Fair play to him. He's having the last laugh over a load of people that have spent the last decade slagging him off.

Yep Harrison was a massive let down, right from the start the crowd was on him and he took some shit. Haye was his usual self waiting for an opening and when he found it he took it. Despite the early finish I still enjoyed myself at the fight yesterday.

Then Mayweather should just retire if he doesn not want Manny.

Pacquiao Looked Sensational yet Again yesterday, what a truly great boxer he is.

He's top 10. He honestly may even end up Top 1.

You've got to have Ali, Duran, Leonard and Robinson up there, Joe Louis too. Depends what he does from here on out though I suppose.

Bob Arum says he is the best boxer he has ever seen, and he has seen a few. What is certain now is that Manny doesn't need Mayweather, he is way above him.

This fight will be fucking epic. I absolutely adore Sergio Martinez.

I do think Williams will take this one pretty handily though.

Could be. You have to figure that both of these guys will be taking a more tactcal approach. If the fight isn't an all out slugfest then you have to figure Williams by a wide UD. If they have a similar all-out slugfest then Martinez will have a much better chance. Martinez didn't look particularly sharp in his last fight. I am rooting for him all the way, but it will take some serious mistakes by Williams to not win this fight.

For the record, I thought Martinez won the first fight.

My official prediction is Williams TKO 9, though I hope I am wrong.

The first fight is worth a download. It truly was one of the best fights of last year. Also, if you have never seen the Andre Berto/Luis Collazo fight it is one of the best fights of the last decade IMO. It was either late 2008 or 2009.

Awesome. I'd love to hear your thougts on Berto/Collazo. I think I might be the only person on earth who actually watched that fight, and it was on par with Vasquez/Marquez II from an all-out action standpoint.

Incredible KO. I'd actually like to see a 3rd fight between them. Williams made a fairly rookie mistake there. Didn't see that coming at all.

Max made a fairly good point after the fight. There really isn't anyone left for him to fight.

Some good fights on Saturday night. Froch/Abraham should be tremendous, as should Marquez/Katsidis, plus we get to see the best Super Middle in the world fight in Andre Ward.

Fancy Froch strongly here. Abraham is massively overrated.

Froch isn't getting stopped. He'll no doubt get tagged a few times and Abraham is heavy handed, but Arthur is nowhere near the level of Pascal or Kessler.

I think Froch will bully him.

Utter class from Froch, hopefully he will continue to box rather than slug his way through the rest of the tournament.

They just said that the rematch of this fight will be the semi final, looks like Carl has one foot in the final unless Arthur can improve massively.

Arthur can't improve massively. He's shite.

Well done Carl, boxed beautifully and completely outclassed him. Superior in every way possible. Abraham is so one dimensional and predictable while Froch was throwing hard shots from all sorts of angles. Bit annoyed he didn't get the stoppage as that has royally screwed my bets up, but he did the right thing towards the end. It wasn't worth taking any chances.

Will surely be a Froch/Ward final. Wouldn't fancy Froch's chances in that one but I do think he has the beating of Bute.

I find it unbelievable that Abraham was the favourite for that fight. He has absolutely nothing to offer other than a decent right hand.

Got a feeling tonight might be Katsidis' night as well. Age is bound to catch up with Marquez eventually, he's often been a slow starter and Katsidis, with added determination from the passing of his brother, is likely to jump on him from the off. That said, I hope JMM puts on a masterclass and gets the win in a classic. Love the guy.

Time for a few hours sleep before that one starts

That was a highly entertaining fight. The only decent one last night considering Berto's first round KO, the Froch/Abraham borefest, and the monstrosity that was the Ward fight.

Audley Harrison to carry on fighting

By Audley Harrison: “After spending some time away reflecting on the fight and outcome, I have made the decision to continue my journey in boxing and carry on my career as a professional.. The David Haye experience had many highs away from the ring and I'm happy I had a great training camp and worked with two of my brothers again in camp. I surrounded myself with a world class team and pushed myself to the limit in training and left my changing room knowing I had given my all to get to this point.

The outcry from the fight is expected as I didn't get the result I wanted and the critics have once again tried to bury me under the rubble and hope I disappear. All I can say is I had a game plan and went into the ring to win. The way the fight ended was frustrating to me as I didn't get going and was just settling into my rhythm.

Both styles of feinting and moving was off-setting the both of us in the first two rounds and I was just zoning in on his rhythm when he got through.

I'll never be crash - bang - wallop and I'm glad about that; my style is unique but can run into problems like all styles can and I got caught by a good set of punches to go down. I give David credit as I never expected him to hurt me as he did, but anyone could see it was a premature stoppage and I should have been allowed to carry on and ride out the rough patch, even if that meant I would have got KO’d.

I think the Vitali Klitschko beating of Shannon Briggs a few weeks earlier and the public outcry made the referee jump in early and I was denied the opportunity to show my grit, determination and desire to be in there and compete and try to get back on level terms.

Let the haters and negative comments continue – I don't really care. I know me and I can sleep at night as I'm happy with who I am today. Yes it hurts not to achieve your goals, but we roll up our sleeves and we try again; such is the beauty of life.”

Is this guy for real? What a fucking idiot he is. 'My style is unique.' Yeah, the walk around the ring looking terrified while not throwing any punches certainly is an aquired talent.

