    Three Ks would be problematic.

So Rick Steiner joined Bron in the ring post match to celebrate and WWE posted video of it on their social media and whatnot. So just acknowledge it on TV already, you cowards.

The 6-man was my match of the night personally. The unification title match opener and the NXT title main event matches were also great. The women’s triple threat was okay but an underwhelming finish (however I did like the different vehicular entrances). I could see what they were doing by having Mandy counter another Jade roll-up but still thought it was flat. When are they going to give Jade an actual finisher?

Too much padding in the middle with the Grayson/AJ and Chase/Wagner segments.

I've checked out NXT 2.0 a few times and it's generally been shit but this was a really good show. Very much the passing of the torch that I thought was going to happen earlier. Hayes & Breakker both get their big wins and look impressive doing so. The 6-man was a lot of fun. It's great to see Walter again. Nice main roster big name involvement from Riddle & Styles. I liked the Pete Dunne promo which did a good job of hyping his match with DeAngelo. Lost a bit of interest during the women's title match which wasn't very good but hey ho.

The steiners own the Steiner name so that’s why they aren’t acknowledging it.

Goodnight, sweet Cruiserweight Championship. You had some promise but you didn’t stand a chance in the new landscape. The X-Plex off the top rope was magical. Hayes is an absolute blue chipper, and Strong is just so damn good in the ring. What a really fun match. All of the seconds on the outside did a really nice job, too. Quite the excellent opener.

It’s kind of wild that Styles so willingly carried the flag for NXT and portrayed himself as a gatekeeper for the brand he was never on.

Fully-formed Imperium, lean and mean, looked great. Nice meshing of Riddle and MSK’s theme. I don’t know if we would’ve gotten this match if Jeff Hardy actually maintained the Shaman role but it all would’ve been interesting to see. The match was all over the place but quite fun. WALTER seemed awfully marginalized to me, after the entrance. Not sure that’s a good move. Something’s gotta give because he’s apparently done in NXT UK, so we’ll see how he’s utilized.

Escobar needs to take a dive next week so he can be rid of Elektra.

So Mandy showed up via helicopter, Raquel arrived via motorcycle, and Cora rolled in via skateboard lol. Seems like the crowd volume went up dramatically for this match (artificially or not). This was fine for what it was. Seems pretty hard to have a bad triple threat match. Hilarious that Cora legit went for the roll-up for the win and that Mandy actually won without help from Toxic Attraction. I wanna see Mandy more in regular matches, without gimmicks, and just see where she’s at as a talent.

Wagner needs a manager so that person can talk for him. Full circle moment for him, being escorted by the security crew he used to work for. That Chase student fanboy is getting a lot of secondary shine.

Cool entrance for Breakker, and McMahon probably loved the fact he could wreck the X for the old NXT logo. Any way he can throw more dirt on Hunter’s brand is going to be given a green light. The standing moonsault looked pretty effortless by Breakker, but that feels like something McMahon will want axed quickly. Very good match with good callbacks to the first match. Pretty notable to see Ciampa tap out. Good use of the recliner, and then the knowing nod and acceptance by Ciampa towards Breakker as he was grabbing the championship was good storytelling. The crowd reactions were placed well at the end, and it helps make Breakker. The guy has the makings of a stud.

Watched the undercard. Aesthetically, looks so much better without the big screens for the audience. And I quite like the colour scheme, white ring canvas etc. Should point out, I haven't been watching NXT since the relaunch.

Loved the opener. Hayes is great and totally the right choice him going over. Not sure what's left for Strong in WWE, really. Love him in the ring, but he's as dull as Kyle O'Reilly. Actually, he's more dull than that.

6 man was decent and I enjoyed the women's match.

Looking forward to Ciampa and Breakker when I finally watch it.

I guess it was a good ruse for Elektra to just mess with Quinn, but that makes this all feel like a somewhat notable waste of time. The win for Escobar seems to help prop him up to match the fact he came out at the end of Breakker’s promo. I’d certainly like to see those two square off and it’d be a good first defense for Breakker.

Bivens scouting during the match with Grimes is something (though it seemed to be for Damon Kemp). Probably more notable was the promo Bivens had for WALTER.

So Gacy and Harland lose and don’t even get into the Dusty Cup tournament because Harland went wild? Sheesh.

