On that note though I'd like to bring back up something I've said in the past.
A win should always be given to all town members if town wins and all scum members if scum wins unless that person has an explicit must survive until the end role and that doesn't mean adding "and you survive until the end" to all your characters.
Many times a town will expose themselves to give info. When they get killed that shouldn't mean they lost if it ends up with a town victory.

I have a count for wins with the team incase you died also. Only way you don't get the teammate win on my count is if you got modkilled.

Is there anyone that doesn't count it this way? I feel like gamerunners have pretty consistently considered a win for all members of a team in the last few years.
But this is good advice for new people: if you're town and you have a weaker role, or you have vital info to share, dying to help town is always better than keeping mum on info/suspicions just because you want to survive longer.
Really, it's mostly mafia that need to try and survive longer, as that makes winning easier.
I definitely consider all players winning unless they have conditions that aren't met. And of course unless they get riled up by being told they lose, I definitely always tell them they don't win.

Town is easier to learn in a lot of ways. And there's less pressure. 0-2 as scum is nothing to be worried about. Honestly, you did really well last game. And it was a decently high pressure game.

Theme mattering seems to be a divided opinion. For some yes and if that does for you Peter then fair play. I will admit I was geeked for FF7 but really though I’m personally not too bothered by theme because we can’t role-play as them as we can’t breadcrumb.
Yeah, I think it depends on the person. PG might be one of those people who needs a theme they appreciate, and fair play. But I personally don't care whether I know the theme or not. The game's ultimately the same.

After the pre-game conversation about lynching, I have a day 1 mechanic I really wanna try.
Oh believe me it is loads of hassle. I do enjoy what we get don’t get me wrong and those who take part have been great but there’s always drop-outs every year and trying to cover it keeping the game going while trying to speed it along is a pain in the arse.
Trying to do it again for Mafia where I’ve less experience and knowing how to balance things could be even more difficult. At least with Wilfred’s there’s more time to come up with pre-prepared questions rather than running a Mafia script trying to keep everyone interested.
Still up for Wilfred’s again next year. This time I wanna compete and get the ring-rust off.
If I ever do another game I might look at having a handful of day roles in to spice it up a bit. A nightmare with the time differences sometimes but still can be amusing.
Not holding a grudge or anything but may change my policy to D1 lynch HFR next game.

If someone wants to learn how to play and some things aren't as enjoyable yet, because of random draws, flavor, a newly invented mechanism, grim running a mental experiment, etc....I'd be down with letting them kinda have a partner for a game. Only the newer player would actually play, but you'd let the other player pm them, answer questions, etc.
A lot would like to sort through things on their own, but could be a good option for some to get weird things sorted faster.

I had talked to Rev about running Survivor, but on Friday last week I found out I'm picking up a new region at work. It would probably not be a good time for me to run that game, which takes a decent amount of gamerunning time.
I have an idea I could run if no one else wants to. It would probably be a smaller game with less power roles, and a small unique mechanic that would keep it fresh, but not really reinvent the wheel or throw too many loops.
I've also been thinking about running another Rugrats game, but that would involve more weird power roles and chaos, so probably not the best to do next.
I'm up for anything.
I have a couple ideas banging around my brain but the one I want to do most I feel would be best played in December.

The first day has to be JP in a gin tree.
Its a purely theoretical game with 12 town members (the 12 days of christmas). The number of votes required to lynch are based off their day. So, if you're the gold rings it only requires 5 votes. 10 for the drummers, etc. Power roles are also based on the item and day.
Its obviously imperative for scum (represented by the ex lovers of the gift recipient-trying to stop the true love) to find and kill the higher numbers, as they are exceedingly difficult to lynch, but can be identified by town if they get high votes.
Its all the rage on the boards Psycho frequents. But nobody could pull it off in real life. It would be madness.
Muppet Christmas Carol is clearly superior.
