Speaking of I am still pissed all that surfaced of that Aichi show last December was the really great Tanahashi vs Naito match. I really want to see that Apollo 55 vs Motor City Machine Guns match.

I just rewatched when Sabu and Kanemoto traded the IWGP Jr Title back and forth. Sabu semi main eventing Budokan Hall and working a stadium show is really weird.
I just watched New Japan's Sendai show. Here are some thoughts
Goto vs Naito was great. And really the way Goto was working was foreshadowing his heel turn. There was an ultra aggressiveness there. And Naito is just amazing as long as the guy he's working with isn't an addict who doesn't give a shit.
IWGP Tag Titles was really really good. Strongman and Nakanishi going 20 scared me, but they pulled it off. Hell Strongman got hurt and kept going. Plus Karl Anderson trying to beat up the guy from Tokyo Sports was great.
IWGP Title this was what you'd expect a great match. Kojima looks revitalized by coming back to New Japan and Tanahashi is great.
IWGP Jr Title I was really disappointed by this one. Seemed like it never got out of first gear.
I have watched the Elimination Match twice. Still don't know how Tenzan got eliminated.
What was the Jr. title match again? It wasn't KUSHIDA was it?

Also, did anyone grab your attention the most? If so, I can recommend some of the best of that wrestler if you'd like. 2010 was a pretty great year for Jr. wrestling in my opinion and the likes of Devitt, Marufuji, Ibushi, KENTA and so forth had lots of really good matches.
Watch Tanahashi and Marufuji.
Everyone else is a pleasant bonus.
Personally, I am a fan of the NJPW stuff from the early 90's. There was some good stuff back then. I haven't kept up very well recently, but if you are just interested in puroresu in general, the Super J Cups and G1 Climax 1995 are well worth the look.
New Japan's Junior Heavyweight division in the early/mid-90's is one of the greatest eras in wrestling ever. There is an obscene amount of quality from that period. If Delta Devil is enjoying the juniors matches of 2011, he should absolutely watch as much as possible from 89-96 New Japan

Though I think NOAH's Jr. division from the early 00s is often overlooked in comparison. it isn't nearly as good as that was, but it was some really inventive shit with two rising superstars.
Let's not forget Michinoku Pro in the 90's and Toryumon/Dragon Gate/El Dorado/Lucharesuniverse when they were still the FUTURE of wrestling!
Super J Cup 1994 is by far my favorite tournament I have ever seen. Even if it was won by he who must not be named. It was the first show that was reccommended to me when I wanted to start watching puro.

Watching the 39th Anniversary show now. MVP/Anderson is well worth your time. Crowd enjoyed it and oooooooohed when Anderson kicks out of the Playmaker. Good match. Cewsh should also watch the 6-man tag for KUSHIDA picking up the fall and the awesome Gedo/Jado shenanigans at the beginning.
Also Taichi & TAKA are amazing.

Only thing I didn't like was MVP unfortunately. He sticks out so much in the worst way. He just sucks.
Watched most of the show with Vice last night. KUSHIDA/Devitt was awesome, even though KUSHIDA was the teensiest bit botchy, and Nakamura is so fucking great right now. Everything else was pretty dull though.
Yeah, not a particularly good show. The New Beginning was much better, as was 3/6. Definitely watch the former if you haven't already. Can't wait until the finals and New Dimension surface.

From everything I've heard recently about New Japan, as well as their brief stint with TNA; I've always wanted to investigate, but it's a bit daunting. Where's a good place to start? You may have noticed that the main event of today’s New Japan event ended in a ref stoppage, and now thanks to Daily Sports I now know why-the reason was an injury suffered by Manabu Nakanishi. Neck. According to my translation, it’s a serious injury. Here’s what happened: About 10 minutes into the match Nakanishi was apparently attempting a German suplex hold, presumably on Wataru Inoue, but something went wrong during the move and Nakanishi fell and suffered a serious neck injury. He suffered some cervical vertebra damage and also reportedly had numbness in one hand, but that may be gone now and fortunately it doesn’t appear to be as serious as it could have been. But either way it sounds like he could be out a while-neck injuries can take a while to come back from, the last big man like Nakanishi to suffer a neck injury that I know of, NOAH star Takeshi Rikioh, is still out after about 1 year (he’s making event appearances and looks well but hasn’t returned to the ring). We’ll see what happens here, hopefully it’s not worst-case.

New Japan held its annual “CAMP ZAMA CAMPFEST” yesterday at the U.S. military base Camp Zama. Once again it was a huge success with lots of American fans which led to a unique atmosphere such as Naito being the bad guy against King Fale and Honma likewise against Lance Archer. Akebono made a special appearance in the main event while four joshi puroresu legends kicked off the show in an OZ Academy Offer Match.