Imperium (especially with WALTER) seems overqualified for 2.0, so I hope this is just time to get WALTER acclimated and then call them up to the main roster.

I actually quite enjoyed the Crowbar Match. Dunne had some good selling of his hand before the match even started. He did looked kind of goofy when it came to grabbing it initially. There were some pretty innovative moves or counters with the weapon. Both guys were really good here and I get D’Angelo winning. With no Ciampa on TV this week, Dunne & Ciampa appearing on main roster TV last week, will those two actually get called up?

Wendy Choo’s gimmick probably doesn’t have a very long shelf life in WWE from a wrestling perspective but she definitely can work. She comes off like a poor knockoff version of Orange Cassidy but I don’t think WWE can pull that off.

Did Dakota allude to potentially pairing up with Raquel again for the Dusty Cup? That would be…something. Also, what?

    I’m beyond tired of Boa.

Less wrestling and more talking for Trick Williams and we’ll be alright. Hayes is off the charts with his charisma. Hayes has put up a hell of a run of solid to great matches since he popped on to NXT and it transitioned to 2.0, so it looks like that’ll continue for Grimes. Like Escobar, a very solid initial defense opportunity for the new unified champ.

Main event showed a tale of two pushes and how Styles really helps outline the trajectories for them. Omos has been pushed hard and he looked like crap in a spotlight match with Styles, and that’s incredibly hard to do. Waller had his biggest solo match of his career here and he delivered a solid match with Styles. Props to Styles, too, for the fact he didn’t mail it in and had himself a heck of a match in NXT. I do like that Waller seems to be gaining more confidence in the ring and busted out a well-time baseball slide to the outside into a clothesline. Waller’s evasion of the forearm to the outside, then executing the roll-in cutter was extremely smooth. I’m kind of surprised Styles won here as a cheap Waller win serves well for both.

Fun wrinkle to have Styles reveal Knight’s return. Knight was ready to clobber Waller lol. Hyping his return and the quick beatdown of Waller, after taking a loss, kind of dampens the heat Waller’s built up. In addition, I think this feels like it was a grand return spot that’s been taken off the board. If you only had one bullet in the chamber and it was used on Knight, whatever inkling that Gargano was coming back in the immediate future probably got wiped away.

Breakker's opening promo was fine. Dude is pretty solid on the mic. Escobar as his first challenger would be great. I suspect Ciampa's either main roster bound or going to follow Gargano out of WWE.

Escobar vs. Quinn was decent but didn't feel like it notched up to a second gear. I missed half of their first encounter so I was pretty hyped for this and felt a little underwhelmed. Lopez literally dicking over Quinn was what I was thinking/hoping so it's cool.

Squash match for Grimes was what it was and Grimes going after the NA Title and Melo sounds great. Kemp being scouted by Givens is interesting.

Gacy/Harland going for the Dusty Cup only to be DQ'd and not fussed about it was an odd choice and felt like a bit of a waste of time. Kind of underwhelmed with Harland being in matches so far, dude doesn't really do anything that interesting/impressive. Happy for Blade/Edris as they seem to have potential and are likeable.

Crowbar on a Pole match was a good time. That crowbar shot to the face at the end looked damn good, not sure how it was done safely but way better than when Triple H does his shit "hand over the sledge head" hammer shots. Dunne to the main roster soon, too?

Yo, guys, Wndy Choo's gimmick RULES. I was skeptical going into it, if she was still going to be in her PJs and what not and how it would work...and then the magic happened. I was cracking up. Some brilliant touches. I loved it. Curious if the Briggs/Jensen trying to hook up with the KCs might lead to the KCs revealing they are actually a couple (seeing as they preferred dancing with each other and ignored B&J at the concert previously).

Was surprised to see Kai appear as I figured her match with Rawuel was the bookend of her NXT run and a Rumble/main roster debut was next.

It's a shame Boa's hindered by this silly duality gimmick and not just being a badass warrior like Xia Li was. 'Cuz when him and Solo were just going at it, it was pretty good, and the dude seems to be coming along nicely in the ring. But then the theatrics and the nonsense of then trying to explain it without mentioning Tian Sha/Mei Ying anymore makes it pretty lame.

Strong promo work as usual from Trick and Melo.

