    Do we?

Even if he gets injured tomorrow, with an estimation of being fit just in time for Russia, which pans out, I'd take him in a heartbeat.

He did look good last night and surely we will give him a new contract. Needed that win, West Brom next which is also a must win, cannot afford to drop any points while everyone around us is winning.

Check all my posts and work out the percentages mate. I contribute quite a bit actually, But we cant all be up to your standard of popping in here every week to slag our own club.

Anyhows, I probably would take Wilshere, But has been said there is a huge caveat.

Can't wait for Wilshere to sign a new four year contract and immediately pick up a three year and eight month injury.

That was a huge goal for Liverpool. Their fans were not happy about resting so many stars and a non-win would have left many questions.

You have to be registered 24 hours before kick off, and as he only officially signed at midnight there were only 15 hours until kick off. Adrien Silva has finally signed for Leicester but had the same problem

We're not bottom of the league, won two on the bounce and two clean sheets to go with them.

As starts to a calendar year go, we've had worse.

Allegedly the bloke has said that he said "Yid" and not "kid".

Like that's better. "I wasn't abusing your dead child, I was merely being racist".

    World's gone mad.

To be fair it is better. Even if meant it in a racist way rather than just a generic - though obviously historically loaded - term for Tottenham fans, it's still better than abusing his dead son which is just about as low as it gets.

That was never a penalty on Hazard. Two games in a row that the ref has done us and cost points.

Wilshere should have had a 2nd yellow before he scored the opener though, to be fair.

That said, it is good to see him playing a run of games. Hope that continues for him.

It was a penalty. Also Wilshere should already have been off by the time he scored after that dive. If anyone was screwed by the ref it was Chelsea.

It wasnt a penalty. Both Bellerin and Hazard were going for the ball, the contact was minimal.

    Wilshere wasn't a dive either

Was a dive from Wilshire, wasn’t a penalty for hazard.

3 wins from 3 this year, all of which have been clean sheets. In the 4th round of the cup. Villa out, after conceding 3 at home to Peterborough.

Why should we worry about the cup when we’ve got something to fight for in the league?

If everyone hadn't got injured he'd still have Gallagher on the wing. Fine margins.

You’re not wrong. Through a lot of luck and some defensive understanding, things look like they’ve come me together.

Gallagher, Vassell, Adams, Jota, Maghoma. That attacking line up is not weak. Next season, provided this is a trend and not an outlier, will be interesting.

Conceding 3 penalties in 3 games. A shit defence, that's poorly coached. Shit team selection, topped off by a past it manager who will be barely be able to leave the club with any sort of dignity left at this rate.

The annual collapse has started early this year. Out of the F Cup, will lose to Chelsea in the league cup, already 5 points behind 4th, not in the Champions League, best two players leaving on a free. #inarsenewerust

3 penalties in 3 games and while I don't think any of them should have been given, can understand why they were. That happens, But to allow that penalty to stand, with the ball travelling and spinning in a way impossible to pull off with one foot, is incompetent to a level where they should be in charge of games for a goodly while.

Unlike the other penalties, it didn't have an impact on the result, but just a jaw droppingly bad decision to give the goal.

4 penalties in 3 games now! Though saying that, the last one was a fucking joke. Not only was it not a penalty, even I, watching the game on a shitty stream that only worked portrait on my phone, could tell he double kicked that ball, as soon as he fell over and it slowly looped into the net.

I cannot get enough of this trend of Arsenal getting debatable decisions going against them.

Judging by the lineup, Wenger thinks so too. He's basically decided to go for the Europa League and Carabao Cup double to salvage something from this season, like Mourinho did last year. What's worse is that while Mourinho realised a little later in the season that it was something he must do, Wenger's made that decision in the first week of January and probably already accepted that he can't compete head to head with City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs in the league.

Worth bearing in mind that Forest's team was younger than Arsenal's.

£25m for Johnny Evans? Cannot say I am particularly excited about that one to be honest.

The fact that Coquelin and Walcott are being linked with moves out is good though. You just know they have no one lined to replace Sanchez

You should be. He is exactly what you need and a massively weirdly underrated player.

I would love him at Everton.

Mason Holgate potentially facing a ban seems a bit harsh and not the most pro-active way to facilitate positive change.

It's a difficult one. Taken in isolation he should be punished for the push as it was fucking dangerous both to Firmino and the people he hit, but A) the ref saw it and took no action, so this would set a precedent, and more importantly B) if, as seems likely, there isn't any hard evidence that Firmino said anything racist, it leaves you with a situation where Holgate claims to have been racially abused but ends up getting banned. And arguably if it wasn't for his allegation, the incident probably would have passed without any further action, so his allegation will have led directly to his ban...which, rightly or wrongly, will look terrible on the FA.

If you're involved in the football structure at any level, don't the FA have jurisdiction? I think they could, conceivably, ban amateur players for doing similar.

    Hmm dunno to be honest.

Obviously a decent player and can score a few goals but hes been around for ever and a lot of his game is based in his pace which wont last forever.

There are worse players to sign, he would improve us attacking wise (a 3 legged dog would improve us though).

I usually just bet the Unders for Everton. But I got suckered into a home game against a team in relegation zone. Seemed like a classic game to reverse their poor run and win 1-0.

Bad weekend to drop points for Spurs, with the rest of the top 6 winning. Assuming Liverpool beat Swansea tonight, that is.

That said, they didn't deserve any more than they got yesterday. Wasn't watching intently, as we had the in-laws over, but there didn't really seem to be any real chances created by Spurs, with the exception of the late Kane chance. If anything, Saints were a tad unlucky not to win it.

We were crap yesterday, made Southampton look good. It's alarming how mediocre we look as soon as any of our key attacking players are out, it disrupts everything. I've been outspoken about how crap Alli is capable of being a number of times on here but yesterday was as bad as I've ever seen him. At his worst he was overrunning the ball in a manner that, if it was Sissoko, would have our fans ordering plane banners and snipers on the roof. At his best, he was merely holding onto the ball for so long that dangerous counter attacks came to nothing. Very, very poor.

Very sad about the death of Jimmy Armfield, for me he's one of those unforgettable voices of football, reminding me of my youth - before I had Sky and televised football was a near-constant, Armfield, Alan Green and Ron Jones helped me learn to love football with their 5 Live commentaries. Always had something relevant to say, always provided another way of thinking about the game, and always came across as a thoroughly decent man.

I'll be having a decent bet on Spurs beating Juventus over two legs. I've seen a lot of Juve this season and they are pretty shit apart from a couple of defenders and Dybala. Their midfield is workmanlike but uninspired. Pjanic is shite, Higuain looks depressed and finished. Spurs should take them apart really.
