It should be illegal to re-sell tickets. Like, if you bought tickets, and then found out you can't make it, you should be able to sell it back to the place you bought it from. But to buy a ticket and sell it for ten times what you bought it is just awful.

Companies that buy up a ton of tickets for the purpose of re-sale shouldn't be permitted to operate. That should be illegal.

But for an individual buyer it gets tricky. On the other side of the spectrum, if you buy a ticket for $100 and the show never sells out, and you get sick or whatever, you might have to sell it for $50 because no one will pay you $100 including the company you bought it from. So you take the loss and maybe you have to sell it privately because the company won't take it back because they don't offer that feature. But if the show sells out you can't sell it privately for a gain? Idk, I'd have to think on that.

I mean there was probably an oldie like Paul McCartney or someone who went on tour and it was similarly nuts in terms of demand. But I'd be curious to see the re-sale values of Taylor in the context of other major tours. I feel like this tour could break revenue records.
I don't know the answer either, but maybe Elton John's farewell tour? Or the Rolling Stones? They easily sold out some huge venues.

Ticketmaster just cancelled the public ticket offering for the Taylor tour (non-pre-sale) because demand is too high and inventory is too low. Eh it's probably not really that interesting of a story but I keep seeing all this stuff on my twitter feed. Feels like she could double her tour stops and still sell them all out in a minute. Kinda crazy, Taylor fans now hate Ticketmaster but idk that it's their fault that 15 million people want these tickets.

Swifties are not blaming Ticketmaster for the high demand, but they are finding fault in Ticketmaster for not anticipating it. Ticketmaster knew how many pre-sale codes they had issued - again they were the ones who issued them, but they were not set up to handle anywhere close to that volume. 14 Million users tried to get tickets when they allocated 1.5 million for them. That's poor planning on Ticketmaster's end.

I think the original version of this song without Nicki is better. Her feature is kind of annoying. But the video is hot.

Listened to this 8 times in the past month, well 9 as I'm listening to it currently. Makes me happy and smile.

I really only know this album, Surrender, Block Rockin' Beats, and Galvanize though from the Chemical Brothers. I should check out their other albums.

Recently rediscovered former Blossom co-star Joey Lawrence's self-titled debut album from 1993. I used to have it on cassette when I was about 10 years old and was pretty obsessed for a bit. Been spinning it pretty often the past few weeks and I gotta say, it's fun and catchy and corny and I fucking love it.

How can anyone say Coldplay is bad. I've been listening to Music of the Spheres on repeat today. Just phenomenal.

    Can’t stand Coldplay.

Pretty pumped to get tickets to see one of my favorites next weekend, Bleachers. Not usually my kind of music but I love them.

I've never listened to Bleachers, just because the name Jack Antonoff pisses me off.

The only Outkast song that I've heard that I like is Ms. Jackson.

Hey Ya!, The Way You Move, Roses, those 3 songs make me so angry just thinking about them, it's surprising they haven't made me hate Ms. Jackson but I still like that one.

lol It's a shame that's all you've heard is the stuff you heard on pop radio with Britney Spears. If you didn't like the song I posted there's no hope of turning you as a fan. Their first 2 albums are legendary. The stuff you're mentioning is when I kind of dipped out of them it was getting way too commercial.

My friend got me Speakerboxx/The Love Below for Christmas when it came out and I was recovering from eye surgery. I let my brother borrow the CD and never got it back. I'm only really familiar with Outkast's radio singles and shit otherwise but I've always liked them and should really check out more of their stuff. Problem is I mostly listen to music at work and can't play anything explicit so I don't have much opportunity to do it.

    ---

Two things I've been listening to on the regular right now are the new Billie Eilish album (Hit Me Hard and Soft) and a Third Eye Blind EP from 2016 (We Are Drugs) that I kind of overlooked at the time and have rediscovered and now really love it.

Man, Third Eye Blind’s first album was so, so good. So many bangers on that disc. I remember cruising around in my first car and just playing it out.

I’ll have to check out that EP.

They're quite possibly my favorite band (legit listening to them as I type this lolz). I highly recommend checking out the rest of their catalogue if you never got past the first album.

Oh yeah I’ve heard most of their stuff. They’re that band I “rediscover” every few years and get super into.

Went to a Bleachers show last weekend. Best concert I’ve ever been to. The venue was incredible, the band was tight, the crowd was awesome, weather was perfect, nothing bad to say at all. They played all my favorite songs, and made me really like some of their new ones. Just an amazing night.

Unless you were seated on bleachers, was it really that good?

What five songs would you recommend to a Bleachers newbie?

It was tough, but here’s my top five:

    5 - ‘91
The live version is the best because the crowd is so loud at a certain part

    4 - Wild Heart

    3 - Chinatown
Again, the live version is amazing because it has Bruce Springsteen on it

    2 - Isimo

    1 - I Wanna Get Better
Just an incredible song. Hell of a hook, very catchy. Again, any live version you can find on YouTube as part of a concert is so high energy and the crowd always goes nuts for it.

Lately I've really been getting into blues and jazz and stuff like that...so, folks like Ray Charles, BB King, Muddy Waters, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, etc. I've also recently really gotten into a couple English electronic/hiphop groups, Lo Fidelity Allstars and Stereo MCs.

I really like the song Battle Flag by Lo Fidelity All stars, but sadly don't know anything else by them.

That's why/how I got into them. I only knew that song and fucking love it. It's actually a remix of a Pigeonhed song who I also got into because of it, too.

Supporting the locals stopped by Ratt's Underground on Saturday and grabbed 3 Cd's: Cypress Hill "Black Sunday" Prince "Diamonds and Pearls" and the soundtrack to The Cable Guy. My 14 year old daughter bought the Twilight soundtrack which I was shocked it had some really good songs on there. I have the Cable Guy soundtrack spinning for a second time. The 90's were nothing but banger soundtracks.