Styles/Waller was really good and I honestly wasn't sure how it would end as I could see it going either way. When AJ was introducing his friend, my initial thought was it might be Lumis back from "injury" and avenging Gargano and whatnot, legit forgot about Knight but I still popped 'cuz he rules and I'm here for it.

Agree with you on Boa, mth. There could have been potential but it feels like the guy has just been shoved into a corner and boxed in to this nonsense.

Digging Solo, thought Xyon looked like a bum being fooled by Lopez but one off-week for his character won't kill him.

People who quit on 2.0 after a week or two are missing some decent stuff.

Main event was great, wondering if they decide to push Waller to the main roster. Honestly think a pairing of him with Omos is best for all. Keep Omos on the outside, getting the NXT stars a little taste of main roster/top shows can only help them.

Didn't realize until after that Kemp is Gable's brother (Steveson, not Chad).

Like the Blade/Edris pairing. Blade seems like a better version of Leon Ruff.

beeteedubs all these mofos that have been clamoring for the women To Be SeXy AgAiN should really be watching NXT. Toxic Attraction are a tits and ass parade with very intentional camera shots. Mandy had a straight up shot of her just her butt on Weds. during that photoshoot montage.

Bracket doesn’t bode well for Jacket Time. Face MSK in the first round. Happen to beat them, would likely face LDF in the next round.

The match will no doubt be great but yeah…way too early.

Also rather than brackets, random draw each round would have been way more fun and unpredictable.

Yeah, really not optimistic about my boys Jacket Time's chances...would love to see a few big upsets, though, so maybe there's a chance...?

God I hope not because that would be blah.

Although would still take GYV over Jensen/Briggs.

MSK/Creed Brothers is the way to go here.

Yeah, hard pass on seeing MSK/GYV again. Like I said, hoping for some upsets 'cuz a lot of the established teams in match-ups have been done before. Would be nice for some unexpected surprises and fresh bouts.

I’d love to see Chase/Hayward upset GYV at least. I know he’s comedy but give Chase a win at least.

Chase is money. Chris Nowinski-lite but entertaining.

    Walter's new name is Gunther.

WWE trademarked Gunther Stark who was a military commander for the Nazis.

I think they'll change the last name or just stick with Gunther.

Looks like they wanted to change things up to allow some more fans in the CWC. They also moved the commentary table for whatever reason lol. It all cuts down on the space outside of the action goes out there. Maybe this is their way to enforce that they need to minimize the action on the outside.

LA Knight played the hits for his promo. I’m not really sure why he’s hanging around in NXT because he seems like a guy that would be able to get over on the main roster if he was given a legit chance. I guess they may see him as too small? Waller/Lumis was fine. Veer has been taking forever to get to Raw that his Indus Sheer partner showed up to be Waller’s heavy. I guess that’s something. Don’t think that really does anything for Waller but I guess we’ll find out.

First Dusty Tag match was weirdly productive. It was weird because the Creed Brothers had to sell probably more than they’ve had to, and they were manhandled quite a bit. Briggs seemed to get a lot of shine as a powerhouse. The fans didn’t want any of what I outlined lol. Made sense for the brothers Creed to move on.

Wild to think it was four months ago when Chen debuted. Really tough real-life circumstances for him to deal with in that time prior to his return here. Wasn’t much of anything since Duke Hudson returned. He wasn’t as tough because he didn’t attack fans like Von Wagner. Did look like he potatoed Chen, though. Oh well.

I’m probably done with the talking between Breakker and Escobar. We can just get to the match.

The memorial service for Petey Poppins was nice enough. I guess that means Dunne may actually be getting called up. I’ll be quite interested to see how that goes. As for D’Angelo saying he wants Hayes and the championship was a surprise, especially with Grimes calling Hayes out last week. I know Hayes set up a No. 1 contender match between D’Angelo and Grimes but I’m guessing we’re just getting a triple threat there.

Definitely a massive step up in competition for Ivy by facing KLR. The crowd seemed to be behind her. Ivy seemed to be doing alright with the higher degree of difficulty. That modified DDT with her leg was a pretty innovative move, and that totally fits her style. There was the distraction by Mandy but KLR still was in a position to win, but Ivy reversed it for the upset win. That bodes well for her, but we didn’t need to have her with the jobber entrance. Indi and Persia evening the odds was kind of surprising but I guess that bodes well for their chances in the Dusty.

Harland or Gacy versus Jones is something I definitely want to see.

