Probably involving you wanking over Aubemeyang’s upcoming new contract or similar such bollocks, while you have time to reflect on being hopelessly out of your depth going up against me

What is the constant wanking obsession you have? Is that your main pastime, or did you ever get over texting girls and not having the guts to actually meet them in person

Out of my depth ahahahaha. When you can actually post without flaming posters or using google images come back to me. I'm sure you need to wish death on someone or call someones work to get them sacked, so off you go.

Of course, that sounds marginally funny at first glance... until you perform any sort of due diligence/search on my posting history and thread search button and see there’s 4 pages of the word in this thread and I’ve written the word myself just once. Hell, if writing something once is an obsession I’d hate to know what that means for you since you spend an awful lot of time, over a period of many years banging on about JS? You’re practically his biographer it seems... despite him not having a fuckin’ clue who you are.

So yeah, we’ll file this latest lie under the “Our 2004 Premier League Trophy is Gold!” lie, along with all the rest

Rumours that we've lodged accepted bids for Watkins and Rashica. Further rumours that Rashica only wants to move to a CL club. God knows what's happening with Benrahma at the moment but I assume they're gonna be ready to offload soon given Toney is moving. Let the dominoes fall.

If we get any of them then our lineup next season looks pretty decent

    Watkins
    Benrahma - - - - Rashica
    Grealish
    Luiz - - - - McGinn
    Targett - - Mings - - Konsa - - Guilbert
    Heaton

When you have a good end to a season you naturally get a few high hopes for the one afterwards. The only thing I can equate it to from your experience is how you felt in 2011.

When we finished comfortably mid table? I’d worry that it was more like the 2012-2013 season where we narrowly avoided relegation and then that started the cycle every season of optimism, followed by management changes, disappointment, relegation dogfights, late survival, then the same again, then again, then again, then relegation, then relegation, then fucking shit.

Yeah but you're probably gonna win the league next year aren't you?

We’re going to do the big league and cup double. Check-a-trade and division 1. Wonder if it’s ever been done before.

Ali Dia's birthday today. I often wonder what might have happened to him if he had scored that once chance he got in the game he played.

Just want to place on record my eternal thanks to Croatia for absolutely battering us (England) in the World Cup Semi Final 2 years ago. It would’ve been a fantastic achievement for England to win the World Cup, and would’ve provided unlimited amounts of joy to the English general public.... and I can’t have that.

My favourite droughts in Sport are as follows in no particular order (because as we all know; Liverpool haven’t got any.)

Arsenal, Man City, Atletico Madrid and Spurs’ neverending and continuous permanent failure to ever win the Champions League

Everton winning fuck all for 25 years

Spurs and Arsenal not winning the league in ages, and the fact neither of them will ever win it ever again.

England’s 54 years of agonising hurt.

Brentford say Watkins is available for Ł25m. Villa bid Ł18m. Come on lads let's not fuck about.

Man Utd want Grealish, apparently offer a lowish bid and Sergio Romero as part of a swap.

    What a load of shite.

Mate, we get it. Don’t come back after all this time to just constantly post the same thing over and over in a slightly different manner. Just be normal.

By the looks of it not immediately. It might be a good thing for us after years of bad transfers and financial mismanagement. You’d think that with the size of our stadium and our facilities we’ll be honey to the younger talented lower league players and we might be able to rebuild properly.

No idea about Watmore, hopefully somewhere with a good physio. He’s still only 26, could genuinely still end up a world beater.

Anyone think Messi could end up at Man City? Would seem the most likely destination if he does leave you would think...

Still think he'll stay at Barcelona but if he were to leave I think City would be the most likely outcome over PSG or Inter at this point. I don't think there's anywhere else. The logistics of such a deal seem so difficult though, even if he insists he wants out and he forces a move. As I understand it, if they can't convince him to sign another contract he'd be free to leave at the end of next season?

