Yup. There is a group that came over from another site that play mafia with us. I don't know the whole story since they came over before I started playing or around the time I started playing.
And I got my whole family to play.
psycho negotiated a crossover with his favorite non-rajah community.
A contingent of Rajahites also ventured over to their site for some games.
It's been awesome, because the new players are very strong and cool as hell.
Also, we now have the entire House of MTR.

The site is technically up on its new host, but the forums are turned off while its being built and everything is set to defaults.
When you were tinkering with a new site, I did sign up for that so not sure if you still have that. Will this be a whole new site when you get round to it?

That was an old copy of the site. Everyone will need to sign up again once the new one is ready.
It should actually be smooth this time and not a whole host of email issues like there were last time since this is hosted directly by Xenforo themselves utilizing their cloud datacenters.
The site is much quicker than VB5 we had and should be able to do the same, if not more features, to start with.
Some of the cool things it can do:
1. Bookmarks/Notes - You can save a link to a post/post itself and write notes on it.
2. Post BBCode - This will allow you to do like post and /post around a number and it will automatically link to that post (makes it easier to tell people what post you liked/hated)
3. ISO
4. Full quotes/posts inside the search
5. Ability to search the thread like on Rajah
6. Ability to see total post counts like on Rajah
Anything else we can likely add. The only thing we cannot add with this is a vote count bot. This CAN be done down the road, but will require me to change the infrastructure. I will gladly do this, once I build or pay someone to build a working bot. So, all you people who love to post vote counts every .75 seconds, will have to manually do it still.

Oh the site will also have a reputation system, based on reactions. This will be debatable depending on how it goes, but yes. You could technically neg rep someone on the new site, but its public.

I'm working on a game right now, and thinking of my next few.
Not everyone enjoys gamerunning. I prefer to play, but like to run like 2 or 3 a year. If you don't like gamerunning or don't have the time, it can create a scenario where you don't get to play the games you want.
I was pestering psych to run Vanillatown l, because I wanted to play in a game that was less mechanic based.
I'm not as creative as some of the other gamerunners, but I do genuinely enjoy trying to find ways to make things work.
I often have 1 or two things in mind for a game, but often take ideas to work in. Last game, Morrison gave me the idea for the House of MTR incentive, and the no vote killee was inspired by a role vk had.
So as I was thinking through games, and thought about it after reading the Asylum, was curious-
What type of game do you want to play, or are there any elements people want to see worked in or avoided?

Well mentioned already on Discord about doing Mafia Kart 2 on FOS and was going to remake one of the others for Rajah later in the year to put on Rajah. However for the Rajah one, I might try my hand at a Final Fantasy one instead if no-one else is planning on doing it. VII and X have been done but might do VI. Will cross that bridge when it comes to it.
I hear you and what Randolph said in the Asylum. The extra bells and whistles on some of the FoS games being a bit complicated and hard to follow for some is fair. I like throwing in a twist here and there but also like to keep my games fairly simple akin to the way I’ve played them on Rajah for years.

That one that Void ran on his old site. Okay maybe not purely X as had other FF game characters but it came under the X banner if I remember rightly.
Personally, I've never been in for the trivia and bonus games. But I know some people love it, so I wouldn't say that we should never have those. Just not my main cup of tea.
Some people don't like vanilla and the no power things, but I love that stuff.
You know I'm down for pretty much all styles. Experimental or otherwise.

I am pretty open to just about anything honestly. I may complain about bastard gamerunners at times but that is all in fun. I don't think I have played anything that I truly didn't like or remember anything specific things that I was not super crazy about.
I am still debating running a game at some point and I appreciate the people that gave me some notes from previous games they ran.
Just saw Super Mario and it definitely made me want to do Captain N 4 with tons of trivia and resurrections.