I do appreciate the effort they’re putting out there with Sarray. It’s interesting. The ready-made product we saw before fit the previous version of NXT but stuck out in a bad way with this version. For better or worse, they’re adding some kind of different character layering to her. Hopefully it works out.

Beyond surprised they didn’t give much time to the second Dusty tag match and gave Enofé/Blade the win. The circumstances around it with Escobar and Breakker made sense but I’m not sure why I should be more interested in the Cinderella team just because they won.

Good promo by Sikoa. The Usos used to have the face paint and Sikoa has his own, looking different. Works for me. He just needs to win next week over Boa.

Not sure what to make of Dakota punching down with an upstart tag team. Yulisa seemed fine in the ring. No real interest in the can they coexist tag team of Cora and Raquel.

Good setup over the weekend with Bivens and WALTER to set up the match with Strong. It was cool to see a night where all three parts of Diamond Mine had a chance to be on display in one episode. Needless to say, Strong had the toughest challenge out of all of them. Joseph was absolutely out of pocket wondering if WALTER was the weak link in Imperium because he didn’t have any gold. Strong got the first chop out and it sounded loud as hell. This match needed just a little more time than it was given to truly cook. That said, they delivered the goods. Strong looked fantastic here and that superplex off the top rope was something else. WALTER won, as he should, so I’m curious if this means there could eventually be a divide in Diamond Mine. That’s not the case now as the six-man angle developed after the match, but it’s something to monitor.

So they’re changing WALTER to Gunther? Why can’t they leave well enough alone. Come on…

LA Knight rules. Dude seems like he could be a big star for WWE if they backed him. Happy to see Lumis wasn't dropped out of the picture with Waller though it is funny they now make no mention of Waller ending The Way and sending Dexter's father-in-law packing. Match was good while it lasted. New pants on Dex as well as new ink filling in the right shoulder piece. Waller getting a bodyguard-type is fine, I guess.

The crowd does not seem to dig Brooks/Jensen and it cracks me up. On the other hand, i think this was their best match yet and it was a decent big hoss team fight.

I thought Hudson was Wagner when he appeared and attacked. I kind of figured Chen's breturn was more of a set up for something else and I was right.

I'm very down with the NA Title scene being set up. Memorial Service was fine, I fully suspect Dunne will be showing up in the Rumble and moving on to RAW/SD.

I was pretty hyped for KLR vs. Nile but felt like the match was a bit underwhelming. Ivy did Abadon's finisher! Happy Ivy got the big win, though. Six-woman tag setup was a six-woman tag setup.

New Sarray gimmick is...maybe Sailor Moon? New look and goddamn she is so cute I'm gonna die. Can't wait for her to be back.

I legit said to the wife that I thought Blade/Edris were gonna get the upset somehow and then they did. I can dig it and I actually think they might take the whole damn thing.

Like I said, I'm down for Boa/Solo in-ring without the supernatural nonsense so hopefully next week's match focuses more on the former than the latter. The burn make-up was a bit much.

Ok, that video package alone has me loving Leon and Feroz. Nice little match with Leon/Kai. That bridging fallaway slam by Leon was dope as hell.

Strong/Walter was good enough and delivered what you'd expect. I didn't really catch Walter's name correction or whatever that everyone (mostly Bert) is talking about. Very odd and unnecessary to go with a anme change for him and also a strange pick for what it is if that's true. Head scratcher but still, glad the dude's gonna be around on the regular now 'cuz he's a good show.

It was literally the end of NXT.

Just the stupid ass name of the game. The silly price of doing business. If anything, this name is stupid but bodes somewhat well for his initial prospects. Now, he’s on Vince’s radar. I’m sure he wasn’t going to give up his IP, rightfully so, so they had to go with something new.

Maybe they could salvage this by having him go nude a la Naked Mideon so it’s Gunther Stark….Naked.

Or have him dispense coffee in a backstage coffee shop called the Central Imperium while pining for Raquel Gonzalez. When he goes mad and smashes things, “I dropped a cup.”

It's amazing how up in arms people get over a name. Walter was a stupid name for a wrestler. Gunther is a stupid name for a wrestler.

Walter sounds like a guy you play cards with on Wednesday nights and go wig shopping with on weekends. Gunther sounds pretty badass. I think it actually fits his appearance for a name change, it's not like Spike Dudley going from that to Gunther and everybody like wtf?

