Personally, I do like the idea of the runner-up money going to the regular season winner.. the season is a long, grueling stretch.. you should get something for winning it. No one remembers second place anyway.

I came 3rd the first year so no money and second last year, lynch running for 150 and 2 tds on Christmas eve cost me the league last winter.

Playing the matchups is important if the people involved have essentially the same scoring potential, but Cam Newton is a potential 20-30 points against any defense. Romo will get his points, but he's not in the same tier. Unless Cam slumps, you should be starting him.

Why on earth you be worried about Wes Welker's targets? He's a lock for 120 of em at minimum if healthy. It's the TD count that can be a downer for him, and that's what you should be feeling good about today.

He WAS a lock for 120 targets with New England, but the question on him for years has been whether his production was due to his fit in that system and his chemistry with Tom Brady. Putting him on a new team with a new quarterback and with two great established receivers already there was more than enough for me to feel uneasy about picking him so high. But yeah, so much for that. 9 catches, 2 touchdowns.

fuck, I am still torn on who to start. I keep going back and forth, I must have changed my qb 5 times. I really feel shakey about starting Newton vs. Seattle. Last year he got 7 points. Romo got 21 and 23 in his two meetings with the Giants.

I have no idea what to do. I might just flip a coin.

Yea. Newton had 3 fantasy points per game over Romo last year. That's a small enough gap that I would play the matchups in this extreme case.

This is why I have always had a clear starter in the past, but in my other draft the internet cut out and I autodrafted Romo. fuck me, now do I take it as a sign that I should start him? Or will he cost me the win. On paper in my league it is the two best drafted teams playing each other and I'd love to get the W.

this is why I love/hate fantasy football, cuz no matter how much I over think it I'll most likely start the wrong guy.

Yeah, I was sure Wilson was going to put you out of reach, but the guy ended up with negative points. It was a rough week for running backs across the board, really. Charles did well for me, but almost all of the 1st round picks were disappointments.
