Yeah I'd agree with most of that. The show was, for me, too long in general. 3:30pm start and a 9:15pm finish is a LONG time and that affected the crowd around the Dunne/Ilja match where they died a little but I appreciate they wanted everyone to get on the big show.
In terms of things to be cut...I think you'd just have to cut each match down by 5-7 minutes rather than lose one big thing. The ThunderBastard match was my favourite match on the show but you could've lost 10 minutes off there and not lost a huge amount overall whilst all the other matches could've lost 5 minutes and still been superb. I haven't seen official timings but I reckon every match touched 20 minutes except maybe Haskins/Riddle?
The video packages were great quality and I've seen people calling for them to be cut but I think for the more casual (or first time like half of our group) fan they were a necessity. Same for Jakobi's promo. A big chunk of that crowd had zero concept of Dragunov and they needed to put him over a bit (I fucking loved his entrance btw and hope he becomes a progress staple now. That entrance in the Ballroom would be fucking rocking).
There's not been a huge amount of chat about the matches themselves which is a shame because match quality was, as always, at the top end. I'll do a little review later on when I've got more minutes.