Walter and this Gunther Stark dude look a lot alike. I'll see how it plays out, I like that he gets a last name to go with the other two in Imperium.

They may as well have just named him Valter.

I'll be honest, I'm surprised he's let them change his name. Ages ago he always seemed (in the dirt sheetz) to be resistant to going to WWE because he didn't really think he needed it. I'd have thought he'd have told them to shove it and go back to the indys.

    Anyway, we'll see won't we!

To be fair it's the fact that GUNTHER STARK was a fucking Nazi officer. I'm not sure how people these days feel about that kind of stuff but I'm 100% against it. I also think that's why they called him just Gunther after all the backlash they were getting yesterday. So the trademark still exists as GUNTHER STARK, but now they just call him by this new first name...which is dumb as hell when 2 weeks ago he was wrestling Matt Riddle as Walter lol.

I wonder if Walter himself came up with that name. I read somewhere he used to do Nazi type salutes and things like that thrown into his character on the independents. Maybe he's a history buff on that subject. Sort of like Slayer with songs like Angel of Death or SS-3.

Don't the wrestlers get to veto names?

I fucking hope not. Never heard of the other stuff. Whether or not they can veto names is beyond me. They probably could but I mean, even guys like Austin and Foley were set to be saddled with shit names until they worked on something better.

Most names you hear today were thought up by the wrestlers themselves. They'll make a list of like 10+ names and narrow it down. That's what I remember from people like Bayley, Sasha Banks, Kevin Owens, etc. Even Bron Breakker came up with his own name.

    Seems unlikely.

I think the way he says Gunther is fine compared to how Americans would say it. Hopefully he's just Gunther though.

I'm totally reaching here... but Sarray's new gimmick has me curious if her "schoolgirl" attire will be some kind of alternate persona? Like maybe she'll have this itty bitty schoolgirl thing going backstage, but when she steps into the ring she'll morph into some kind of super warrior? She said her necklace makes her feel like she can conquer the world.

And her using the word 'conquer' is curious. Sounds a little heelish?

    I dunno. We'll see.

Looking at WWE.com, looks like WALTER is just Gunther without a surname so at least we don't get the Nazi/Zoey's cousin thing.

Yeah, that's why I said Sailor Moon in my review as I got similar vibes. Hopefully it's not too corny/supernatural like Boa's current gimmick.

I had to show my daughters Wendy Choo. They couldn't get over the fact that yes, she is allowed to wear a onesie lol.

That's a character that you could really ride until the wheels fall off if you wanted to truly invest. It's silly but some people can get away with it.

My son reminded me that was the same woman who fought Xia Li in the MYC and they did that dope Mortal Kombat style spot at the beginning.

So Brian Kendrick requested his release a few weeks back and is waiting to have that request granted. Guess that's why the match with Harland never happened, but then why did the setup segment happen in the first place?

Well the article I read said he asked for his release probably 6 weeks ago which is right around the time they did that segment so maybe that was WHY he asked for one.

Oh yeah I'm sure they'll get Paul London and him to job to the Young Bucks again.

Opening tag match was stellar. Two fast and agile teams going pretty full tilt. Was really pulling for Jacket Time but figured their changes were slim.

Promo exchange with Santos and Breakker was good. Pretty excited for their eventual match. Had thought Ciampa might be the partner but like Dunne, also thought he might be on his way out of NXT.

Was very pleased that Solo/Boa didn't have any supernatural gimmickry to distract from the action. And it was damn good action. Good intensity, they did well in making the animosity feel legit and just beat the shit out of each other. Excellent finish with the big-ass splash through the table. Solo seems primed for big things soon.

Angry Duke feels a bit too similar to angry Wagner so it'll be interesting to see how he's going to be different and if he's still going to use the poker aspect much, etc. Razor's Edge was dope. A feud with Chen might be alright.

Six-woman tag was good. Persia getting some good shine yet again, seems like things are really going to be set up for her and Indi to have issues later as she's been doing all the heavy lifting. Assume they'll fail in capturing the tag belts and then the turn goes down.

Not sure if I said it previously but Hayward reminds me of Bo Dallas. Not really keen on his in-ring look, a bit bland. Match with GIY was fine but nothing special. Wagner with Stone might help make me tolerate him more.