Yeah, I think so. There isn't a lot they can do to stop him leaving if he wants at that point, so surely they would try and get a fee like Madrid did with Ronaldo.

Looks like a massive rebuilding job there, so if he wants to challenge (especially in Europe), he will need to leave.

Feel like if you're messi you are asking your da to talk to Victor font and xavi. What does their project look like next year and how does he fit in it?

I think they would be mad to give koeman too much cash right now as hes probably there a year.

Angelino would be decent. Garcia is needed and should be cheap enough. If you can get wijnaldum for 20-25m you're laughing.

I dont know if kante is available for real or not but moves like that would be huge. You then have to find a forward system that suits coutinho, greizman and dembele. If you need to 1 or 2 of them go and you hope suarez fancies a move. Fati is one you keep for sure.

For me this martinez talk is madness. Pjanjic one confused me too. Squad is honestly a mess but leveraging academy is better path for them especially if cash tight. Quite like riqui in midfield

Well Mings is in the squad and he wasn't even our best English centre back in 2020.

This feels like a personal issue for Southgate now. Winks, Dier, Ward-Prowse, even Kalvin Phillips is in and he said last time the main reason he didn't pick Grealish was because he didn't have PL experience

I thought it might have been because he broke lockdown rules, but Kyle Walker has been recalled so can't be that.

Sounds like Messi's people think the May clause should be extended to the end of the season whilst Barcelona are saying it's expired so it's 700m Euros or he's staying? Seen a tweet saying some directors have resigned. Perhaps Bartomeu will too and he'll end up staying when there's a new man in place.

I've always found Jim White to be quite a sad case, actually. How excited he gets on deadline day etc.

Really though, good for him. I suppose. Maybe I'm just jealous.

Sky have needed to freshen up their presenters for a while now. I actually found the trio to be quite insufferable, personally. Actually, Thompson was ok.

I like Richards, know little about Scott.

And actually, as bad as I thought the Sky lot were, they were still miles ahead of BT and Chris Sutton and Paul Ince. And does Pougatch still present for them?

    Love the meltdown on Twitter.

Alex Scott is great. Micah Richards is so joyful and loveable, but actually has insight too. Someone like Don Hutuchison who actually researches what he's talking about would satisfy the people who just want to see a white man while actually adding something. I'd have Rory Smith as well, not a footballer but provides great insight without being dry or boring. And he would annoy those right wingers because he's clever.

Gareth Barry retires today. An absolute great at Villa, and the all-time record PL appearances holder. One of my all-time favourites. Hope he comes back in a coaching capacity.

Scott Minto gone from Sky too.

Just saw the Gareth Barry news. A great servant for every club he was at.

Realistically he lost his job because he was shit at it. Most of the soccer saturday ones are pretty bad pundits. The midweek sessions without them all are just as good imo

Thiago signing for the Champions. To be honest it’s really easy supporting Liverpool because we always get what we want in the end. And ontop of that, everyone sees it’s all done the right way. So not only do we win.. we win the moral victory too, thus doubling the credibility of our achievements and our fun. Our marketing slogan is great; We are Liverpool: This Means More. And in my humble opinion, it’s true.

What an interesting season this is turning out to be. I’m really enjoying the season, enjoying all the matches and seeing how well everyone does. That’s what it’s all about at the end of the day. Seeing all the great players and teams, drama and excitement. Look It’s not about heroically beating all the people i don’t like, i’m in my mid thirties and i’m past that. it’s about the drama, fun, excitement and chaos of the marvellous Premier League. That’s what matters to me.

Only one game in so far, but was a very encouraging display against Fulham. Willian looked very good on his debut as did Gabriel. Hopefully we can use the Ł20m+ money we got for Martine and buy 1/2 midfielders.

I'm not sure we can buy both Partey and Aouar, if pushed I would prefer the latter as we really need some creativity in the midfield. We still need to shift some deadwood out, but I expect some of that to happen towards the end of the window. Sokratis, Kolasinac and Guendozi are probably the most likely to go and not be replaced.

