The broadcaster just posted a half billion dollar loss. They're cutting with a few hundred redundancies, they're defunding the FFA cup and won't broadcast after next year. They're trying to dump all football to other channels.
Throw in the shambles that is a closed league system, arbitrary salary cap system and the massive focus on money making metrics FOR THE LEAGUE (not the clubs) and the whole thing is a massive shit show right now.