Io vs. Tiffany was a much better outing for Tif than her first match. She didn't do too much and she was in their with one of the best but she didn't bungle anything this time and seemed pretty on point.

Main event was good enough. Wasn't really expecting Dunne to appear as I thought the feud seemed done (heh) and he might be main roster bound but I guess there's one more round still to go. We gonna put the cricket bat on a pole this time? Grimes/Melo for the NA Title will be really good.

Oh yeah, and it was nice they gave some decent explanation for Gunther's name change. Honestly feel like in a few weeks I'll be adjusted to the new name. Just a big huff about not much.

Forgot to comment on her performance. I was impressed she did it live and didn't lip synch but she basically just stood there without any emotion or stage presence to the performance. Pretty flat (unlike her chest heyo).

Well my recap didn’t post lol. Quick notes:

    Good Dusty tag matches.

Breakker needs to be on the main roster by the end of the year and get the Goldberg WCW push. Guy has it.

Good homage by Sikoa with the paint.

Simple enough breakdown of the name change for GUNTHER.

Indi expecting Persia to kiss her wedding ring is asking to get her ass kicked down the road. Face KLR does nothing for me.

Tiffany’s timing was much better the second go round. Curious to see a match between her and Wendy based off the athleticism.

Hayes and Grimes will be awesome.

Looks like Sarray has a Magical Girl gimmick. Using the sun medallion, she can transform into her more powerful alter ego.

Opening six-man was quite good. Wish the crowd would stop being smartasses with the Walter chants. Another win for Gunther who I suspect will be coming for Breakker after he's done with Escobar.

The stuff with Mandy and KLR all night was ok but a little lame. The promo bit that started it was better than the food and whatnot (that cake just bounced clean off Mandy lolz). Kind of seemed to backfire a bit as the NXT crowd seems to really like Rose so they weren't happy with KLR bullying her and were booing pretty good when she got her in the ring at the close of the show. Should be a pretty good match nest week.

Cora/Raquel was really good and they worked the size/strength difference into the match quite nicely. Of course they were going to pair up.

I am here for Sailor Moon-esque Sarray (Sailor Sun?). Like I said elsewhere, anime is huge so it's smart to lean into it as a gimmick. Still a pleasure to watch in the ring, too. So glad she's back, she is a delight. The necklace can be a mcguffin for an angle and then maybe it gets destroyed and she discovers the power has been inside herself the whole time and we get a nice wholesome lesson.

Promo segment with TrickMelo and Grimes was not surprisingly good as all involved are solid on the stick.

Edris/Malik almost called themselves BBC and then Malik had a boner. THE ATTITUDE ERA IS BACK BABY.

Gacy/Knight was good. Was hoping Lumis might help out Knight with the post match attack but i think he's moved on which is a shame.

Nice to see a vignette for Nikkita Lyons. Not sure it totally sold me on her as a character but I saw her 205 Live appearances and she's got some buzz and seems interesting/talented so I look forward to her NXT debut.

WENDY MOTHERFUCKING CHOO. She rules and I love her. Angle with Tiffany is fun stuff. Credit Card on a Pole Match please.

Can't say as I gave much of a damn about Chase's match or care much about him going after Von Wagner.

Main event tag match was good. Huge props to Wilde for that crazy bump at the end.

Yeah I cannot really get behind KLR either. She destroys property, kidnaps people and wields a baseball bat to bully her way into a title match. Nice sympathetic face.

And I think as much as Mandy talks a heel game, she really has been around for a long time, put in the work, and pretty much earned her title. I think the fans respect her for that even if she's trying her best to be an asshole.

Weird to see NXT try something in the sense that they had a cameraman in the ring during live action. I guess they deserve some praise for trying something different but I don’t know how practical that is.

Semi breakout performance for The Creed Brothers against GYV. The story has been about MSK getting Imperium again so that seems the route to go. That said, thinking the Creed Bros have a shot of winning the Dusty suggests they’re trending in the right direction.

It hit me over the head, but it’s perfect if Wendy uses a sleeper hold as her finish. Tiffany looked fine. The twisting splash off the turnbuckle looked good.

Sanga has a decent look but meh otherwise. Somewhat surprised they jobbed him out immediately.

Guys like Ziggler showing up just make it seem like it’s the old high school star coming back to show off. The moves like this likely aren’t helping boost ratings but they have a chance to help season the upstarts they’re trying to groom.

