So excited for the draft. Been running mock drafts and have one last minute thing. I noticed we have it set at the standard 60 seconds per pick and, while that's great to keep things moving, it could make it a bit too rushed for some. Either way, I'm fine, but have been finding myself searching players and hearing the countdown buzzer quite a bit in the mid-to-late rounds.

every 3 weeks you have to trade someone or can make a free agent signing after dropping one of your 4 horsemen
Alright, I actually got to head home early, so I'm all set up for this. I have two wildly different strategies for this thing, and it'll go down to the wire before I figure out which one to use.

Absolutely LOVE my team, though C.J. Wilson really stands out in that pitching staff. The J thing turned into a shear compulsion for me. I toyed with it in mock drafts but decided to do it when Fro got my lovely Justin. At the end, I legit could not take Tim Hudson over the injured Jarrod Parker.
This may have been our best drafts and the most fun for me. We know each other so well and who we all like by now that it really felt like the troll draft. I had no clue Hitty was 9 until it started, but I'd been running mock drafts for weeks now and ALWAYS taking Braun at 11. Then we all seemed to be diving on guys that we know others liked just before them. It was fantastic. When I didn't take Justin at 31 I had this pit in my stomach moment where I knew Hitty would take him in front of me should he last to there and, honestly, that would have been fantastic. So much fun.
Absolutely love my offense. So glad to get Kinsler, as I think he'll have a huge year for runs and it avoided me having a giant hole at second yet again. At one point, I spent all 90 seconds debating Cueto vs Granderson in my head. Torn said he was sure I was going to take Grandy (as I love him and would gladly have a sex change to have his children), but I just couldn't as my offense had no opening for him at all. If Bautista and Pujols stay healthy, oh man...
Be forewarned, Fro, I will offer for Justin at some point. I'll hold off as long as I can, but it will happen. I won't be able to help it. And the early offers will almost surely be terrible. And they'll borderline spam you, but I won't realize it. Just giving fair warning there and I'm sorry for when it happens.

My main problem with my team is it's a walking hospital ward waiting to happen. So many guys with a injury history, I mean I'm hoping for miracles for my team to be healthy all season. However, it's a decent team albeit with not a lot of power (thanks Torn) and not a lot of SV guys but you can always pick those guys up. I also don't like don't like having to many guys from the same team so that is something I'll need to rectify.

Yeah, Pujols is why I want to wait. If he's back at all, he could be huge with Trout scoring runs in front of him. If so, that not only makes him more valuable but opens up who I'd be willing to offer.
Crazy thing about Albert is, even if he only produces on a rate like last year but stays healthy (he'll surely be DHed a fair amount), he could easily drive in 100+ while only being around .260.

It's meant to avoid rampant dumping by crazies like PMBR by protecting some of the best players from being dropped. Generally y his corresponds to Draft position.
So I'm bleeding out my arse and probably dying as well as loads other real life shite going on, my apologies for not being very active.
That said, I honestly don't know how I'm 37-29 in the VIP league. Usually I like to moan about how unlucky I've been but not this year, nothing has clicked yet, somehow though I'm seem to be scraping by. Two things is either going to happen I'm either going to go on a monster run because all my players realise who they actually are and play up to there abilities, or, I'm going to continue to slide down the league and into obscurity. Santana is hitting .153 for fucks sake, David Wright has two fricking homers, my pitching staff is bluerghhh and the RP has not been good either. Whilst I've not been hit with to many long term injuries I do seem to have a constant DTD situation with many players (particulary pitchers).
Ah well the boards game league I think I have a good team, even with Harper being out so at least I've got that team.

We spent so much time not knowing how to balance it (I do rank Braun a fair bit higher than Max), but anything else just threw it off. When you offered straight up this time, I was totally down for it. I drafted and amassed so much offense that it would have been foolish on either side to not get something done.
Same thing with the Murphy trade with Cewsh. Murphy is off to a fantastic start and was brilliant last year. He goes unnoticed because he's on the current Mets, but he's a top producer at second, but I was never able to start him with the build of my team. The trade gave me the option of sticking someone else at third while Machado figures it out. I've come to love multiposition eligibility. It can make me jump on trades.
The Verlander trade is one that Fro may well come out ahead on. CJ's extremely consistent and Prado is due to break out. Justin obviously overshadows them in it, but Zimmerman is a major question mark and if he misses the bulk of the year, this could help Fro tremendously.
In keeping with the trend when others draft Justin, his first start after I trade for him is atrocious.
You're in 1st so you can afford to wait on Zimmerman. If he comes back solid by the All Star break it'll be a good trade for you. He's better than Prado when healthy.
I really just wanted Papelbon though.

Manny was an odd position for me. I like him (antics aside), but I've been looking to move him and it's hard to gauge his value for me. With Carpenter and Zimmerman, he wasn't going to crack my lineup without an injury and would just go wasted on my team. I think he'll finish strong.
Definitely should have raised the start limit up a few games.
