If anyone's methods will suit shithousing Jokanovic it's Rowett, he's got form for it and will take guidance from what Monk did last week in stifling the middle. Fulham have looked nervy for a few weeks now and there are weaknesses emerging. They lost to Reading last year because Cairney wasn't fit and their early season form this year was poor because he was injured. Cairney spent the game against Sunderland holding his back and wasn't in the game last week and since last season's injury avoids any physicality. I suspect someone like Bradley Johnson will be in the team to track him. Mitrovic and Targett signing in January are cited as key reasons for their upturn in form but really it was the return to fitness of Cairney that made the biggest difference.
They've also been playing Piazon at right midfield and it destroys all the balance of the team. He tucks inside all the time. It isolates Fredericks and they don't use him because he doesn't have an option to keep possession. It means Sessegnon's space is stifled and he can't continue his run of tap-ins scored by running in from the left because there's no space. I very much doubt he'll start tonight but if Piazon plays on the right again I'll be all aboard Derby to win the first leg.
I guess it all depends if Olsson is fit but I think Vydra would have a great time against Odoi who likes to mess around with the ball at the back. Weimann performs the same role but at some point Odoi will give the ball away to an attacker trying to turn him or something and you'd back Vydra over Weimann to take advantage.
