Triple H is super fucking intelligent. Just look @ his career from day one.
So I have to imagine as it was said he surrounds himself with the right people. William Regal for example is older than Triple H and he was very vocal about bringing in talent like Finn Balor, Hideo Itami, a few others. And Vince was the same way 20-30 years ago. Even today. It wasn't like Vince was sitting there 3-4 years ago watching AJ Styles tapes. Someone was in his ear saying "This guy needs to come straight to the main roster".
With Vince, he's 70 some odd years old and has been doing this forever and he wears probably 12 more hats than Triple H does behind the scenes. But Triple H is also a WRESTLING fan. So I think while he has his own quirks, he knows good wrestlers when he sees them. He was molded by the elite: Killer Kowalski, William Regal, HBK, Diesel, Razor, he's been under Vince's wing since he walked in and joined up with the Klik. He was the guy who managed to also rekindle dead relationships with the WWE and Bruno, Ultimate Warrior, Kurt Angle, the list goes on.
As much as we shit on Triple H, it was probably worth it when you think about the positives he's brought to the table these last 5-6 years.

I was watching "The Wrestlers" on Vice with MVP and I would like to see him come back to the WWE for a short run or atleast a surprise Rumble appearance.

Honestly, in the PG-era, they're not going to mention the time Kane set him on fire. And they're not going to bring up the Chris Benoit matches until Benoit ascends from Hell and forces them to with an army of Hell's demons at his back.

Yeah I'm not anti-Becky necessarily, but I think she's incredibly overrated. I don't love her matches, and I find her promos to be very underwhelming.
She gets a big pop, but usually ruins that momentum in the first 5 seconds of speaking. I just feel like she's the nice girl pretending to be a badass.
I believed Austin was a badass. With Becky, it feels like "I've tried other stuff, now I'll try acting tough and see if that works."
I still thinks she's one of the top 5 women on the roster, but I don't get all the hype the past 12 months. Her best stuff is on social media.

Let's not mince words, Becky's been bang average since the Rumble.
A lot of that isn't her fault. The awful injury angle, going on last after a 73 day long WM, thrown straight into nonsense with no direction.
But even taking that into consideration, she's been meh. In the ring, where she is supposed to shine, there has been nothing of note. She's sharp on the mic and twitter, but honestly, a lot of it rubs the wrong way, there's a meanness to it which wasn't the case with other anti-hero figures such as Austin.
She's a tad boring right now.
All of these were handled pretty badly though. Nobody asked for a rubbish brand split or wanted Sasha who turned heel and face about 50 times in a feud/not feud with Bayley that went nowhere or wanted a CW title that meant nothing and was buried away on a TV show barely anyone watches.No one hates wrestling more than wrestling fans.

There needs to be more than just giving people what they want. They have to invest in it.

I wanted a 4th Evil Dead movie. What we got sucked. Not everyone agrees it sucked but I personally thought it did.
The problem I have with this premise that fans are fickle is that one fan doesn't reflect all fans. So if I say, and this all hypothetical, that I want the brand split to end that doesn't mean everyone else feels the same as I do. But more often than not, WWE and the super fans of WWE will try to blanket everyone to make excuses for giving us duds.
It's like when people go "You wanted fresh faces in the main event, now you have No Way Jose so quit bitching" No. QUALITY fucking matters.

I'm a huge Becky mark and always hoped she'd get her moment in the sun. Her ascent to the top of the Women's Division exceeded my expectations, but what I originally liked about her is gone. It's one thing to be a badass, it's another thing to be a jerk. Everything feels like a dick measuring contest with Becky right now, and it was getting old before we even got to 'Mania. Her character seems to have a perpetual chip on her shoulder. She's done what no woman has done before in WWE, but still seems to think of herself as the underdog.
Becky's far more entertaining on twitter, but it's reached the point where she's picking fights with people just for the sake of it. It feels like she becoming Andy Kaufman. She's the only one in on the joke while everyone else is left scratching their heads. I'm with Edge. I liked her better when she made bad puns and was a dork.

Technically it's not really a remake. All the Evil Dead movies have the same premise. The first 3 all kind of start out the same and then branch off into their own thing. They all 3 start with Ash and his gf (and sometimes more) showing up to the cabin, and then they go down a different path than the previous. The 4th one, people say it's a remake and I though it was too until you watch it all the way through and then you realize that it's actually part of the overall Evil Dead story.
The latest movie is like watching WWE. They make you waste your money and time sitting through this story only to realize after the credits roll that you fucked up and have to make it right. Like Daniel Bryan's path to the main event of WM 30. Did we really need that Oct-Feb stretch of Orton v. Big Show and Cena? Nope. lol.

