Waco was a pretty entertaining watch. Good acting, storytelling, and gut-wrenching stuff at the end. A solid cautionary tale for both sides of the discussion.

Upload was really fun. Space Force is good damn it. All the bad reviews had me thinking I should skip it but three episodes in and I'm enjoying it. It has a dark sense of humor and heart.

Watched Da 5 Bloods last night. I really loved it. Spike Lee can be super hit or miss for me, so I wasn't going in with any sort of expectations. I was blown away. Delroy Lindo especially was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Just to give you a heads up the Bennets/Givens feud in season 2 Is just tremendous tv. Ups and downs, twists and turns, pretty much everything you'd ever want.

Then season 3 introduces Neil McDonough.

"Say Her Name:The Life and Death of Sandra Bland"(on Crave) was heartbreaking and upsetting. I remember when her death happened, still no justice.

I know I'm probably only feeling this because it's the first show that I truly loved that has had it happen to, but Netflix and Hulu have removed the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons episode because of blackface. Blackface where Chang is dressed up as a Drow Elf and it's brought up how that's still a bad thing. Oh and also that episode talks about depression and suicide.

I don't think TV shows, episodes, and movies should be removed from any place. What they should do is put up a message before each episode or movie, explaining that there is offensive content in the program, and explain why it's not ok.

I think it really should be up to the viewer to decide, and for kids, the parents. If you're going to remove things because they are offensive, there's going to be a hell of a lot things gone.

Just finished watching Hamilton on Disney+. Wow. What an astounding achievement in art. I was hooked from the opening number. I wish I’d been able to see it on Broadway.

I loved seeing it again in HD. I was lucky enough to see it on Broadway last year and had been looking forward to seeing a good quality version of it with the original cast.

I attempted episode one of "The Floor of Lava", it was awful. Now watching "The Good Place"

Even though this isn't really streaming, the following was great background listen while I work from home. Hamilton Act 1, as performed by Muppets.

Gonna watch the new Hulu movie "Palm Springs" tonight. Looks like a similar premise as Groundhog Day, except multiple people are experiencing the phenomenon together. I'm not a huge fan of Andy Samberg, but the trailer for this one had me interested.

Had intended to try that show awhile back but the, erm, totally legal site I'd use wasn't working properly. Will hopefully get to it eventually.

On another note, wife and I have cracked into the new She-Ra on Netflix. It's absolutely delightful.

Finished watching Hollywood on Netflix. It was ok in a kind of alternate reality sort of way. Not necessarily my cup of tea which is probably why I don’t think it was overly good. I suppose if you like Ryan Murphy you’d probably enjoy it more than I did. It was just interesting enough to keep me watching for the seven episodes.

I enjoyed Hollywood but hated the last episode. I don’t know if they wrapped it up like they did because they don’t know if they want to do a 2nd season but it just felt out of sync with the rest of the series to me at least.

    Loved it

Would have loved it more if we had gotten a little more of his backstory because it made his journey feel a little weak.

But Groundhog Day is ALWAYS a good plot.

Waited until the first season of "Snowpiercer" was wrapped up before I started binging it. Its a Hell of a premise, its violent, its bloody, its adult, Jennifer Connelly is a unit -- its like "Bioshock" on a train. But, to be honest, I was hoping for a little more out of than a
the first season doesn't focus as much on the lower class travelers organizing and rising up against the evil, rich cunts in charge as I'd hoped. Instead, its a lot more focused on solving a murder and the fallout of the trial and verdict.

Its fun stuff. But its basically "Law And Order: The Orient Express", but with filthy hobos out of a Dickens novel plotting to kill the kind of people who jerk off to Fox News when another black person gets killed.

    Its edgy TV fluff.

On the last episode of "Snowpiercer" now.

Loved that Jennifer Connely's character becomes one of the

And I'll be damned, but I didn't expect the

But yeah, it looks like my initial reaction was a little off. There is a lot of "Law And Order: Special Train Unit" sort of stuff in the first few episodes, but they build the "revolution" plot in the background. Once the violence and fighting kicks off, its pretty cathartic. You see our main character get kicked around and treated like rotten ass, so its cool to see him -- literally -- get to cut bloody swaths through the bad guys.

This one gets a full recommend from me. It starts slow, but it ends in a lot of fun. Well... maybe not "fun". Its a bit of a depressing show, really. But excitement.

I finally got into Parks and Rec. I am a huge fan of the Office so I figured I would like this. It's a very funny show. Not as good as the office. I don't think I could go back and watch episodes multiple times like I can with the Office. I am on episode 5 season 5 now. definitely an easy show to binge.

I like the writing on The Office better, but I like the characters on Parks & Rec infinitely more. Give me Ron Swanson and Andy Dwyer over any two characters from The Office any day of the week.

I can agree with that. You can throw Tom Haverford in there as well.

And, even though he’s not on often, Jean-Ralphio is a scene stealer.

A close friend of mine who's opinion I do actually value when it comes to Netflix turned me on to "Down to Earth" with Zac Efron. Pretty cool show, especially for fans of the Travel channel. Just started episode 1 and so far so good. I'm all about shows dealing with the environment and how different parts of the world handle the issues we currently face. Only 8 episodes so it won't take long to bang these out if you have the time.

I'm also just finishing up season 1 of Hanna on Amazon Prime. AWESOME.

Just finished a rewatch of New Girl. So underrated. Jake Johnson and Max Greenfield are perfect together.

Intervention is finally on Netflix, just one season. I hope they add more. I used to watch it on Youtube back in the day.

I loved The Office, maybe I should try New Girl?

Intervention is a fun show to watch when there's nothing else on.