Alisson Thiago and Henderson all out plus Ox and Matip too, disaster, Arsenal big favourites later now. I’d take a draw. We have absolutely no chance of winning. Well, all things must pass, we had a great run, a great run. Terrific run but the day of woe has finally arrived.. our LUCK has finally run out. All of it was simply luck and regrettably that luck has run out today. We’ll lose, now. I’ve made peace with it. If Arsenal don’t win this game then the embarrassment for them will be like nothing ever seen before. They’ve sinply now got to win, our entire team is out injured and no fans to help us. No home advantage anymore so it’s an even game with Arsenal massive favourites. I reiterate; Arsenal must win or the embarrassment, the humiliation if they don’t will be off the charts. Credit where credit’s due though, Arsenal have won, that’s certain so i won’t show any emotion when it happens i’ve already accepted the L. Can’t win em all especially when our luck which is the only reason we win so many matches has now gone.

Arsenal have to win, they must. If they don’t then oh my god the embarrassment. Even i’m cringing imagining it. Hopefully we can scrape a draw but not expecting it, no chance.

Handsome routine victory tonight. Good warm up for the tougher match against Aston Villa away this weekend. Thought we were excellent and dominated. Similar to Leicester yesterday who did us a favour, eliminating Man City from the Title Race so I can continue living a stress free existence on Easy Street. As soon as we get rid of Man City every season, it’s a wrap. So it’s nice to have sorted that out early again. Clean sailing now.

Arsenal did themselves no favours last night, playing out from the back against a team with a really high press. Luiz gets a lot of stick (fairly most of the time) but his long range passing is excellent, last night would have been much better if he had pinged some balls up the pitch, rather than everyone fannying about. I also think Auba would have scored at least 1 of the the 1 on 1s Lacazette missed.

Lol played well in what way mate? Honestly thought we dominated the game apart from maybe the 2 or 3 mild counter attacks you did. Sorry score could’ve been more.

Lacazette had 2 clear cut chances, he takes one of those its a different game. Likewise with Mane, he gets a red (as he should have done) its a different game. I thought we played fairly well, just unfortunate.

I think we have the right manager now, we just need to upgrade some personnel in defence and midfield. Easier said than done.

Thought we absolutely dominated Arsenal. Limiting 2 of the best strikers in the world to 3 chances in 90 minutes. Arsenal and former Everton captain Arteta looked visibly frustrated throughout, Tierney went down like he’d taken a punch from Mike Tyson to get Mane sent off but, lovely little quick VAR check and a yellow is rightly awarded, excellent VAR Stockley Park you beautiful men you. I’ve checked to see if Tierney is ok and thankfully he is. He takes a punch like a champ and he sold the move even better than The Rock. Good player too. Yes Salah skinned him for the equaliser but Mohammed Salah is the best player in the league, he skins everyone. In fairness our opposition are immune to Red Cards, so even if Mane had killed him, in not gonna say he should be sent off. Hell will freeze over before you hear those words come out my mouth.

Jota was brilliant and took his goal to bury Arsenal really well. No handball either, thanks again VAR!

One of Lacazette’s chances was offside, the other was a good save. We missed about 10 chances so the scoreline flatters Arsenal, statistics prove my statement true.

Chris I’m well aware leicester are top, they’re top because they beat Man city away. Which is great news for us so i don’t care. Us being top now means Man City got something against Leicester which wouldn’t be good news.

Aston Villa away will be harder. Villa Park was the pivotal game last season in the title race and the one i most enjoy watching back. Hoping to win to continue this good start.

Lol forgot about the handball for the 3rd goal, another decision that went Liverpool's way. Shows how desperate they were to beat us that they had to resort to all this. Guess I can't blame them after we beat them the last 2 times we played.

