Any interest in a Jim Neidhart or The Mountie? Both new in the box.

Do we really not have an MLW thread??

Ol Mancer says he’s asked for a release. That roster continues to dwindle. I hope Mancer doesn’t go the NXT route and goes to ROH/impact instead

Depends on what he wants. He's not going to be able to build his name better anywhere else other than the WWE platform. I've never seen any of his work. He looks like Mark Briscoe. Plus, he could probably use the level of training he'd get in NXT versus anywhere else. Nobody even comes close.

And then he could be indie guy number 247 with nothing to do down there. He's great in the ring, got a unique look, and cuts promo like it's no one's business. I think his path to success involves avoiding the wwe performance center as best he can

I don't know much about this guy but what about AEW? I know MJF used to be big in MLW, not sure if this guy is one of his friends or not.

AEW is too crowded right now. Warner would be great in there with some of the hosses for sure, but i dont know if they've got room for any more people in AEW. I dont even like how many people theyve signed lately.

Yeah, you're not wrong. It might not be as mad when they get their new show as long as it's more like Dynamite and less like Dark. They could make some cuts though, off the top of my head The Acclaimed and Joey Janella for starters. Butcher and The Blade too. 10 and Alan Angels (5?) from the Dark Order.

As opposed to indie guy number 297 in a promotion that 20 people watch every week? Like I said, depends on what he wants out of wrestling. If he wants to work for a promotion that sucks, well that's everywhere so it really depends on his goals. Judging by his look he wants to be Mark Briscoe 2003.

On their FB page one of the comments were something about the reason they parted ways is because ROH turns 18 this year, something to that affect....brutal.

Name 1 company in entertainment that does.

And what exactly does your location mean? lol

I will say this...if Marty's in to the youth it explains why he was so deep in bed with the Bucks. They haven't aged since they were 9.

Mance Warner vs. RUSH for The Ring of Honor World Championship, as that company continues to tread water and struggle to find anything for people to latch onto.

I'm listening to Jim Ross talking about Ultimate Warrior and Hogan burying the hatchet supposedly and I started thinking about all of Hogan's main WWF rivals who passed away. Andre, Piper, Savage, Warrior. His WCW rivals are still going but in bad shape i.e. Flair and Luger. Sting seems alright.

    Its the Hulk Hogan curse.

Big Show, Kevin Sullivan, and... Sting? Better all watch out.

Hell, Sting's a senior citizen with a fucked up neck. He's not doing that great either.

Still wish they would have named T-Bar "K-Bar" instead. T-Bar sounds like something you put up to hold up a drywall during a construction project. At least a K-Bar is a really badass knife.

Manager during chat today: “Cannot believe there is a Scottish guy as champion now! Out of touch!”
Me: “Well, not just you out of touch. They’re bringing back Bill Goldberg to challenge him at the Royal Rumble!”
Manager: “Is he not like late 50 years auld?”

You know this match will suck with Goldberg in it. 2 minute squash win for Drew please.

It'll be the same as the 'Mania 36 title matches, surely. Big moves, kick-outs and over in about 6 minutes with Drew retaining.

Or they do what they did last year, with it being 'Mania season, and Billy boy is getting the gold.

Goldberg beating KO for the universal title is where my interest in WWE just about died. Then Brock holding that belt captive for 18 months killed the rest of it.

It was Goldberg's Saudi appearance vs. Taker, where he gave himself a concussion prior to the match, and botched several moves, that made most fans cringe. At least with the earlier Brock stuff, the story and the matches weren't completely terrible. This was just a reminder that Goldberg never was a great in-ring performer.

When goldberg beat KO like a jabroni, it hit me that this company was gonna push old men over their talented young roster.

I lost all interest until Mania New York and stopped watching again after that.

I remember feeling bad that Goldberg got pretty much 99.9% of the blame. All while Undertaker was putting on shit match after shit match, damn near killing people INCLUDING GOLDBERG. Neither man had any business doing that match under any circumstances.

Ultimately the WWE are to blame. These guys don't work for AEW where they can do whatever the fuck they want because the guy with the final say is a 35 year old mark. Probably why Goldberg should've gone there, Mini Dixie Bischoff aka Tony Khan would have that guy as champion by now squashing the Flying Elvis knock offs in a heartbeat.

