Most people are. Also, Toni Storm and her NFL “war paint”.

So Finn Balor just tied the knot. Explains the rumored time off a lot better. I thought I had heard he was dating Cathy Kelley or Charley Caruso, can't remember which, but that's not who he married so what do I the "news" sites know. Also, Cathy allegedly just broke up with Velveteen Dream although I never heard they were a thing in the first place so who knows where that came from. Gotta get those hits, though.

With wrestlers for many years rockin gear inspired by comic book characters, I think it would be cool if we could make a thread centered around what pro wrestlers would transition well as a comic book character. Or do a thread where you post a wrestler's comic book counterpart, maybe get some cats to freestyle some artwork showing like John Cena as Captain America or some shit like that.

I don't think it's anything personal against Bryan and Brie. Moreso the fact it's considered NEWS. People's pets die all the time, why is this one above the rest? Because it was one of many on Total Divas? I guess I don't watch the show so I don't know the magnitude of a loss like this from a fans perspective. Or to the point where it needed to be covered as news.

Everyone feels that way for the most part about their dog, cat. I get it, just kind of corny that this is a news item. It's like when I go on Yahoo and the first headline is "Kim Kardashian's dog dies suddenly" and then 4-5 headlines down it's "N Korea targets nuke attack on the Midwest" lol.

Yeah, but wrestling news sites aren't reporting about world politics and wars and shit so a headline about their dog isn't out of place. It's like your Kim headline being on some celeb news site.

Naw it was Yahoo, which is essentially now a celeb news site lol. But you're right and I'm just, as they say, taking the piss, out of this whole thing because it's just so corny. But as I'm reading, some of you watch Total Divas and apparently this dog was an integral part of the show which doesn't shock me all things considered. I'm sure when 2 Paws dies we'll have 100 wrestling sites reporting on it.

Considering some of the shit wrestling news sites will post just to get clicks, it's really not shocking this was a story. It's got more significance than a lot of the trivial bullshit they report.

Oh trust me, I think there are a lot of news items that would be better suited for us to just find out on our own i.e. a wrestler's pet passing away, than it being a reason to click on the link.

Also keep in mind the reason this is news is that Josie was a big part of the reality shows. So people feel like they knew the dog.

If this was just a random dog nobody had ever seen before I don't think as many people would care.

Yeah I noticed that after reading a couple posts in here by some that actually put themselves through these shows lol. Like I said, once 2 Paws dies I'm sure that'll be a big news item. I'm not sure if the cat is on the show or not but I see Nattie posting shit about him all the time.

Probably go over everyone's head. I think the days of the mainstream truly caring about things like that have gone away. I can't even remember the last time the WWE did something that made the mainstream turn and go "Oh now that's fucked up!" Hell, back in the day when it would happen all the time it was stupid shit like "they're X'ing their crotches!" "They said DAMN before 9pm!!"

I was thinking more the sponsors, shareholders, PC and animal cruelty brigade would be all over WWE’s arse even if it was a storyline now.

I'm including them as well. When was the last time anyone stepped in and said "WWE, we don't like that!" Used to happen all the time in the Attitude Era. But it seemed like, even when the shit was even more over the top imo with Torrie Wilson's dad and shit like that.....The sponsors, the shareholders, etc. haven't really made public any negatives.

The WWE are probably just more mindful, they just don't do shit that they think might ruffle feathers. And if they do, it's probably something we don't hear about. Makes me think that's why they ditched the Maria Kannelis angle.

At the end of the day, though Romford didn’t put his point across well I’m in agreement that to someone who doesn’t watch Total Divas and I have as much compassion for animals as anyone, it is strange that this was put across as wrestling news but it doesn’t bother me too much. Daniel Pena did far worse mediocre shit on the main page.

We just had two fantastic PPVs but we need a news item about how an ex 'Diva's dog has died and that is supposed to be a story?

For the record I have pets and I love animals. I just think the site shouldn't pander to shite like this.

There's something to be said about how fascinated the old days were with good looking rookies and making it known how good looking these younger guys were.

Dick Blood lol. On the indies today he'd be a god just based on name alone.

I mean how did that name ever get that far? To the papers? Before someone finally laughed at it to his face.

I'm picturing Harley Race laughing holding a cigarette in one hand and a beer in the other.

I haven't seen this in any other thread yet, but did you see the cryptic tweet from Kevin Owens implying he might be going to NXT?

Owens vs Cole feud to kick off their new TV slot? I would love it.

It would be a really smart move by them to do so.

Maybe Owens gets "fired" so he cannot work on Raw or Smackdown, so he goes to NXT.

