the start of the program, rather than trying to go through the programs individually and scrubbing.

Exercising Orwellian control is the whole point. They get off on censoring old content at their subjective discretion

I went through Peacock 2 nights ago....It fucking sucks. Most of the shows, movies, boring.....I'm literally ok with them having the Network but they have no real upside for me beyond WWE.

I'm happy to have another way to re-watch The Office.

A lot of the shows I can watch on Peacock are also on Hulu like Debris, Young Rock, Brooklyn 99, and Superstore.

Randomly decided to watch the first episode of Eastern Championship Wrestling on the Network last night. Yikes, what a start. Sometime in 1993, obviously. Terry Funk on commentary towards the end 'it'll get better'.

Going to continue with this though. Nothing to report on this episode, really. The tag champions, some masked chaps in pretty good shape, squashing 2 fat blokes who looked like they came straight from the 80s British wrestling scene. Some undefeated chap, who actually looked like a wrestler, won a match by countout versus some bloke in a skirt. There was another match that I can't remember.

They were closing the show and the chap that had lost, the chap in the skirt, came out and beat some chap in the ring. Commentators said it wasn't a scheduled match. Why there was a referee and opponent in the ring, who knows.

ECW Champion, the surfer Sandman, is on next week. Can't wait.

Oh it's great. Zach and Kelly aren't in it much but Slater and Jessie work at the school as a coach and counselor of some sort I think. The plot is that Zach is the governor and totally fucked up the budget so a poor school had to close down and the kids now go to Bayside. Those are the main characters and the fun is watching them react to how different and goofy Bayside is. Zach's son is just like him which makes him come off as an idiot. Theres a most popular girl/cheerleader character thats actually transgender and Jessie's son thinks he's good at football but he's not and he's hyper sensitive.

And the principal is this guy from Best in Show...

And he steals every scene he's in.

    The show is a hoot.

DX impersonating the Nation of Domination has been removed from the July 6th, 1998 RAW for both Peacock and the WWE Network.

    I saw that one coming.

It's like Hero used to tell me when I said I couldn't watch TNA because I didn't have cable:

    "There's always Youtube"

The DX parody of NOD was fucking hilarious.

And just like that the "war" ended. Not with a bang, but with another Austin/Jericho interview that will no doubt be cool.

Its probably a good thing for all involved really. AEW did say they'd be happy to work with WWE so guess they've took that on, just not in a way we expected.

Makes no sense for them to block out a HOF talent they've worked with for decades just cause he's on another show now.

It’ll no doubt be 80-90% his WCW-WWE career but interesting to see if Jericho maybe slips a reference or two under the radar. Also that depends on what Austin asks of course.

Austin said they "got into everything"...so I wouldn't be surprised if they openly discuss AEW.

watch the may 21st 2001 RAW last night, the show where jericho and benoit won the tag titles. really great show all around. pretty much all the matches were good. very easy show to watch. the main event totally holds up, not surprisingly. classic match. fast pace, lots of energy, great face in peril segment with benoit that hit all the right beats, super hot quick homestretch and an explosive ending. not a moment too long, not a move too many, no excess, really perfect execution.

i think i'm going to watch all the shows building up to king of the ring 2001. it's an interesting period, all the programs are pretty much proceeding as if the invasion angle isn't about to happen, and then after KOTR it totally takes over the entire direction of the company. makes you wonder what the direction of WWE would have been like if the invasion just didn't happen, if WCW just kept limping along. this second half of 2001 has an interesting feel, very liminal. then the invasion comes along and tanks the boom period of pro wrestling, just at the same time as 9/11 comes around and tanks american culture and society. interesting.

I'm really curious to see what, if anything, was edited out on the Broken Skull Sessions with Jericho in regards to the AEW stuff. Austin's show in this format is more of a retrospective look so AEW and New Japan were brought up at the beginning and the end. I feel like it was a pretty fair representation of AEW in this format so I wouldn't be surprised if anything was cut out, but the curious side of me wonders if something was just a little too hot to comment on lol. I've heard Jericho's stories multiple times but the sub stories about matches and setups for them were pretty good.

I laughed when Jericho said AEW wasn't competing with WWE. What's all those tweets about being a demo god about then Jericho? Why all the digs at WWE? Makes no sense.

Maybe it's in the sense that "WWE" is considered Raw and Smackdown and NXT has been considered it's own thing. I think they were obviously competing with NXT but never Raw or Smackdown.

You can see when Austin is loving a story or is really enjoying himself. It's adorable.

Over 2 hours and it flew by. Jericho certainly loves himself, but he can get away with it. Brilliant.

Watched Summerslam 2001. what a great show.

Lance Storm/Edge was a really strong opener. Well worked match, good structure, hot ending, crowd loved the title change. Then the Test/Dudleys vs. Spike/APA match was really awesome. Spike put on a bumping clinic, really really hot home stretch. X-Pac/Tajiri was a really good juniors style match, has to be one of the best post-123 Kid X-pac matches in WWF. Jericho/Rhyno was a step down, but the crowd was still into it and it was at least pretty good. RVD/Jeff Hardy was a really entertaining acrobatic spotfest ladder match. Taker/Kane vs. DDP/Kanyon was definitely the low point of the show. Not good, but even still the crowd was hot. Angle/Austin is maybe one of the top 10 WWE/F matches of all time. Just fantastic, really unique feeling match, incredible performances from both men. As far as bullshit DQ endings for big matches, you can't get too much better. Big time heat. Booker/Rock was a step down from Austin/Angle as a main event, but had a hot start and really hot ending, and the crowd pops big and goes home happy. Great show.

Also, there were a lot of really good comedy backstage segments.

They really knocked Summerslam out of the park 1998-2002. All great shows.