Hopefully Villa can put a dent in them and bring all these Liverpool fans back down to reality, one in particular

Hopefully Villa can put a dent in them and bring all these Liverpool fans back down to reality, one in particular
Weren't you and him warned about being utter boring dickheads or something?

My favourite bit was when Liverpool absolutely battered the team they played on monday, and heroically won 3-1 to stay on course for retaining the Premier League Title.

With the help of handballs and red cards not being given, of course.

Anyway, Ross Barkley at Villa eh? What do you think @The Rosk ?

Even though no cheating occurred and the world saw we won fair and square, absolutely battering the team we played in one of the all time dominant performances, I can honestly say in this particular instance I wouldn’t be arsed if we handballed it into the net 10 times in a 10-9 win. Devil’s Advocate; I’d probably enjoy it even more than I already did.

Been a very exciting season so far. All my enjoyment has been entirely because Liverpool won every match regardless off the opposition or how the game panned out, certainly no other more sinister reasons.

Yeah we were quite unlucky not to get something out of last season, and we are a better team now - so hopefully we can at least give you a good game. Obviously at 9/1 for both the win and the draw it is highly unlikely but we're playing well so far at least.

It came out of nowhere so I'm a bit shocked to be honest with you. Clearly a good player and we did need to strengthen the midfield with another quality body, so I'd assume he's in the mood to prove something this season with being so on/off at Chelsea for 2 years.

It was an incredible game last season, Villa choosing that day to play the game of their lives and the worst offside decision in history on Firmino’s armpit... which is still fucking bollocks, even the most bias person in the world can see Firmino is onside before the tit in the studio manipulated the lines. I think it’ll be a draw. Villa in good form, just signed Barkley and we’ve got a bunch of injuries/players out sick. I’m less confident about these sort of banana skin away games against the mid table/relegation clubs since Watford and Arsenal away last season. Injuries and Referees prevent us winning all 38 matches every season. It’s a myth we don’t get injuries, it’s simply Rival Fan rhetoric to pacify themselves we aren’t that good and only win because we don’t get injuries. I know that because i used to do the same sort of thing years ago when teams i hated were successful, even though in reality i knew it was horseshit.

LOL mid table teams. Pretty embarrassing that one beat you twice in two months then.

Not really fussed about tonights game, but would be funny to make it three in one year.

Be a triviality even if you win tonight, beat our 3rd String Team while you go 90% full strength playing the likes of Lacazette, Pepe etc. Means nothing if you win it’s the blasted Carabao Cup and nobody’s arsed. Be doing us a favour in fact.

Quite happy for Arsenal Fans to bang on about their only 2 wins against us in nearly 6 years... a 2-1 nothing match at home end of the season after we’d already won the League and a penalty shootout in a friendly after getting smashed for 80 minutes.

Every single one of us on here knows who won so we’ll leave it there.

    Yeah. We won

I know it stings you, hence you put it under your status when you beat us.

It stung me far more to remove Chelsea 4 Arsenal 1 from my status not because Arsenal lost, but because it was such a great match. I’m a neutral so I went into that Europa League Final just keen to see a good match. It didn’t disappoint; a hearty encounter with wonderful football on display in the fantastic city of Baku. What an occasion. I stood and applauded both teams at the final whistle, turned and said “well done Chelsea and Arsenal, i enjoyed that”. I enjoyed that fantastic game all summer along with our heroic CL Final victory over Spurs. All 4 of us can be proud for participating and it wasn’t a case of me enjoying the results because i felt both went my way or laughing hysterically at the results of both matches. Nothing sinister at all and i never once went online to gloat or laugh my head off or anything.

I don't expect Traore or Barkley will come straight into the XI for Liverpool. Would be a little much to rush Traore into a game against the champions and Barkley will have only had a couple of days to train with the group.

I'd expect it to be the same team that played Fulham, and if Hourihane is overwhelmed, then expect a Barkley/Traore for Trezeguet/Hourihane around 65 minutes.
