Since we're talkin about replacing vocalists...

I like R.O.C. and Skrapz as a duo more than I like him with Twiztid as a trio.

Difference between Sublime and AIC is Rome doesn't hold a candle to Bradley. New AIC is different, and will never be as bone-chillingly amazing as it was with Layne, but it's at least still good in it's own different way.

Well I mean it seems like the real difference is that Sublime was Brad's band. Layne was an amazing singer but AIC was Jerry's band.

I can respect that argument. Strongly disagree because nothing ROC and Skrapz ever did came close to the masterpieces that are Season of the Pumpkin and Head Trauma. But I knew some cats in Detroit when I lived there who liked ROC and Skrapz, moreso when they became Halfbreed, because they were more lyrical than the HOK stuff. Which makes sense, HOK was shit they were doing in their teens.

I think the other difference is that there was never really a big push for Sublime's resurrection so to speak. We were fine with the 2-3 songs the radio still churns out 200 times a day. Rome sounds exactly like Brad Nowell, and I was never big into Sublime so I have no clue if Nowell was super talented or not beyond the limited times I listened to their 2 albums. Just not a fan of that kind of music.

I'd love to hear him on any Mostasteless songs, OG or re-release. I'm sure you've heard the verse he did for Murder, Murder, Murder that got cut. He kills this too.

Cases where the replacement singer improved the band.

    Iron Maiden for one.

I didn't even know Chucky Chuck still rapped.

I'm not a big fan of Danny Diablo, but this is fresh.

Yeah I'm not high on Danny Diablo either, something about that "I used to be into hardcore now I rap" vibe he has doesn't work, for me at least.

There was a song they dropped off this album that I thought was total garbage but it wasn't this one. This song is dope.

I honestly haven't been really into their music is so fucking long, dude we're talking Milenko for my old ass when I really really dug it hardcore. Pretty impressed with this song so who knows, I might snatch up the album when it drops in a few days.

The one thing that sucks though is they are only doing digital releases these days. They always had the freshest booklets.

They still do physical releases. The reason Psychopathic Merch looks empty is because they had a massive sale. Then they sold what was left at Big Ballas last year. They were selling stuff by the box. There is a code in the booklet of Fearless Fred Fury that you can use on the site to get the Flip The Rat CD sent to you. They will also be sold as a bundle at independent stores.

After reading this I think that they had just talked about going strictly digital. Then I also remembered Esham said that starting with Scribble he wasn't doing any more physical copies so maybe that's where my confusion happened.

She was pretty good on SNL the other week.

Her acting I mean. I skipped over the musical numbers.

Agreed, she was a surprisingly strong actor. If you told me she was just a new cast member rather than a host I'd have believed you. Granted the cast is not great.

Eastside is a good song. The painting thing was cheesy but kinda cool.

She seems like a very artistically talented person all around.

I heard her read a poem at a rally. It was really good.

37 years old and not really a pop music fan since I was a young kid. But this girl has won me over. I seek out her joint "Without Me" and it made me appreciate some of the stuff prior. I'll admit, not a big big fan of her voice but it works well with the instrumentals she uses.