Actually really looking forward to getting to mid-late 2001 in my Attitude Era rewatch. Which at my current rate of viewing will come in about 2026 but I'll get there. Been a minute since I've seen Summerslam 2001 but I remember being a fan of matches like Edge/Storm and Booker/Rock, obviously along with Angle/Austin which is incredible.

i wonder what 2001 would have looked like if WCW kept limping along. WWE's still in a weird place with rock gone until august and triple h out. i imagine the kurt angle main event face turn still happens over the summer with him feuding with austin. there's not much more for austin to do at that point after all. ECW is still done, maybe without the invasion dominating the booking and with a dearth of challengers for austin, RVD comes in and gets a real push.

Not actually on the network but there's a bunch of WWE biographies that are going to be on A&E for the next 8 weeks starting tomorrow with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

I watched the Raw where Austin regained the championship from Kurt Angle last night. It does make me wonder so many different things about 2001.

I sometimes wonder what if ECW pulled it together and Bischoff was able to get WCW. Even if Bischoff would've been able to get WCW on Fox or another station. Honestly I've always had a hard time of wondering what the wrestling landscape would have looked like in 2001-present day if not only WCW but ECW were still around.

ECW needed to really stay at a Ring of Honor level. I'm glad things went the way they did because imagine if ECW were still around, where would John Cena have gone? Where would Lesnar have gone? OVW was not a thing until after ECW died, correct? Imagine John Cena, 2001, working against New Jack lol. ECW and USWA were the feeder systems but I just fantasy book these weird scenarios like, would WWE have sent The Big Show to ECW in 2002 or whenever it was to lose all that weight and get his attitude right??

You know what isn't solid? Commercials. I'm watching Backlash 1999 last night and after every match, commercials. Weak.

We have to be realistic and respect that the Network was far superior prior to Peacock. Maybe that 1 billion will help get more wrestlers paid. I mean, truth is, wrestlers now make way more money than they did when Austin was on top or when Hogan was top. It's spread around more let's just say that. When I found out Dean Ambrose was in the top 10 highest paid wrestlers, and I think maybe #3 in terms of legit full time, making 7+ figures. That's awesome. Especially when WWE basically uses the wrestling aspect to do what TNT did to WCW. Funnel that loot to all these other projects that don't really make money.

The key is, the international tv deals. Where people can still enjoy the Network in it's pre-Peacock form, but maybe it's worse....Fuck it.

Are you using the $4.99 or $5.99 or whatever price it is? If you use the $9.99 version, which is the same as what the WWE Network was, you won't have to deal with the commercials.

Though, some movies still have ads but they are for Peacock shows and movies and last only 15 seconds or so. I watched the first Harry Potter movie and there were maybe 6 or 7 commercials throughout the movie.

I have no idea. The browsing format is very shitty on peacock. I had to Google what series it was under because searching by name yielded no results.

Peacock finally has profiles and a watch list you can scroll through.

The WWE profile pics you can choose from right now are Roman Reigns, Asuka, and Sasha Banks.

The WWE's Most Wanted Treasures episode on Andre the Giant is outstanding. Easily the best in the series thus far. Very touching and really captured what the show is about and why preserving/displaying these artifacts matters. Great tribute to Andre. Also, I fucking love big softie Mark Henry.

The Seth Rollins episode replaced it. I just assumed it was already filmed and the WWE decided to hold off on it like they did with the Kevin Nash episode.

Either way it needs to happen. Cena and Stone Cold together, it's one of those things that you just don't really see. I'm also thinking about how close we were to seeing these 2 fight. Missed each other by about a year.

Just as a one-off, I’d love to see Hardy vs Reigns in a ladder match or even a regular match. Give him the storyline where he gets one more shot at glory. Could be kick-ass.

Not certain if they’ll go that far but would be cool.

If they were willing to push the envelope, the promos could be fire. Reigns not taking him seriously and the Bloodline mocking him for his issues. Then he just looks at Jimmy and goes “Really?” And/or bring up how Reigns was once suspended.

watched no way out 2001 last night.

damn what a PPV. everything was good, lots was great. triple h/austin held up so much better than i expected. awesome match. main event was fantastic with a great homestretch. steph/trish was awesome actually. four way IC title match was great. everything else was at least fun and energetic. all time great show. perfect pacing, perfect timing. 2 hour and 45 minute PPVs should be the rule with very, VERY limited exceptions.

Yeah it's odd how long everything got the last decade. THAT roster got in and out in 165 minutes. With an unusually long (for the era) match thrown in. For me that's the middle PPV in the best 3 stretch of all time. The Rumble never felt more loaded despite being top heavy, No Way Out was tight and action packed, then the return to stadiums after a 9 year absence for the culmination of the Attitude era. Out of context it's all great, but what a time that was to be a fan.

Probably would've happened, too, if he didn't do what he did.

We still have it intact. Kinda sucks for you guys having it on Peacock with their restrictions and all.

Really like that show. Should be a very interesting conversation with those three dudes.

Caught the Broken Skull Sessions with Bubba/Bully Ray recently. Refreshingly honest and of my favourites so far. Interesting stuff including his struggles to find a trainer, his start in ECW, the planning of the TLC 2 at Mania X-7 (he wanted the mid-air Spear spot between Edge/Jeff before the big end table spot and how Rhyno helped them plan the Spear spot) and how he didn’t want to be in a motorcycle gang before his run with Aces and Eights.

I don't think I've watched that show since I had it on VHS when I was about 10. What makes you say that?

Road-Dogg being the smartest man in wrestling to wear a cup to counter a low blow was funny and the ladder match was fun though I don’t know why the next night they just said it was Boss Man screwing with the briefcase though it was implied.

Billy Gunn though awful choice for KOTR and why they didn’t just have the Outlaws fight in the final was weird.