No matter what I do wrong in my life, at least I'm not some fiending crackhead. Its a bit of a pick-me-up.

I'll add New Girl to my list.

Intervention is heartbreaking, I love when they show them months after rehab and they are a whole new person.

Finished Letterkenny a few weeks ago. Really enjoyed it.

Don't know if any of you have checked out "The Great" but it's a fun watch. Have one episode left to watch.

I'm halfway through The Righteous Gemstones (HBO). It's really good. I'll wait until I finish the season to post my thoughts but so far I like it more than Vice Principals.

It’s my favourite show, by far; Letterkenny and Seinfeld are the only two shows that I can watch repeatedly. I have done Letterkenny start-to-finish probably 10 times, whenever I’m in need of a pick-me-up that theme music instantly brings a smile to my face. My latest enjoyment is trying to determine which cast member is trying (and failing) to keep their shit together, Tanis and Dan are the most common culprits.

Just finished season five of “The Shield”, an emotional asskicking that starts at the end of season two and continually builds through the series finale...

Yea The Shield is so intense and the pressure just keeps building and building and building. I want to give that a re-watch at some point in the near future.

The Shield really was a good few years ahead of the "police are the real bad guys" narrative every millennial with purple hair on Twitter wants to spout off now.

It really was ahead of its time.

I'm going to have to try that. Dan, for my money, has the best subtle facial expressions. Love the look he gives Daryl when Daryl rips open the wrapping paper for his christmas present

    Forest Whitaker was outstanding.

It’s mind boggling to believe that in any other series Forest’s character would have been the good guy, but instead we were hating him and hoping Lemansky could somehow find a way out of his predicament.

Almost finished with Cursed. It's really good for British tv. It wants to be The Witcher really bad but it's such a hurry it misses a lot of little details that could make the show really good. Instead it's just something to watch really.

My wife and I just finished Doom Patrol season 2 also on HBO Max and really enjoyed it. I think it added on the first season well while still being fresh with a bunch of crazy storylines that somehow avoided feeling like monster of the week. I really hope it gets a season 3.

Before that we finished the Umberella Academy season 2 on Netflix and I think I enjoyed season 2 more than season 1. That was probably because it had the benefit of not having to do a ton of exposition around the characters and could just jump straight into the story. With the exception of the Wicked Game cover which I'm not a fan of, it has a great soundtrack of covers going for it also. I feel like the announcement of a season 3 renewal is inevitable.

Now we're both highly looking forward to The Boys season 2 in early September to finish out this superhero trifecta. I feel a little more at ease about that shows future compared to the last two because Amazon Prime has already granted a season 3 and season 2 hasn't even aired yet.

I'm not sure what to watch while waiting for that to air. I've thought about rewatching The Sopranos since I'm working from home but I haven't pulled the trigger yet (no pun intended. ) I just find it easier in general to watch/rewatch comedies.

That's not very racist of you, DVDA.

Did you make it past season 1? Characters change for the better in season 2.

Maybe I'll re-watch Community. 5 years since I really stopped posting but I still love Gambino.

I watched The Children of Time Square last week on Amazon Prime, and that shit is hella cool. It's from the 80's, and the dude that plays Lamar in Revenge of The Nerds is one of the stars.

I'll Be Gone In The Dark was incredible. The whole Golden Killer story was horrifying and mesmerizing. Seeing Michelle dedicated to catching the killer, to see the justice, to know of her death...heartbreaking and satisfying at the same time.

Began Band of Brothers. I already like it a lot.

Halfway through the final season of The Shield, it feels like I’m getting an ulcer with all the balls Mackey is juggling. A credit to the creator Shawn Ryan and his writing staff, making me so emotionally invested in hoping this dirty cop gets off clean.

Looks like season 4 isn't hitting Netflix, as it will be on the new Peacock streaming service

Still a chance for Melly in Canada though as streaming rights get a bit different here since we won't get Peacock.

I finished up Avatar: The Last Airbender. Maybe the greatest animated show of all time.

I will probably start up Legend of Korra soon too.

It was in the what's coming to Netflix in September video that came out yesterday.

The 26th. That's for US Netflix though.

At one point you were able to sign up for the NBC streaming service and get to watch one particular show for free with your sign up. That's what I used to watch the good place season 4 as it aired. Dont know if you still can or how ot works from country to country though.

Shoot. Well I'd find it some other way if needed.

Some websites say it's coming to Netflix Canada too so I guess you'll just have to wait and see.

I just started watching the MMA show on Netflix called "KINGDOM" There's like 2 other shows with the same name lol.

Great show so far and I'm only 4 episodes in.

I just wrapped up Season 10 of Shameless. Great season, haven't been let down yet.

I'm also trying to finish season 2 of Umbrella Academy on Netflix and Season 2 of Hannah on Prime. Nothing really going on with Hulu, I usually just watch WWE and old TGIF shows like Family Matters and Step by Step these days.

I ended up pretty pleased with Umbrella academy. Next season looks like it will be pretty action packed.

Yeah I preferred season 2 of Umbrella Academy. Still had its flaws, but I enjoyed it more. Looking forward to next season as well, whenever that may end up being.

Shameless nailed season 10. Had it’s funny moments, its poignant moments, and its heartbreaking moments. I thought the finale was very well done. Season 11 should start filming soon and that’s the final season. My favorite hour long drama by far.

You know what I noticed? They should have gotten rid of Fiona about 5 seasons ago lol. I don't see how anyone could watch that show and root for her lol. The rest of the cast cruised passed her long ago. Even Liam is 100x more interesting and what the fuck did he do for 8 seasons but sit at the table and eat breakfast ? Lol