I love the idea of a bigger name going back to their NXT roots. Hell, I'm down with someone like Orton or Cena working a Takeover match. I really thought last year or whenever it was that Cena was saying he wanted to wrestle Velveteen Dream that they were seriously going to have them throw down. Cena's the type of guy that if the WWE said "We'd like you to show up at an AEW show front row" he would gladly do it. So him working NXT, not out of the question.

Think about it....if Undertaker back in the day worked an OVW show, I see no reason Cena wouldn't be down. Kevin Owens going back to NXT, wow, that would be great for the brand and it'd be right on time.

He is a cunt but he does make a lot of good points about wrestling. Some of the stuff wrestlers do or dont do today dont make sense and ge has a good insight on how they used to be done.

Sure times move forward but I can understand if your taught for years how you should sell everything then you watch a Young Bucks match your gonna be frustrated as hell.

Outside of wrestling, I like his opinions. He's very passionate when it comes to the NRA, for example, and his passion can be outright hilarious at times.

But yeah, wrestling is very hit and miss.

Jim Cornette is awesome. If that makes me a cunt so be it. I love when people get bent out of shape about his opinions to the level that they are. I don't agree with everything he talks about but the outrage culture that pisses themselves whenever he says something that ruffles feathers just makes me laugh. The fact he wants to sue someone over that shirt is laughable as well. Who fuckin cares? Jim Cornette, you're a legendary heel manager, 30 years ago if they had the ability the fans would have made shirts just like this.

I agree, Jim Cornette is awesome. I absolutely hated him as the manager of Yokozuna, Owen Hart, and Vader, but that's the point. I was supposed to hate him. He does seem like an angry asshole these days, but who isn't? At least it's entertaining to watch him rant and rave.

You have a bunch of people in their 20's and early 30's disagreeing with a guy who's like 60 and from a totally different era of wrestling/life. That's how it's always been lol. I'm 37, you damn right I find enjoyment in telling my elders they were doing something wrong lol.

But eventually you become that old guy who was doing it all wrong and the cycle continues. I'm sorry that Jim Cornette felt the need to worry about idiots like G-Raver for fuck's sake. Go learn to take a light tube bump you fuckin bitch. Super Humman and Good Friend Paul should open a school. Woop Woop.

And how about this clown G-Raver..."I'll spit in your fucking mouth" Hey @PeterGriffin Is that acceptable behavior in response to what Cornette TWEETED? Imagine if that was how I responded to your nonsense on this board.

Peter Griffin, I'll spit in your fucking mouth!

Who says that kind of shit? Some dude hiding behind tattoos. Sorry G, this is 2019, the days of hiding weakness behind tats died years ago.

He was damned wrong about Kevin Owens that's for sure and I much enjoyed it when Kevin rubbed it in his face.

In this particular situation, they're both twats. The shirt and Cornette's response.

How was he wrong about Kevin Owens?

He said that KO wouldn't make it to the top if he acted like a douche and didn't lose weight. KO plays by the rules now and lost weight....and he's at the top....

You're over there crying about Jim Cornette while someone of average IQ I would assume is saying weird shit like I'll spit in your fucking mouth....?

That's the joy I find in all of this. These "wrestlers" coming to battle yet they're saying equally if not worse shit than what Corny said. If you're personally offended, well, maybe you should be deathmatch guy lol.

He didn't have any faith in him and thought he would never change from what I can gather. KO made it and Cornette was still meh about it.

And he didn't have any reason to believe KO would. Not everyone has been on the KO bandwagon, there are a lot of people I would imagine aren't fans of him at all for the same reasons Cornette wasn't. And yes, Cornette isn't the type to go "I was wrong and now I love this guy!" No, he admitted he was wrong and pointed out the truth....That KO doing what Cornette wanted him to do would lead to success. KO doing what he was doing in ROH was not going to fly in the WWE and we see the results of his changed ways.

And why do a lot of fans point to that whole KO situation while forgetting about a guy by the name of John Cena. Or Randy Orton. Or Brock Lesnar. Or Batista. 3 of the 4 of those names I just mentioned are 3 of the most popular individuals to ever come out of wrestling. But we're going to sit on Kevin Owens of all people back in Ring of Honor 10 years ago. Who let's not forget, became World champion there under Cornette's watch and held it for many many months.....

Admittedly, I'm not familiar with the entire Owens/Cornette feud backstory but read some stories online as I don't want ROH but has KO really lost his weight or changed all that much? Seems to me and feel free to fill in any missing blanks that KO is more or less the same guy and is successful in spite of Cornette saying he was a fat bastard in a shirt and he'd never make it? He doesn't have to love him now but there must be a reason why KO wanted to rub it in his face so hard. Cornette probably had his part to pkay inwhy their rivalry was so bad.

Cornette is an asshole. And that's part of the appeal.

