Player of the season: Juan Mata

Manager of the season: Alex Ferguson

Team of the season: Man Utd

Goal of the season: Van Persie against Villa

Achievement of the season: Bradford getting to the league cup final

    Match of the season:

Moment of the season: For me personally it was Hull going up but Fergie's reception yesterday was pretty special in fact this past weekend was pretty good with everything at Old Trafford , the FA Cup final , Petrov getting a lap of honour after Villa fans cheered him all season during the 19th minute. The end of Watford-Leicester. Moyes getting a good send off too. Even Lampard breaking the record.

Biggest surprise of the season: Fergie retiring

Best signing of the season: Christian Benteke or Nathianel Clyne (England's future RB)

Worst signing of the season: Can't decide between Scott Sinclair or Marko Marin - What exactly was the point of signing them?

    Most improved player: Andreas Weimann

    Team of the year:
    GK: Lloris
    RB: Zabaleta
    CB: Evans
    CB: Vertoghen
    LB: Baines

Player of the season: Luis Suarez

Manager of the season: Rafa Benitez

Team of the season: Man U

Goal of the season: Suarez vs. Zenit - Free Kick perfection

Achievement of the season: Wigan winning the FA Cup

Match of the season: Reading vs. Arsenal, League Cup - Pure entertainment

Moment of the season: Ben Watson's header in the FA Cup final

Biggest surprise of the season: Wigan beating Man City in the FA Cup Final

Best signing of the season: Benteke - without RVP Man U probably still win the title. Without Benteke, Villa would already be relegated.

Worst signing of the season: Scott Sinclair, Man City - What a waste of potential

    Most improved player: Rafael

    Team of the year:
    GK: Mignolet
    RB: Zabaletta
    CB: Evans
CB: Mertesacker (I adore the big lump)
    LB: Baines

Player of the season: Gareth Bale

Manager of the season: Michael Laudrup

    Team of the season: Swansea

Goal of the season: Matt Lowton vs Stoke

Achievement of the season: Wigan winning the FA Cup

Match of the season: Reading vs Arsenal in the League Cup, like JP said it was just brainless fun.

Moment of the season: Toss-up between Bale's ridiculous last minute winner against West Ham, and Ferdinand's goal yesterday providing a fitting end to Ferguson's Old Trafford reign. It was the sort of goal you would want to end on.

Biggest surprise of the season: Barcelona getting pied home and away by Bayern in the Champions League semis.

Best signing of the season: Christian Benteke

Worst signing of the season: The triumvirate of shite at City - Sinclair, Rodwell and Garcia.

Most improved player: Carl Jenkinson. There are loads of players who have improved and are better than him - at Spurs alone I'd cite Lennon, Sandro and Dawson - but Jenkinson has gone from literally one of the worst players I've ever seen at this level to a reasonable, solid player. He's gone from a 2/10 to a 6/10.

    Team of the year:
    GK: De Gea
    RB: Zabaleta
    CB: Ferdinand
    CB: Vertonghen
    LB: Baines
    RM: Mata

Manager of the season: Michael Laudrup

Team of the season: Manchester United

Goal of the season: Matthew Lowton vs Stoke City

Achievement of the season: Manchester United winning the league at a canter with a team that on the surface looks quite weak.

Match of the season: I don’t really watch other teams so Everton beating Manchester City 2-0 at Goodison

Moment of the season: Alex Ferguson retiring

Biggest surprise of the season: Nigel Adkins being sacked.

Best signing of the season: Michu

Worst signing of the season: Fabio Borini

Player of the season: Robin Van Persie

    Manager of the season: SAF

Team of the season: Manchester United

Goal of the season: RVP vs Aston Villa

Achievement of the season: Wigan winning the FA Cup (although if they go down, it might be tarnished slightly)

Match of the season: Reading/Arsenal as others have said.

Moment of the season: Alex Ferguson's last game.

Biggest surprise of the season: MMH is a bastard (Although this was not a surprise).

Best signing of the season: Robin Van Persie. JP said that United would have won the league without him. That may be true, but if Man City had bought him, it might be a different story.

Worst signing of the season: Rodwell/Sinclair

Most improved player: Rafael. Cemented his place whilst his brother fucked off. Hopefully Fabio can step up.

    Team of the year:
    GK: De Gea

    CB: Vertonghan
    LB: Baines

How does Wigan being relegated tarnish winning the FA Cup for fuck sake?

Because the FA cup has got fuck all to do with the premier league, completely separate competition.

Well, teams could go ALL out for the FA Cup and win it and finish rock bottom of the league every year.

That wouldn't be considered an "achievement" looking at the "season" all things considered.

Of course relegation tarnishes an FA Cup win.

    OK I change my answer:

Achievement of the season: Wigan becoming the first team to win the FA Cup and be relegated in the same season.

    Aye.

If Man United win the Champions League next season and get relegated. I'd say that might tarnish the celebrations a bit.

    Seriously, how? Just how?

Two different competitions. That's like saying O'Sullivan coming bottom of the Snooker Premier League tarnishes his World Championship victory. Mental.

You go and say to the Wigan fans 'Would you take winning the FA cup, if it meant getting relegated' and then go to them and say 'would you take winning the FA cup and staying up' and see what disparate responses you get.

No it isn't. These are two co-current competitions for starters. But the snooker premier league doesn't have relegation and it also isn't the main competition.

Look at it conversely. If Ronnie wins the Premier League Snooker but gets knocked out in the first round of the Worlds, does that tarnish his PL win? Yes.

    Wrong question to ask.

The question is would you prefer to win the final and be relegated or lose the final and stay up. I can promise you that only a small minority of Wigan fans would take the survival option. We got saddled with the same stuff after winning the League Cup and being relegated. Relegation happens, especially for teams of our size. Winning things is a rarity, but the joy of winning easily eclipses to pain of relegation.

10 years from now people will struggle to remember which three teams got relegated in this season. They'll name the FA Cup winners in an instant.

    No they wont.

Furthermore if Wigan dont come back up again in 10 years time ultimately they will have suffered for their FA cup triumph. And I'd say that more than a small minority would've taken survival over the cup win.

Remember, the question here is not does relegation completely negate the cup win, its does it tarnish it somewhat? And it does.

In the past they would have, Nowadays im not so sure. They have fucked with the tradition of the FA cup final so much that it means nothing other than to the team who wins it, and even then not so much.

Wigan will be remembered as the team who won the cup and got relegated though i suppose.

I dont know why you are arguing with turdy anyway, he seems to think Swansea won it...

Player of the season: Gareth Bale

Manager of the season: Alex Ferguson, for winning the league comfortably with no wingers and an average defence.

Team of the season: Swansea City

Goal of the season: Lowton vs Stoke

Achievement of the season: Bradford run in the cup was very impressive.

    Match of the season:

Moment of the season: The play off semi final (Watford win)

Biggest surprise of the season: QPR squad not bothering under Redknapp.

Best signing of the season: has to be Benteke just over Michu because we would be down without him.

Worst signing of the season: I don't know why Bowery got a shout when he wasn't even our worst signing. A few stick out, and they are all at Man City. Or Borini.

Most improved player: Jenkinson, Delph, Rafael, Fellaini.

Can't be arsed to do the team.
