No one cares about spelling at this time in the morning.

It's all on Sky box office, which is irritating. I'll have to scrape some money together.

I'll be rooting for Pacquiao next week, sadly I can't see him pulling off an upset. He'll need the fight of his life to do it. I still think it's bizarre that they're actually facing each other given the size difference, but I'll be looking on in interest. I can see Oscar flooring him with a body shot in the mid-rounds. Whatever happens, I hope Hatton takes Floyd's advice and fights Manny next.

I've not a clue what Khan's opponent is like, I can only assume he's a no-hoper with no power. Warren won't risk another defeat for a long time. It'll be interesting to see what improvements in his technique Roach has helped him with him over the last couple of months, if any. Apparently Roach said the other day he felt Khan would be able to beat Hatton soon! I don't think Khan would last long against Hatton's power if the likes of Limond put him on the canvas. I like Khan though, hope he does well.

I'll be cheering on Macca and Froch too, tough fights but it'd be nice to have a couple more Brits with World titles. Should be a great night of boxing.

Anyone see Paul Appleby on sky the other night? He looks like a class prospect.

Froch clashes with Judgement night. Gayness.

Record Froch, watch it between Maccarinelli and ODLH/Pacman. Easy.

I'm assuming Khan and Macca will both be on about 11pm-12am, and the big one will be another 4am job, so plenty of time inbetween. Anyone know if there's anything good on the Vegas undercard?

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 21, 2008) – Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank announced the addition of two 12-round title fights to the December 6 pay-per-view undercard of “The Dream Match,” headlined by the 12-round welterweight collision between two of boxing’s biggest attractions OSCAR DE LA HOYA and MANNY PACQUIAO.

NABO junior welterweight champion and Top-Five contender “Vicious” VICTOR ORTIZ defends his title against JEFFREY RESTO and WBO junior featherweight champion JUAN MANUEL “Juanma” LOPEZ defends his crown against Top-10 contender and Argentinian National super bantamweight champion SERGIO “Rocky” MEDINA. Combined, these four warriors have a sterling record of 100-4-1 (69 KOs) – a winning percentage of 95% and a victory by knockout ratio of 69%.

Ortiz (22-1-1, 17 KOs), from Oxnard, Calif., a former amateur standout, is currently riding a two-year, 16-bout unbeaten streak, including 12 knockout victories. He captured the vacant NABO title in his last fight, a fifth-round stoppage of Roberto Arrieta in September. Recent knockout victories of former world champion Carlos Maussa and contender Emmanuel Clottey have raised his world rating to a career-high, No, 5 in both the WBO and the WBA. Resto (22-2, 13 KOs) is enjoying a four-year winning streak. This year, the Bronx native of both Mexican and Puerto Rican descent scored decision wins over Humberto Tapia and Hector Altorre, who had a combined record of 27-8-1 when he fought them. Resto is currently rated No. 7 by the NABO.

Lopez (23-0, 21 KOs), from Caguas, Puerto Rico, will be making his second world title defense on December 6. The 2004 Puerto Rican Olympian has not had an opponent go the distance with him in over two years. He captured the world title in June, knocking out defending champion Daniel Ponce De Leon in the first round. He retained the title in his first defense in October against Cesar Figueroa, again by first-round knockout. Medina (33-1, 18 KOs), from Salta, Argentina, enters the fight riding a five-bout winning streak, while collecting the WBO-Inter-Continental, the Argentina National and the WBA Latin American junior featherweight titles en route to a top-10 world rating.

Promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank, Inc., presented by Tequila Cazadores and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate, DeWalt Tools, Full Throttle Energy Drink and Southwest Airlines. De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao, a 12-round welterweight battle, will take place Saturday, Dec. 6 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev. The fight will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per View, beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
MGM Grand will host closed circuit viewing in conjunction with the upcoming “Dream Match” between the ‘Golden Boy’ Oscar De La Hoya and Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao.

Tickets for the closed circuit telecast are priced at $100 (preferred viewing) and $60, not including handling fees. All seats are general admission and are now on sale at the MGM Grand ticket office outlets at the Concierge desk and the KÀ Theatre box office. Tickets also will be available by visiting www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 702-474-4000. Ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person. Additional MGM MIRAGE properties will host closed circuit viewing and tickets will go on sale at a later date
HBO’s all-access reality series “De La Hoya/Pacquiao 24/7″ returns with an all new episode on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

An additional pay-per-view bout and a complete undercard will be announced shortly.

---Gerry Penalosa vs Abner Mares for the WBO Superbantamweight title was scheduled but hasn't been confirmed.
Some action from the lighter weight classes, hopefully some fireworks before the big one.

I'll be cheering for Pac Man. They're saying "a good big man beats a good little man", but Pacquiao is a great fighter who might be meeting Oscar at just the right time in their careers.

Fantastic. Heard great things about both Ortiz and Juanma, should be a cracking undercard. That's SIX fights I want to watch on Saturday now.

