I actually think having dead people come back made it a hell of a lot easier. They were completely wiped out from active roles... no "was that maybe a role block and can I maybe put a cross next to the active roles?" nonsense. Pure, definitive "they definitely aren't X"

Night kill on JP by Mafia is much less painful on them than the pushing water uphill effort that it took our entire scum team to do in Grim’s game!
The one thing that was mostly weird in this game (and there was a lot lol) was @Fro really pushing @Kneeneighbor as town like he knew. I’ve not been around as much as the rest of you guys, but have gotten a grasp of Knee’s stubborn style and had an educated guess he was actually town yet Fro in his defense just said he was a thousand times town himself. If he put more in his own defense, Psycho could very well have been lynched instead in that showdown they had.
I can explain this. I thought I got by with no one asking, lol.
I went rogue. I false claimed info to get a lynch through, even though I was town. But I claimed soft info because if someone else had hard info I didn't want to stop it. I considered it like a vig lynch and I was ready to defend myself if Knee flipped green, but his role stayed hidden and he got resurrected anyway. It was a giant game with a lot of factions so I figured my odds were good and the risk was low. Someone had to get lynched, and I felt my random guess was as good as anything else. I was also motivated to split up the Knees and Dees connection due to past mischief. I didn't want to call them out or make accusations, and I still don't, but I had my suspicions so I decided to do what I did.
If they were on the level, then I'm sorry Knee.
Fair enough, I knew there must have been something to it. I just went on the gut read that Knee would have come across less frustrated if he was scum and/or would have made more attempt to misdirect if he was bad. Plus the fact there was no info in the write-up against him.
It was just a shame you didn’t say more in your case against Psycho who tbf is tough to argue against. Good play by the purple squad there.

Will post a sign-up thread, leave it open for say maybe a week to gage interest and then depending on interest, I’ll create the amount of roles around that rather than set out template and try to chase people to fill up the spots. Then I’ll post the actual game thread in April.

I changed my whole idea for my next game, because I want to switch things up from the last few and not go to the well I did last time. I think I kinda like trying to switch things up from the last several games when I go.
I was struggling for a while on what to change, but think I had an epiphany this morning on a mechanic and two roles.
Will play a lot different than my last game, but I think variety is good.

Cool. I've been putting together the final pieces of the intro story for He-Man: Masters of the Mafiaverse. I've been watching old cartoons with my little one and pretty much thought of a neat idea and it came together nice and quick. Nothing too crazy like last game, 21 people.
So depending on your time frame I can go after or before if you need more time.
I'm gonna be doing the Mafia Universe championships very soon so won't be taking part in any other games while that's going on as need to focus on that they seem VERY active!
If I do get knocked out early though and there's still sign-ups and a game going on here then I should be in.

I'll see, it depends on what date my qualifier tie starts. From what I gather, you have to be on top of those games pretty much all the time much more than on here.
I did request a date from mid-May onwards. Between that and dealing with moany customers from my home base during the day from home.

I am intrigued by all of us in a Mafia game. I remember someone a couple years ago teased doing something like that but it never happened.

Has anyone noticed that our Mafia games are like that age old adage about guys who watch porn (everyone)? We started off belting one out to a clothing catalogue of someone in a bra. We got the internet and boom, actual nude women! Then nude women having sex! Then nude women having sex with other women! Slowly it got more depraved to get off and you find yourself more and more disgusted when you are done.
We keep getting crazier and crazier with our game mechanics just to keep things interesting. I don't know if we would have the interest with a near completely vanilla game these days.
I think we’re talking different Endgames but I have an Avengers mafia in the works. That being said I’m not sure when I can run it so if someone else wanted to do it I wouldn’t mind just playing in it. But it’s coming at some point in 2021.
And yea my shit feels basic by comparison. I don’t generally do crazy mechanics. And while I haven’t played the last few games so idk what’s happened recently, I feel that town is benefitting from lack of vanillas. Giving nearly every player a role makes spreadsheeting too easy. Need more vanillas.

Badger you are the only UK game runner I think? I had a idea for someone to do only fools and horses mafia, I would be able to sort out what roles and alignments would be but would need a runner, This would be great as it will confuse a lot of our American friends.
Stan/Dreyski runs games as well but sure I don’t mind helping out.
Well I was more suggesting I figure out characters and you can run it as I would like to play it lol, Just a thought and there's no rush.
Then again I dunno, Maybe you are familiar enough with the characters yourself.