I wonder what WWE thinks when almost all of social media is against this kind of booking. They can't go LOOK AT THE LIVE CROWD, they hated this shit too except in a place where cricket is the #1 sport and women were just allowed to bathe.

Yeah he really hasn't had much to brag about. Boneyard was dope. I actually just watched him and Kane v. Harper/Wyatt, that was probably the last in-ring match that I saw of Taker that I was like, damn that was pretty good. Roman match wasn't that bad but other than those 2 matches, fuck it all lol. Taker you're looking SAWFT

Very interesting. Talent and coach for NXT UK. Satomura is one of the OG's from the 90's that I saw on WCW Nitro. Always comes through with a good-great performance no matter where/who she's wrestling.

With it being only an hour, I'm still watching NXT UK. Since the re-launch, anyway. I had stopped. Not seen this week's yet though, but will tonight. Excellent news about Satomura.

I enjoyed the Chris Van Vliet interview with Freddie Prinze Jr. His comments about when he was a writer, being willing to argue with Vince were enlightening. As a fan of the product, but being financially independent enough that he didn't have to worry about getting shot down. When he gave his notice, Steph reportedly told him they were going to make him head writer on Smackdown.

Feeling a weird sense of Deja Vu because I definitely watched an interview with him before where he was talking about playing WoW during a creative meeting with Vince but forgetting to mute it and Vince being like "What the hell was that?!"

The former Tyler Reks has shed the beard and is now the transgender Gabbi Tuft. Good for her. I hope she finds more support than she would have expected, but it takes tremendous courage sometimes to just be yourself.

The sad part is my friends and I were doing stuff exactly like this back in HS. Even the camera quality was somehow immaculate for that era.

This has been a strange couple years in general for wrestling. I was like 10 cringing to death seeing babyface Doink's run and the Dungeon of Doom. Today that shit would have been popping at least a 2 rating each segment.

Sting v. Hollywood Hogan should have happened at Bash at the Beach 1997.

I watched a few matches from the Rock Bottom: In Your House PPV from 1998. Man was the main event bad. Stone Cold vs Undertaker in a Buried Alive match and they totally botched the final spot with Austin using a backhoe to fill in the grave. The thing barely reached the grave and definitely didn't reach enough to push in more dirt from the back side of the grave as it was supposed to. So then Austin threw a handful of dirt on and was declared winner. LOL. And the trap door in the grave was funny how they had Kane appear and then Undertaker disappeared at the end despite clearly not having been buried in dirt. It was laughably bad.

I don't even remember that match, other than it being really bad.

I watched the IYH from the previous December the other day, Degeneration X. Loads of dross and loads of DQs. Only decent match was Taka and Brian Christopher. That was a fun opener.

The main event though, Shamrock and Michaels. To me, the interference of HHH and Chyna ruined it for me. Michaels grabbed or distracted Hebner about a dozen times. I know it's wrestling, but it made Hebner look like such a fucking spanner, it was unreal. Like so stupid that you'd be surprised he could count to 3 kind of stupid. Took me right out of the match.

Also, the Owen Hart run-in after the DQ. I've always wondered about this. It was his first appearance since the 'screwjob' the month before. His shots to Michaels looked a little stiff and Michaels was left with a bloody nose. I know that Owen was supposed to be working with Shawn after this, but if I remember correctly, Michaels ended up refusing, leaving Owen working a programme with Helmsley. I mean, obviously there was heat there, but those punches did look stiff and I wonder if that contributed to Shawn's refusal to work with the guy.

Wow, MSG went nuts when Michaels pinned HHH to win the World Title in the chamber match at Survivor Series 2002. Funny to think how the crowd in that building had turned on him at the same event 6 years earlier against Sid. A babyface both times, of course.

As I was watching it, I also realised that HHH had returned from his quad injury at MSG to a thunderous response just 10 months before this. I know he was working heel by Survivors, but I already got the feeling that fans were tiring of his dominance. And then of course, 2003 was horrible.
