They could just as easily be seen as opportunistic looking good picking a hot train looking good when they have flipped scum themselves in games recently. crackle at least could come up misguided but determined townie after last game. Yeah definitely more characters than players. Not unusual for Jarrod. Some characters may be grouped together like you said or just extra. I like the list and putting peoplebusters together and MGTM. Good candiates for single player being those characters. But then again maybe not.
Good to get a list together though in case people want to spreadsheet to help keep things together in their heads as we try to figure all of this out.
But yeah D1 banter aside, the uncertainty of whether this is immunity or a legit lynch day after the last game leaves me uncertain. Would rather stick with the status quo and hope we find out more about the set-up.

For me there is no info to go on at all so I would say unless you get lucky you are taking out a town. So why take out a town and then let scum take out another town night one before you really have a chance to even try to figure out who the scum are. So yes I can see the reasoning for just skipping to night one. I think because we end in no lynch a lot is why people started playing with immunity votes on day 1
People say nothing can be gained from d1. I think thats BS. Nothing can be gained if everyone fucks off all 48hrs and goes with NL. Talk to people, put pressure places, ask questions. The vast majority of the NL people have placed the vote and not interacted at all. While Im not saying NL isnt viable... if its going to be the default for the masses, why even start on D1.
I am not saying you can't gain anything from D1 from interacting. Kuti read Brad last game and that worked out. I would like to see people not just come in and say no lynch and then not doing anything but we can't seem to get much going this time around. I think just timing. Future and I were pretty busy today and Diva is feeling well and I know others said they wouldn't be around much to start. I think immunity or prize should be day 1 so people have something to work with and not just fuck around and vote no lynch. But I am not going to vote a lynch just off half ass reads on day one. I am not against starting with night actions as well to start gaining info.

I am just getting home, far too much driving today, and tomorrow I will be out doing my couponing stuff.
I don't trust Jarrod as having pure intentions on day one, because he could do any of the following with today's vote:
1. He could reveal that day 1 vote is yeeted. Traditional approach.
2. He could surprise us and make it that the leading vote gets immunity. But this has also been done, and recently.
I think Jarrod is playing with us and won't do either of these. He may instead
3. Give the leading vote getter a special prize. Perhaps an extra ability like a 1x hider role, an extra vote, a BPV, or even a day kill. Whatever it may be, from what I can tell from Jarrod, it probably comes with a catch.
4. As far as I can tell, he hasn't said what happens if everyone doesn't vote. Which makes me think he's going to randomly choose from among the non-voters (or maybe those and the sleep voters) and one of those is going to be killed.
I have nothing to back this up, it's just a hunch. I just have this fear of being killed early AGAIN. I try to think analytically because I really don't know how to read anyone - but I understand that those of you who have played a lot together will start to pick up on each other's styles as both town and as threats. That being said, I am starting to get a sense that Badger and Morrison both seem to be quieter when they are scum. But I know more than anyone how real life takes us away from posting as much as we might like. And with that, MTR or Future, please pass along best wishes for Diva's rapid recovery.
I don't want to see anyone killed on day 1, because I think it would be too easy for 1 or 2 faction players to pile on to someone. So while I hope Jarrod may be in a kinder mood and he picks option 2 or 3, I think the likelihood of a rajah style game ending in No Yeet day 1 would be something that Jarrod would be expecting. In my first game here, run by Jarrod, I was killed for voting no lynch on day 1. At the time, I seem to recall asking if I had simply not voted, would I have been killed, and h/e said no. Which is what makes me wonder if he's going to target all the D1 non-voters or sleepers.

Jarrod is known for prioritizing his bard tales. He likes to build in the surprise turn on votes (although not in all events).
He's not been known to punish severely punish non-voters.
And he hasn't punished no-lynchers. As a player, he always no lynches on d1
We've had more then one game start with a N0 action or 2... so you could still start with NAs and have a d1

Glad you understand my thought process. Foxxi is a strong player who is a huge help to town (when she's town), and she deserves a chance to actually play. I admit I don't get the self-imposed posting gimmicks, but I have the impression that's kind of been a running thing for her.
As for Jarrod not punishing non-lynchers, well, in my very first game here, run by Jarrod, I got killed Day 1 for leading the no-lynch train. Thankfully, I eventually got revived, but I don't know if we can expect this game to have revival powers.
What would happen if EVERYONE decided not to vote? Or if everyone decided to vote for one person that had no votes on them already. If everyone voted for the person whose name is directly above theirs, we'd have a 26-way tie. I figure Jarrod would have built in something for it, it would likely come down to a roll of the die. Which, statistically speaking, should favor town more than allowing scum to control a vote, which more likely gets a town killed.
Foxxi doesnt typically give self imposed posting gimmicks... The issue is when foxxi/vk/claws mod, they fuck with each other.

Doing a no-lynch day one is very boring. There's nothing to analyse later on in the game, which is my strength. It's how i form majority of my reads, can't do that if we have a bare bones day one. No one is trying this day, and i don't like it. So much more can be achieved if we actually put some candiates forward to lynch and forced discussion. Might be mmoc philosophy, but there's a reason so many of us hate no lynches day one, because our night actions aren't similar to Rajah games and its basically a second day one if no one gets lynched day one. When that happens the information that comes is so incredible slow the games interest tires out and ends up being a very low activity game start - finish.
This is just a gimmick foxxi self imposed. Don't get this wrong.

Some had no explanation but what was wrong with mine? I justified it by saying we don’t know know what type of day it is. The last Jarrod game we were unknowingly voting for immunity so this could be the same thing again. Most mods usually make it clear at the start but Jarrod in particular loves his twists and turns.
I get the whole argument about not lynching day one and also agree there are clashing philosophies. Our night actions info is typically heavier than seemingly most forums who keep night actions light.
In this case we don’t know what we’re voting for so personally that’s why I went down the middle.