I could have rode out the rough patch, even if it meant getting KO'd.

What the fuck is he on about?

What a joke of a human being, I hope one of the up and comers knocks him out.

He'll get knocked out next time. Boxing refs hate being criticised for that kind of bullshit.

Some great fights on Saturday. Khan vs. Maidana should be epic, and both fights of the Bantamweight Super 4 should be entertaining, particularly if Vic Darchinyan doesn't look as old as he has in his last 2 fights.

Don't sleep on the undercards of the Khan/Maidana fight either. Lamont Peterson and Victor Ortiz should be a great matchup until Ortiz gets rocked a little and his heart disappears and he eventually gives up.

Yhonny Perez and King Kong Agbeko should be fucking ace. I love those little guys. Too bad no Donaire in this tourney.

Mik, what do you reckon about Smith v DeGale? Seems like an easy Smith UD to me.

Cant see De Gale being matched with it if he wasnt likely to win it.

James DeGale is so very fucking irritating, I just can't bring myself to like him.

Khan is beat Maidana by UD is 11/2 on Skybet. Bet of the century.

Khan by UD is probably the right call, but I'm surprised it is so wide. Maidana is wild, but he is the epitome of a fighter with a punchers chance and I am still curious about Khan's chin...

Obviously if Khan gets caught clean he's in big trouble. I'm banking on him not getting hit. He should be far too quick for Maidana and should boss the fight with his jab, especially with his reach advantage. Maidana will struggle to get close enough to do any damage.

I can see it being a near shut out, although I can't see Khan pushing for the stoppage late on like he did against Malignaggi due to the fear of what might come back. Khan UD at 11/2 is honestly the best bet I have ever seen.

So you are happy to get $118 on a $100 bet behind a fighter who hasn't beaten anyone of note? I love Khan and expect that decision also, but wouldn't put money on it with those odds...

$100 would return $650. Are odds backwards in America?

Yeah, Jesus. Definitely no value in GBF's bet. That would be crazy.

Odds have come in to 9/2 now.

Yeah I'm going for UD Smith, mate on work has £20 with me he had DeGale win and I have Smith.

Can't wait to go, with Liverpool being 5:30 kick off and then the boxing being on it's going to be a rather messy Saturday night.

Wlad out for the Chisora fight then. In future I'd suggest that he doesnt claim Haye was a coward for pulling out of their fight late with an injury.

Smith v DeGale and Khan v Maidana is still worth £15 in my opinion.

Also, I'm going to watch it with mates so I will only pay a few quid.

Same here. It's easy enough to get a decent stream for those who aren't willing to pay, but you can't beat watching it with a good crowd on a 50" telly.

I'm liking the gap between the Liverpool card and Vegas card. Provides valuable pub time.

Not to worry, Cleverly's fighting a Frenchman called Nadjib Mohammedi instead. One loss in 24 bouts. Seems like a good replacement.

    Re: Mayweather -

The dude has millions of dollars BUT YET, He is facing ROBBERY, LARCENY charges. And a woman beater to boot. Please government, Do us a favor. Let the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight happen before you lock this stupid fuck up (If you even do that), So we can see this pussy who has dodged Manny get his brains beat the fuck out. THEN send him my way, So I can fight him, and regardless whether I win or lose, My people in attendance will give him the same treatment that jesus got. THEN lock this fuckin punk up for 10 years to teach his ass a lesson.

Ahh, fuck off, that got stopped a bit sharpish there. Not to take anything away from De Gale, he was fucking Smith up, but he could have saw that round out. De Gale looks a great prospect, just a shame that he acts like a complete cunt.

Amazing stuff from Amir, I am so surprised at the punishment he took. That was a coming of age fight if ever I have seen one. Who next? Bradley I suppose if he has the balls to take Khan on.

Epic performance by Khan. Proved the doubters wrong about his chin.

Maidana also showed that he is NOT to be fucked with. I doubt Khan ever gets in the ring with him again.

Maidana was definitely a bit dirty. His refusal to touch gloves multiple times made me smile.

No denying that he has massive heart as well.

I liked that. Poor Khan didnt know what to do, he's not used to unsporting behaviour.

I was talking to my mate today about the fight and he said that Khan was on a flight back from America with him, sat just across the aisle. Said he was an absolutely lovely lad, was getting bothered all flight and spoke to everyone, signed anything, talked to people the whole flight back. Perfect gentleman.

He boxed beautifully at times last night, blurring handspeed, picked some great angles. Its impressive that if that first round had gone on 30 seconds longer he would've won a stoppage in round 1. Great guts by Maidana and Khan, both took some vicious punishment.

My mate works at Nuts and has interviewed him a few times.

He says he's a nice lad too.

Well, that confirms it...he is a nice lad. Two stories is no coincidence.

Its funny how we started to knock him down over here and he became a victim of his own success and we were so pleased to see him knocked out. He knuckles down, gets away from the poison that the British environment has to successful people and immediately does wonders for his careers. The two best British fighters of the past decade and a bit both made the decision to go away from Britain to fulfil their potential.

It was a brilliant fight. Hard to believe that guy was the same fighter who battered Chad Dawson. That was easily the best fight of Bernards that I have ever seen. His chin is pretty legit for an old man, and he flexed some power.

Pascal has always seemed to punch much softer then he looks like he would...
