Just dropping in to let you know that, in the near future, I will be starting up an FM2007 version of the wonderfully successful Rajah Italia/La Liga/whatever that I ran some time ago. Going to do it a bit differently this time around, going to have a limited number of positions per squad and going to fill those positions out, rather than having 7 defenders, 11 midfielders and 30 strikers per team.

Consider this a heads up, sign ups should open in the next few hours and I will look to start the game after the first patch comes out

I was thinking back to cheat players of the past.... Fredy William Thompson and Wael Reyad have to be my favourites.

Using cheat players is pretty gay.

Seems pretty pointless to me to bother playing the game establishing a quality team with some random asylum seeker or whatever who's blatantly shit in real life scoring like a rapist over people you've actually heard of or who actually have that kind of IRL potential.

Of course, developing/poaching good youngsters is another matter... but cheat players just defy the point of playing the game to me. I would find no satisfaction in achieving anything with players like this bing character.

I just got my first win - inevitably against the league leaders Ipswich and without the injured Freddy Eastwood. Duncan Ferguson rolled back the years with a classic targetman's performance alongside young Gary Hooper.

In my set up, I have Ballack along with Mikel, Lampard, Garcia, Cole, Essien all vying for 3 spots in the centre of my midfield. Ballack can feck right off, along with Makelele who has played 2 games for me this season. Sheva is godly but I would rather not be paying half a million each month for him.

Superb. Playing as Chelsea, and rejected my first offer of feeder clubs because they were all crap. Asked again after a couple of weeks, and they came back with a Columbian team and a Japanese team.

The Japanese team was said as 'being a big benefit for merchandising and getting a foothold in Japan'. I have to pay them £2.3m a year, but I think it'll be worthwhile.
