I liked him in ff and fantastic 4 but it's very overrated
Its not God Awful, but some many people were making it sound like it was the Second Coming of Kirby/Lee. I prefer Mark Waid's run with the FF taking over Latveria. I thought was actually genius and that does have the second coming of Kirby.
Just read Locke and Key from start to finish over the last four or five days. Just masterful story-telling. Had me even cheering for the spacker...

Saga is so good. I got guardians, rocket racoon and hip hop family tree for free comic book day. My store didn't have Sherwood Texas which was disappointing. I wanted to read a Robin hood story in the style of sons of anarchy.
Rick, you'll love Saga. I've yet to find someone that hasn't loved it at minimum. I have the single issues and I've re-read them so many times. BKV might be my favorite comic book writer ever.
So I went to a yard sale yesterday and for .50 cents for each comic I bought X-Men 266 (Gambit's first appearance), New Mutants 87 (Cable's first appearance), Batman's A Death in the Family, 1st printing, and Wolverine 1 from his first comic book in 1982, and Wolverine 10 from the late 80s, which was Wolverine vs. Sabertooth, and an X-Men comic that I thought was Psylocke's first appearance, but it wasn't.
I paid $3.00, the lot is probably worth $100+
I love yard sales.

I'm through the first TP of Saga, and it is really good. I'll probably get through the next two by the end of the week. The SciFi elements are really cool. You can see some influences, but not so much it smacks you around with them. Little nods make me smile. I'll elaborate later.

Just read Invincible #111, and I'm always reminded why this is my favorite comic series of all time. Seriously, if you're into real super hero type books, put all your emotions in a steel chest and read this book.

It's worth the read, trust me. Buy the trades and they'll go by quick... QUICK.
I would suggest the two companions that are $30 each, it will save you some cash and they are easy reads for the most part.
It is pretty damn good.
I'm now through the first three trades. So far I put this on par and maybe above the first three Y: the Last Man trades. Interesting to see how and where he takes it from here.

Manhattan Project is so good. GJ Joe/Transforms, the one Image did with Jae Lee was surprisingly good, yet most of their team ups suck. Now, the Cobra Commander figure in a Sky Striker that looks like StarScream maybe one of the best San Diego exclusives of all time.
I picked up a few new titles, Spiderman 2099, Silver Surfer, etc. I may check out Manhattan Project next though

I don't know. It's really hard for me to operate like that. The art gets better, though starts off quite weak. Actually, there's rotating artists, one of them isn't that bad to be fair.
The story is really interesting to me, but may not be for people who hate alternate reality kind of stuff or are suckers for continuity. But I'm a wrestling fan as well, so continuity obviously means bugger all.
Maybe an 8 or a 9 out of 10? I liked it, but it might not be for everyone. I'm going to check out some of the other digital things.
Extra half a star for Alfred the Butler headbutting Superman and laying him flat on the ground. I really enjoy the premise of the story, I'm not sure I've actually seen it tackled in such a way. We've seen things like "The Nail" where the whole universe would be different if the Kents had a flat, and Superman was born somewhere else... but this is basically, what happens right now, if Superman decides that the world's leaders are no longer capable of protecting/leading the world into peace. And it's not so black and white, we see a conflicted Superman, who doesn't always agree with everything that he's doing, but sometimes does it because it's the most effective way to do something, that will prevent the loss of a large number of lives.

It's alright so far from memory, I read the first three issues a couple of weeks ago (or maybe it was two) and it seemed to be pretty decent.

Yes. Its not the greatest cover in the world. One, DC trying to get cash over something from 20 years ago is typical DC. Two, we don't know what he was thinking when he was drawing it. He could have been told, this what we want..Do it! He could have thought it on his own which is kinda unoriginal and now looking back on it thinks it was a bad idea. Lastly, he is the creator, he has a right to do with it what he wants. The SJW are not wrong, its a very disturbing cover.

DC's doing a Joker themed variant cover w/ 25 comics, and Albuquerque figured he would pay homage to TKJ:
My Batgirl variant cover artwork was designed to pay homage to a comic that I really admire, and I know is a favorite of many readers. 'The Killing Joke' is part of Batgirl’s canon and artistically, I couldn't avoid portraying the traumatic relationship between Barbara Gordon and the Joker.
For me, it was just a creepy cover that brought up something from the character’s past that I was able to interpret artistically. But it has become clear, that for others, it touched a very important nerve. I respect these opinions and, despite whether the discussion is right or wrong, no opinion should be discredited.
My intention was never to hurt or upset anyone through my art. For that reason, I have recommended to DC that the variant cover be pulled. I'm incredibly pleased that DC Comics is listening to my concerns and will not be publishing the cover art in June as previously announced.

I just read the Killing Joke for the first time a few months back, great story and I think this cover art is incredible as well. Pisses me off more than anything though when an artist caves in, artist expression should be respected unless it's extremely tasteless. Do I want to see a painting of Adolf Hitler gleefully burning Jews? No. This cover is awesome, I'd get that shit framed.
You can draw whatever you want. They can sell whatever they want. Why would they pull it? Because they don't want bad PR or lost sales. Is it art when it's about money?

I honestly don't believe the bad PR would have stuck. I'd surmise that most people either don't give a shit or weren't offended and that the people who are flipping out over it will forget about it in a few days once they find a new cause to hashtag about.

I don't see a problem with superheroes being "sexy". I'd personally like to see a comic about dumpy out of shape heroes, but I can't imagine that being a mainstream success.
Yes. Rodger is right. It is a marketing ploy now. Again, we have no idea who came up with the cover either the artist or the editorial staff. What the artist can do whatever he or she wants with their work. People complaining about censorship on this are wrong. Its not about censorship, its about an artist putting out a piece of work, a part of the audience rejecting and rethinking the work. Everyone should get a first draft.

I've stopped reading comments on youtube completely because of people claiming to be reddit405blahblahblah or redditsuckmyballsporchdick and all they do is rip apart every fucking thing that I actually enjoy watching. Every comment I've ever seen posted by a supposed redditor has been nothing but complaints. And they say that because they are redditor so and so, everything they say is truth and fuck everybody elses opinions. I wish youtube would just turn off it's damn comments all together sometime. And the issue with this batgirl cover is only an issue because of people who have sand in their vaginas. I used to have a picture of Alice Cooper hanging on my wall in my office with other little pictures. This particular picture was 2 x 3 inches and it was of him and Leann Rymes where he's pretending to choke her. He does this on request with anyone who ask for pictures with him. My boss at the time, told me I had to take it down because it was degrading to women. So, I printed a picture of Alice choking a male fan and put it in it's place the next day. I still got in trouble because now I was promoting violence. Can't fucking win anymore.

The idea of having to park your account if you're not going to be using it regularly seems absolutely ridiculous to me.
I understand it, every private torrent site I know is like this. Waffles, what.cd, sceneaccess, torrentleech, they're invite only and have user limits. If the user isn't being active then they make room for someone who will be.