But G-Raver and all those "hardcore" fucktards deserve whatever injuries occur to them, up to and including bleeding out in the middle of the ring in front of 15 people who only get let out of their state home once a week for an hour of supervised "outside time".

Do stupid shit- do dangerous shit and stupid and dangerous shit happens to you. Corny just calls 'em like he sees them.

If you got drunk and drove your car down a one-way street and got into a fiery car crash, burned yourself over 90% of your body, broke bones, and lost the use of your penis and spleen, even though its a tragedy, its still your fault. You're still a fucking idiot.

    Don't be a fucking idiot.

Hardcore deathmatch retard wrestling is like giving the dumbest kid in school a pair of scissors and then telling him to go run track. Everybody knows what's going to happen.

Corny called the guy an idiot for being an idiot. And then he called the guy out for misappropriating his likeness to make money. Fuck "G-Raver". Go back to the 7-11 counter, sell me some cigarettes and a Slushie and leave the wrestling to the wrestlers and not the idiots who want to carve themselves up like sad emo teens.

I'm surprised all the wrestling SJW's haven't come to bitch Corny out for calling Jordynne Grace a "butterface", yet.

Corny's beef with Kevin Owens was, at the time, because Corny didn't think that Owens had what it took to be a "major" star in TV wrestling. A fat dude in gym shorts and a t-shirt could get over in an armory somewhere, but on a major Sinclair TV-owned network affiliate? Probably not so much.

Really and honestly, Owens has gotten over everywhere in spite of looking like a fat slob that makes pizzas somewhere. He's a great worker, a great talker, and a great asshole heel. Even if he doesn't have a "TV body", that's what makes him work. He just looks like the schlubby asshole who just wants to fist fight people.

To be clear I agree the deathmatch stuff is not necessary and dangerous, My comment was a general comment on how he talks to and about people who oppose him, Whether talent or fans.

He's lost quite a bit of weight even by his own admission. And I assume his attitude could have been moreso butting heads with Cornette in a smaller organization as opposed to trying to be that way in a much much larger corporate wrestling company. And JC knows from working for WWE for 10-15 years that people don't pull that shit and get away with it.

But again...why people go to the KO shit when Cornette had helped put on mega stars is beyond me. So he didn't see KO as the next John Cena...oh well....Is KO a major star in the WWE? Being a draw amd being booked as a top guy doesn't always go hamd in hand.

Random thought, but guys, don't let anyone tell you pro-wrestling is anything but a cyclical entertainment form. Nothing is new and every time we go around the sun, shit gets closer and closer to doing what it did before.

WWE is officially in the same boat that the NWA was in the 80's, but right now. AEW is their modern competition, the first legitimate competition they've had since Crockett and then Turner. And WWE knows it. Promoting NXT: Takeover events against AEW's pay-per-view offerings is just like NWA running Clash of The Champions on free TV against Wrestlemania 4 on closed circuit. We're about to enter another boom period and its kind of crazy to think that the WWE's main roster of RAW and Smackdown! guys are going to be ancillary players (at best) in regards to what's going to be directly counter-programmed against whatever AEW does.

Just a weird thought I had.

Decided to dive into some random Table For 3 episodes on the Network. Watching Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, and Liv Morgan's episode now.

Christ, the beginning was like a dog whistle. Somebody made a joke about "The Muffin Man" and it was like those three were talking at a frequency that only dogs can hear. Luckily, it actually got better from there.

Also funny, apparently Liv Morgan is the female Harley Race. She likes to speed like crazy everywhere, she likes to talk while she's driving and make eye contact, and she's able to get out of traffic tickets just by the sheer sense of making herself seem important.

I love Liv Morgan even if she sounds like she smoked a lorry full of cigs. She can dust venture south with her coloured tongue any time.

Sarah Logan also has the tendency to sound like a female Bomhauer from King of The Hill.

Sarah Logan sounds like the name of a brand of boots for women.

I'm just sad she stopped doing that Princess Mononke look. That was pretty cool, but she only busted it out on the B-shows.

Just saw the Smackdown on Fox (?) advert they are currently running.

Its very good, however I cant help but notice that the majority of the wrestlers featured on it are legends who don't/barely wrestle any more. Austin, Rock, Flair, Taker, Cena and then throw in a couple of new guys at the end of it in passing.

It hyping the legacy of Smackdown! as a major TV show while also saying "And we have these awesome new guys". Its WWE leaning hard on the nostalgia.

I can't blame them. You have to lure in people somehow and if that means nostalgia then bring on nostalgia.

No script. Arn is easily one of the best talkers in the history of the business. The guy looks like he teaches Industrial Tech at a high school, coaches baseball, not a guy who spinebuster's your ass through the ring with ease.

Mohammad Hassan (probably not under that name) just wrestled his first match since 2005 like last year. He’s been retired from wrestling until then.