KLR helped but I thought Mandy looked pretty good in the ring for the main event.

GYV vs. Creed bros. was pretty decent and did well in having me uncertain about who might win. Happy it was the Creed Bros..

Wendy Choo is my favorite thing in WWE right now. Shame she's a damn criminal, though. Match with Stratton was good enough, Tiffany seems to have gotten some of the jitters out of her system.

Not seeing much in Draco Anthony at this point. Match with Dunne was nothing special. The weapons stip being added to the cage match has greatly increased my interest.

Sanga looks good but there wasn't much else to judge. Gave me some Strowman vibes. Maybe he can be @Donald's new boy. I don't think him winning here would have fit the angle and he didn't lose clean, either. They're really building the hell out of this Knight/Waller match, thing's been cooking for about 3-4 months now.

I did not expect the Championship summit to go the way it did and I am not mad about it. I had heard about Ziggler/Breakker Twitter feuding but thought it might go nowhere like the Knight/Ziggler backstage confrontation. Curious to see where things go, seems like it might be Ziggler/Ciampa having a match with the winner getting a shot at the champ.

Kai/Sarray was good enough but nothing next level. Happy to see Sarray back and gaining momentum. Kai still seems a bit aimless.

Really thought Edris/Malik might upset yet again against MSK. Really good showing, match was fast paced action straight through and Edris/Malik looked their best yet. I don't really want to see MSK win two straight so I'm rooting for a Creed Bros. win in the finals.

Main event was fine but a bit underwhelming. Finish was also a bit of a meh with TA coming back despite supposedly leaving. Should've figured KLR would be Io's partner but my guesses were others. I'm cool with it.

Pretty good card for Vengeance Day.

This was probably the best show they've done in a while. Got me genuinely interested in Vengeance Day.

Stratton's offense looked pretty good, but I was surprised she pinned Choo clean. Also surprised Sarray beat Kai clean. And why did Sarray have silver paint on her forehead. It's like she had to color her bangs at the last minute and used spray paint, lol.

Dunne and D'Angelo in an Ambrose Asylum match? Hope it's better than the first one.

I had no idea Ziggler was feuding with Ciampa on Twitter, so this was a genuine surprise for me. Looking forward to Dolph working Tuesdays and freshening up his character.

Why was the main event so short? They got about 7 min. at best. All that build up for this. Something must have run long and this suffered.

Kai should join Toxic Attraction. I thought she'd be a good fit when they teamed up for Wargames, but nothing came of it. Kai can fill the enforcer role and balance out the inexperience of Gigi and JJ.

Surprised that Choo lost. Maybe woke up on the wrong side of bed?

    The Dusty matches were bangers.

This “restraining order” storyline with Waller/Knight takes some suspension of disbelief. Waller’s breaking it plus why wait a week to arrest him instead of calling the police right there and then?

Liking NXT's use of main roster people more than I do about main roster people showing up on the other show, though Rollins and Reigns was executed rather well for cross-brand feuds in the so-called "the one time a year superstars from both shows will face each other! era.

'Bout damn time they rebranded it. It's been that in everything but the name for months.

Pretty hyped for Vengeance Day tonight though I don't like when these specials are TV specials rather than PREMIUM LIVE EVENTS as it makes them rush some matches or half the match is in an ad break. Still, pretty decent card that has potential to deliver some good matches (Grimes/Melo, Bron/Escobar, Cage match) and some interesting storyline development.

Pretty good opener between Dunne and D’Angelo. Continues to be true that TD seems to be learning rather quickly and doesn’t look bad in there. The match was pretty physical and I think some color would’ve gone a long way. Dunne winning must mean he’s staying. If he’s staying, he needs some gold.

Women’s tag was paint by numbers. Didn’t take a whole lot away from it.

Knight has turned a corner and done so in a hurry since he came back. He’s got the crowd in the palm of his hand and when gets fired up he goes from Rock/Flair into Austin in some ways. This guy is absolutely money on the stick.

Grimes/Hayes ramped up dramatically after the break and never looked back. The near falls were pretty dramatic. They’ve absolutely got something special in Hayes. They just need to avoid screwing up with him. Dunne could be the one to take him down.