I think a lot of people are being turned off by WWE right now and this will not help! With so many other options, I feel less and less attached and this right here would disconnect me even more. This past week was the first time in years I didn't even scroll through Raw or Smackers. NXT, NJPW and AEW are very fulfilling right now.
What if, with Shane McMahon proclaiming himself to be the best in the world, wins the title, and then issues an open challenge and CM Punk answers the challenge? People would lose their mind.
When's the next AEW PPV? In August? Everyone is assuming Punk will show up there because it's in Chicago. But what if CM Punk shows up earlier at SummerSlam to answer an open challenge from Shane McMahon? It would be completely unexpected. CM Punk is my favorite.
In the extremely unlikely event that Punk ever went back to WWE, I'm confident he wouldn't do so for a feud with Shane McMahon. Never say never, but I really don't see that happening.
Next AEW PPV is August, aye. I don't think Punk will show up, but it's certainly a possibility. Can't say I'm fussed either way, but if he were to show up, I feel he'd have to be a heel.
Way more of a chance he shows up to AEW. it would be cool if he came back to WWE but can't see it happening especially since things seem to have gotten worse than when he was there

In the interview Killer Kross did with the Wrestling Perspective podcast, he says Scarlett Bordeaux is living at home with her mom still and working a 9-5 job because of how little money she's making at Impact Wrestling.
Impact has not agreed to release her from her contract.
I remember the story of Taylor Wilde having to work at a mall part time selling sunglasses when she was the champ, during a time they still had money! People can praise the quality of Impact these days I guess, but that company, under totally different management, still fucking over the talent.
Scarlett is beautiful, great look, seems to really know how to handle her character, definitely could be an asset elsewhere.

At this stage, that brand is so damaged that they'll probably release them and save the PR hit. I've no idea why anybody that backs themselves would have signed exclusively with them in the last 5 years though, that show's not going anywhere. At least ROH tour and have the door into NJPW and CMLL.
To be fair, IMPACT only tapes 2-3 days a month and both KK and SB came in as virtual unknowns. Through IMPCT, they’ve both started runs in Mexico and across the indies that keep them hooked very solidly every weekend. I imagine the pay at impact isn’t amazing because they’re still such an early investment.
that being said, both are phenomenal in their roles. Kross is a great promo and Scarlett really is a smoke show.

Taylor Wilde had that job BEFORE working for TNA and since she was only working a handful of days there a month, she kept the Sunglass Hut job as a part time to earn some extra cash and have something to do.
During that time there was absolutely no reason their women's champion should need to work anywhere for extra cash. Christy Hemme probably was paid more to ring announce than Taylor was to wrestle.

What was Booker T doing for those 28 days making 700,000k a year? Did you ever even hear her talk about it? She didn't sound like someone who was bringing it up as a positive. At that time TNA were also running house shows, maybe they still do idk I'm not a mark for the company. But again, women's champion owned by a billion $ company who hadn't put the restraints on Dixie yet shouldn't be needing to still work at the mall in her hometown just to make ends meet. Because it wasn't for extra cash, it was because she wasn't getting paid enough to NOT work there....

She was not even two months into her TNA run when she won the title. She’d had three matches. TNA was stupid for putting the belt on her, but for 3-4 days a month for a brand new talent with no outside name value...she wasn’t gonna be earning big bucks anywhere.

Viewership was absolutely in the toilet the last I heard. Don't know the figures, but I'm assuming BT Sport is in less homes than Sky Sports. This can't be a good move for WWE. That said, subscriber numbers probably aren't all that different for both.

Can only think it's part of a strategy for BT to eventually have an entertainment channel and it'll be on that. Or the rights were dirt cheap. They gave up rights for Serie A and NBA to replace them with a product where the flagship shows are in the middle of the night with a dwindling, niche consumer base?

Not really. You haven't been paying attention. While I don't have much use for Hogan, I admit I have softened my position on him. It really bugged me that in all the statements he released , he wasn't really taking responsibility for actually saying all that crap. He kept trying to make the focus on the fact that he was recorded without his consent, and it could happen to anyone.
It wasn't until Booker T interviewed him, a few months back, that he actually heard him acknowledge and admit that the crap he said was just plain wrong. Whether it was sincere or not - it sounded sincere, but when I remembered how horrible an actor Hogan is, I don't think he was just saying it.
I put all of this in another email to the WWE - I'd like them to post Booker T's interview with Hogan on their own website. Because it's important to get out the message that Hogan wasn't brought back just to warn folks about not getting caught, but its also to take responsibility, and to refute, his racist comments.
I probably am not ready to forgive him for everything, but I have stopped hating him.

It's odd. The last time I read anything on it, the numbers indicated longer wrestling matches were leading to the higher rated segments of each show. This was noteworthy because up until the last few years that's never been the case. Shorter matches always worked better. And with no breaks during matches you can bet we will see shorter ones.
Perhaps something in the numbers indicated the trend was reversing? Or maybe Vince just wants to change the pace of the show. Either way it couldn't hurt to try anything different at this point.
Is Randy Orton due back soon?
