wonder how much longer they'll put danielson on the loosing streak for.
but i can not see him being the first one to be voted out. ( if it works by people getting voted out )

Not really bothered that NXT was mostly Mania videos this week, that makes total sense and really was the right thing to do, since the show itself doesn't have a match on the card or any other way to really promote the PPV.
Onto the matches then:
-Barrett & Sheffield vs. Slater & Gabriel was ok. Pairing Sheffield with Barrett was interesting considering their past encounters, and the end of the match only further enforced a possible feud between them, which is cool. Regal preferring Barrett over his own rookie could play out quite well, if they go with it. Gabriel did a whole lot of not much here, Slater did his usual decent offense, and both Barrett and Sheffield did fairly well, too. Another win for Slater puts him up as having quite the win/loss record so far.
-Otunga & Young vs. Bryan & Tarver was the better of the two matches, I think, based on all the factors involved. LOVED Punk just chilling on the steps with his back to the ring, completely not giving a crap. Bryan's guillotine right into that rad crossface-type move was really cool. Tarver's confrontation with Gallows, thought it cost him the match, was interesting and has me curious if they might be having a match as soon as next week. Also, the finish with Bryan inadvertently knocking Tarver off the apron also could set up Bryan vs. Tarver, perhaps.
Really interested in the voting/poll results next week. The categories are interesting ways to judge and it'll be interesting to see what the rookies do in response to their results (since I assume no one's going home, they're just getting mid-semester grades, so to speak, since the season is supposedly 17 weeks).
I have to say that, considering the voting stuff next week, so far, it hasn't been entirely fair to certain folks....particularly Tarver, for example. He's had three matches so far, all against other rookies, and has lost them all. Meanwhile, you've got other rookies who have had more matches, and not only faced pros, but have beaten them, as well. So, obviously they'd be likely to score higher, but they've been given bigger opportunities.
But this could be a good thing, Tarver could score low, but that could be what really lights a fire under him. And after attacking Slater last week, and the interaction with Gallows this week, and the mishap with his tag partner, maybe he'll really step up and start bustin' chops. Meanwhile, a guy like Slater, who's got a great win/loss record and whatnot could rank high and start getting cocky, over confidant, etc. So, the grades could be further devices for more character development and storyline stuff.
Just kind of rambling and thinking out loud with all that.
I remember them saying that too, but from the sounds of things they're just evaluating and not sending anyone home now.
Like mth said, I think there'll be a turnaround. Slater's good, but a bit of an annoying gimp and I think he will fall. Bryan will get a crap overall score, but it will all turn around when he probably beats the Miz.
Would like to see more of Tarver and Sheffield too and if the Young/SES relationship will progress.
Is Bryan ever going to get a break? Guessing he will win the US title.
