So, um, Destination X is a free TV special tonight. Austin Aries vs. Bobby Roode and Chris Sabin cashing in his X Division Title for a shot at Bully Ray's World Title as well as a Tournament for the vacant X Division Title are confirmed. I will be watching, as it should be a good show. I'm intrigued that they brought up Sabin/Ray's MCMG/3D history as well. If nothing else, it will be a good night for in ring action and I'll go back to not watching TNA, at best, they'll do a lot of good and hook me again. I've convinced Que-ish to join in, how 'bout it guys?

In TNA's darkest time in company history where it looks as if they may actually fold, why don't we all join together as a community and give them one more chance?

I would have never known TNA was having a special show (or a show at all, really), if it wasn't posted here. They should be advertising a show like this everywhere. And they wonder why ratings are so bad.

Wait, I thought they had actually made Destination X one of their 4 PPVs and that we were just watching a random Impact. They're seriously putting their most interesting show of the year on free tv?

I had no clue that they were doing this until just now. I'd love to watch (really) but can't tonight.

    Poor TNA.

1 - My mother in law is banned internationally from playing poker, as she keeps all the chips on her shoulder!

    2 -
Q: How do you stop your mother in law from drowning?

A: Take your foot off her head.

    3 -
I bought my mother in law a chair for Christmas, but she wouldn't plug it in.

    4 -
Q: What are the two worst things about your mother in law?

    A: Her faces.

    5 -
We were having tea with my mother in law the other day and she stated, "i'd like to be cremated". I said, "Alright get your coat!"

Trent? is one of those guys that i wish WWE gave more of a chance to, but I also realize that he was a lazy fucking kid at the time and probably worth no money to them. So...yeah.

Yeah, I'm actually curious as to how he was particularly lazy, too. I thought he worked his ass off when given the chance.

He admits it. He was literally like 18 or 19 when he got signed and highly irresponsible. Dude started wrestling training at like 14, which is why he's got skills, but he's also very young and still maturing.

I don't mean lazy in the ring, but he had a slackers attitude. He was just too young and not ready. I'd love for him to get another shot in a couple of years, after he's had to work the bottom shows and scrape by.

Ok, that makes sense. I haven't heard any of his post-WWE interviews or anything like that, so I was just curious where the source was coming from. Coming from the man himself, that says a lot.

Well that was great on a number of levels. Teddy fishing, "it's cocoa butter, it's for the cameras", "hey john it's ron simmons and gerald brisco riding a tandem bike!", "polkadots!", Khali singing the Eye of the Tiger. Jesus.

Continued on with my watching of old WWF PPVs. Survivor Series 1990 is actually quite good up until the Sgt Slaughter match. Then you have that. The hatching of the Gooker. And the Grand Finale Match which was not a good concept that they thankfully never did again. Basically the first two and some change hours are quite good and the last 45 minutes not so much.

Whats the grand finale match, where all the winners of the others go into another match cause I think the concept is great but only if there is something on the line.

Yeah, but they segregated the heels and the faces so it ended up 5 on 3 and two of those three were Hogan and Warrior on their second match of the night so it only goes like 8 minutes.

The big rumor at the time was it was going to be Flair. Why they thought Hector Guerrero in a Turkey Costume was going to get over I have no idea or what their plans were.

Have three 5 on 5 matches, with all Survivors going through to the final match:

Split the teams "randomly" evenly for the final - it is a work after all.

The minute one team is eliminated on the final, it becomes every man for himself for the survivors on the other team: be it a triple threat or a 4 way, they fight it out, elimination rules, until we have a winner

Everyone, if you don't watch NXT, at least watch this match (it's freeview). Emma vs. Paige, NXT Women's Title Finals. http://www.hulu.com/watch/514631?from=t

I know that PPV word for word as it was one of the first shows I ever recorded. I actually think the Slaughter match told a great story though. Slaughters team was crap and got destroyed and then Slaughter who is getting prepped for a run at the title methodically mows though the whole of the Alliance. God knows why Adnan comes in at the end but oh well.

I thought Piper was great on this show too.

Just read that apparently Corey Graves and Paige are dating as well as Brad Maddox and AJ Lee... go on lads!