Pacquiao will have to pull out the fight of his life if he's to win, but if anyone can make up for the size difference he can. I very much doubt he'll have the power to trouble Oscar, so he'll have to use his speed to strike and get back out of danger and hope for a decision if he's to do it. Unless Oscar really has slowed down a lot since the Mayweather fight (still haven't seen the Forbes fight), then I suppose constant pressure could cause a stoppage. Can't wait.

Banks out of the Maccarinelli fight.

First Nicky Cook pulls out, now Banks. Looks like Khan's headlining the bill again.

Interesting that BBC have reported it on their website but Sky are yet to comment on it. Can't do anything to hurt those PPV buys.

Sky have put up a piece saying that Enzo will probably get a new opponent and will still compete for the belt. Don't know who can step in with 5 days notice like that outside of an anonymous scrubber, and I don't think the WBO would want to be in a position where a journeyman from Barnsley or Scarborough finds the perfect punch and gets their belt.

Who knows, the WBO are a bit of a joke.

I figured he'd have a tune-up fight and then face Banks for the belt early next year, but if Macca gets an easy fight for the title I wouldn't begrudge him it. Everything that could have gone wrong for him this year has gone wrong.

    Enzo has a new opponent:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7761231.stm

He's only lost once but his past five fights have been against bad/off form fighters. Also he has never fought outside of Puerto Rico or the US. On paper it should be an easy Enzo win.

I don't know much about Froch, but Pascal has pretty much always fought against nobodies. Therefore, I don't like his (JP) chances.

So it begins ITV4 has the undercard for the Froch fight. First up is Tyson Fury a 6'9" brit making his debut, this should be a great start to a great night.

The size difference here is fucking ludicrous.

    First round knockout. Jesus.

This guy is a strange one, he isn't built like a boxer and the guy he destroyed had lost 9 of his 14 fights, he will be an interesting talent to watch though.

Pretty much. He's a journeyman from Blackpool. But who else could they have got on a days notice?

I like Enzo. Getting knocked out by Haye is nothing to be ashamed about. He's got plenty of good fights ahead of him.

Froch and Khan clash then, I think I'll watch glass jaws few rounds and the rest of Froch's match.

Froch starting straight away then? Thought they might have some build up or maybe a short undercard fight first.

I wish it was Audley that clashed with Froch.

Quality showing that from Khan. Much more patient early on, great power and accuracy once he had Fagan wounded. He's got the power and the hand speed to give anyone problems, he's just got to box a lot more sensibly than he was before. A good trainer can teach him how to keep out of harm's way. He's got the natural ability to do well, and he's exciting to watch.

Only the second time Fagan's been stopped. Sure he was out of his depth, but Khan needed a fight like that. Luverly.

Khan's working with the best now, he is very exciting and it's made even more interesting by the fact he could lose with one punch.

I saw some clips of Khan sparring with Pacquiao. He was giving as good as he was getting.

I don't know why everyone hates Khan. He seems a nice lad.

Pascal came out to the games music.

Froch looked like he was shitting himself earlier, I hope he doesn't choke.

    Cracking fight.

I can see why they said Pascal fights a similar style to Jones. Not much work-rate but very quick combinations.

Mik's right, Froch needs to pace himself. This guy has a decent chin on him it seems.

Great night of boxing so far. Macca beat up a chippy, Khan crisp and accurate, Froch won an EPIC.

And the night is still young...

Froch vs. Pascal was a great fight. Didn't have the drama of Katsidis/Casemayor or Cotto/Margarito, but was still a great display of toughness and stamina by both men. Froch could have had him all night with the jab, but got drawn into it a bit and held his own. Hopefully he can get a run going now.

Harrison's post-fight interview . I think Warren has disowned him, and he came out with one of his all-time classics, and he's full of them: "fair play to Rogan, he beat me, I broke my jaw in the second or at least it felt like it (while talking exactly the same as usual, mind). I'll be back in 2009, my year" etc. Quality stuff. What a gimp.

    Fantastic fights, those two.

Best fights I've seen this year, along with Pacquiao/Marquez II and Vazquez/Marquez III.

Hopefully this one coming up is up there as well.

De la Hoya to win rounds 7-9 is 6/1 on Coral. Tempting.

Don't want to bet against Manny though. Want to cheer him on.

Oooh, Jacobs on the undercard as well? This guy looks quality.

Wasn't he on the Calzaghe undercard a few weeks back? I'm sure I saw him fight not too long ago. Might have been Hopkins/Pavlik.

How could anyone cheer on Oscar in this fight? He's fighting a midget compared to him.

It was Pavlik, UKblue. I have never seen him before but he looks dangerous. He's only been pro a year and he's 14-0 with 13 KO's!!!

    NO IT'S NOT OK.

I can't believe Oscar would have been in the ring with both Hopkins and Pacquiao after this fight. Take the weight Hopkins is at now, minus the weight Manny started his career at, equals about half a Ricky Hatton. Mental.

Pacquiao has the kind of face that if I saw it in the street I would get an urge to punch it. Obviously I wouldn't because he's the top pound for pound boxer in the world but I would WANT to.

If I saw GOLDEN BOY I'd want to go and give him a massive hug.