Bivens mocking the Cena towel spot just goes to show how that man is something special. There’s a world where MSK/Creed Brothers would’ve been terrible but I’m glad these two delivered the goods. Absolutely shocked they zagged and had the brothers win. I wonder what this means for MSK, as it seemed destined that they would get another crack at Imperium. Good ascension for the Creeds.

I’m absolutely here for Sikoa/GUNTHER. That should be fun, and Sikoa sold me on the match instantly.

Escobar’ poncho was magnificent, and the trunks were great. The first part of the match didn’t hit me in the sweet spot. Breakker just had to do a ton of selling and the transitions were kind of off. The crowd being way into Escobar made it tough too. This wasn’t a step back for Breakker, but it just didn’t feel like a complete performance. His spear was gnarly, though.

Start of the Women’s Dusty, Ciampa/Ziggler, Nikkita’s debut, Knight/Waller. Should be good.

Opening cage match was good stuff. Nice use of weapons with some fresh and unique bits. Couple of good nearfalls in there, too. Tony's done well to win me over despite his cartoon character gimmick.

Women's tag bout was fine enough. I suspect Indi/Persia will fail to win the Dusty Cup and that'll lead to Persia turning and now it seems we might be setting up a mixed tag situation with Hudson pairing up with Persia against InDex which I am here for.

Finally getting the Knight/Waller match that's been building for about four months and I expect it should deliver. Much as I think Knight has shitloads of star potential and could be a big player on the main roster...well, you know how hard it is to feel confidant about that sort of thing. But the man is money.

NA Title match was very good. Not overly interested in seeing Hayes/Dunne revisited but it won't be bad.

MSK/Creed Bros. was a banger. Ended a bit abruptly but otherwise, great stuff. Figured Creed Bros. were taking this thing.

    Solo/Gunther sounds good.

Apparently Dakota has her own Little Jimmy situation now?

Very excited for Nikkita's debut next week.

Still think Kayden's gonna tell Brooks that she and Kacy are a couple.

Main event was pretty good. Loved Escobar's tribute tights and Breakker wore his best looking gear yet. Escobar is another guy, like Knight, that I think could be a big money player on the main roster if they don't fuck him up. Him with Legado being a big deal would be dope. They're always saying WWE's looking for that Hispanic star, well look no further. Crowd was very pro-Escobar by the end and the boos got pretty loud in that final stretch and for Bron's win. They really wanted that Ziggler kick to seal the deal. Shame the Ciampa/Ziggler stuff overshadowed the title match both last week and this week a bit as it took out some of the hype and made it feel a lot less like Escobar had a chance.

I'll be honest I don't care if they carry over Escobar's NXT gimmick in terms of having the crew, just as long as they keep the swagger. They would be a nice stable but I see this guy and I see money. I see one of the next big Latino stars. Him, Dom Mysterio, Garza, Humberto, that's a good crop.

Who is your obvious choice at the bottom left? I think attention dictates K&K wins but I don’t see that.

I'd say K&K as Nile & Paxley already lost as a team on the premiere Lvl Up. I think Paxley might just be there to be the weak link to take the fall and not actually stick with Diamond Mine.

Ivy and Tatum didn’t lose. Ivy won for the team via submission.

Ah, ok. Spoilers were wrong. Did think it odd for Ivy's first loss to be a nothing match on Lvl Up. Makes it a bit less obvious but I think I'll still stick to my thoughts.

I think they've spent the most time focusing on Jade and Gonzalez so they seem like a shoe in for the finals.

That gear and that finish are crazy.

NXT 2.0 still not about the young hot people?

Sanga has to be the least imposing big man that has come across WWE in quite some time. Jobbed out in match one and looking terrible as a heater over multiple weeks.

Biggest question now for Nikkita: Who in the future is going to induct her in the Hall of Fame? Lol. She’s impressive and moves very well. She needs more seasoning and we’ll see how she handles a live mic for a promo, but she’s got a ton of potential. Jumping round kick as the finisher makes sense.

Bivens is just a damn treasure. Sikoa and GUNTHER should be fun.

Good main event and the ending went as I thought, with Roode being the fly in the ointment for Ciampa. Ziggler isn’t going to amount to a higher ceiling than where he is on the main roster but he’s good, so I like him doing work in NXT. Once step closer to getting Breakker bigger exposure. Ciampa’s had his fun over recent weeks on Raw, so it’ll be interesting to see if Breakker gets some time on Mondays and how he takes to it.