EDIT: Seeing now somewhere that Brad is married... sooo, that other report could be wrong.

By the way, have you guys been following this Biogenesis scandal in baseball? Because it seems like there's a bunch more info about to be released about people from all kinds of sports. I haven't heard about any wrestlers being tied to it yet, but if you recall the last time this sort of thing happened we wound up having half the roster suspended in one go.

i don't watch American sports due to the shitty coverage over in the UK but I've been following for boxing and Gamboa has been ousted and it looks like a few more. According to people I've talked to theres a lot of big name stars on there but never heard wrestling being brought up yet. Maybes they will wait till last as sports stars will take most of the flak.

If you are interesting in playing a Create Your Own Wrestling Territory game, head over to the Board Games Forum and sign up. A lot of posters have great fantasy booking ideas, and I'd love to see some posters not usually in the Board Games to participate.

So, no one seems to be discussing this, but former WWE developmental wrestler DT Porter apparently stabbed and killed his girlfriend. Anyone familiar with him? I was never into FCW, so I have no clue who he is.

Finished watching Wrestlemania 7. I remembered it as a one match show, Savage/Warrior obviously. But The Rockers vs Barbarian/Haku and the IC Title match are both really good too. Main event was the drizzling shits but what can you do.

Yeah, if it wasn't for wrestlemania 9 this would be the worst wrestlemania ever IMHO

Florida indie show last night. Most of it was SO BAD... that it was good. Fun to laugh at. A couple actually good matches. I got video of Colt Cabana's entire match in 4 parts, maybe a minute missing in between each part. As well as video of Jesse Neal powerbombing Sam Shaw off a stage onto a table right in front of me. I'll post those videos, but only if you guys express interest. A LOT of brawling in the crowd on this show. It got tiresome, really. Cabana had the best match, as would be expected.

BEST PIC EVER. With The Headbangers, Mosh & Thrasher.

Ok, another conteder for best pic ever. With Too Cold Scorpio... holding a kids' toy ECW belt. Awesome.

    Scorpio Moonsault

I'd say Wrestlemania 6 overall was worse than Wrestlemania 7. Though the main event of Wrestlemania 7 is not only bad, but the commentary pushing the USA stuff, the Gulf War had already ended, was grating as hell.

I tried watching the Coliseum Video version of Wrestlemania 2, but it not only cuts out entrances it also cuts the announcements of what exactly the finishes are so I just cut my losses and stopped watching that one.

You've got me confused here. The IC Title match is the main event of Wrestlemania 6.

I said it before in this thread, and I'll say it again: WrestleMania VI IS the worst. The only match worth a damn is the main event, and that's kind of sad.

Saw this and was pissed for a moment that Total Elimination didn't make the list, until I realized it made Number Fuckin' 2! Holy shit, I didn't expect that much recognition of the move, and I can agree with it's placement. It's arguably my favorite Tag Team move of all time.

I also hope this means we're going to see more of a focus on Tag Team Finisher's going forward.

Where you staying at, BBF? We're at the City Stop apartments, opposite the Printworks. We're only about twelve miles down the road, but we're all off work on the Tuesday and there's no way I'm going out round Manchester afterwards dressed as Heath Slater - a change of clothes will be needed.

Honestly have no idea at the moment. She's sorted it all out. All I know is I'm going to RAW. No idea what block or anything. She could be playing a horrible trick on me thinking about it.

Just googled those apartments and they look pretty slick. Gonna try and convince her thats the way to go if she hasn't booked already. Same price as a hotel which is nice.

I can not recommend the MacDonald hotel highly enough. Always seems to be a decent price too. If not the Atrium Bridgestreet apartments are rather nice too.

Just had a look at them all and the MacDonald spa could be a good idea in terms of getting her something too...

    Thanks for the shouts MMH.

I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel, to be honest. I've never been a fan of them. Apartments tend to cost a little bit more, but they're worth it. The bonus with this one, like you said, is that it costs the same as a hotel.

I've stayed in the Atrium before, they are indeed really nice apartments, but they are on the other side of Manchester from the MEN Arena, a little over a mile away or so. Not much, I know, but what swung it for me is that the City Stop is literally round the corner.
