Sorry mate. But I can't see them losing so close to Sunday, even if they do rest a few. Very solid, boringly efficient team at home.

Yeah I must admit that I hadn't seen the team when I put the bet on.

I have faith in Nicky B.

Walcott, Bendtner, Rosicky and Wilshere are all pushing for starting places at the weekend so hopefully we get a lot of chances.

Nice start. Was really tempted to get on Walcott to score. 9/4 anytime I think the bet was.

Covered myself slightly by betting both teams score at 10/11 so if Arsenal slip up I'll get some cash back.

The FA Cup is always a nightmare with betting so I'm hoping that my Arsenal madness from midweek is behind me and I'm just just going for a load of favourites today.

    Port Vale
    AFC Wimbledon
    Brighton
    Colchester
    Notts Co
    Southampton
    Peterborough

    An accumulator and 21 fivefolds.

Also stuck the last £9.09 in my account on Bolton to beat Spurs (draw no bet) at 6/5.

I think 10/11 is very generous for QPR at home today. Reading are a decent team but more or less Evens is too good to turn down.

And Samba first goalscorer for Rovers @ 16/1 - the way we play for set-pieces etc it has to be worth a few quid.

I've got Bolton +0.5 goal handicap at just under Evens. Tired Spurs team with no VDV and Bolton are doing ok this season.

Blackpool are 3/1 at West Ham tomorrow. Good value I think. I've got a shade under those odds for Blackpool to win or draw with more than 2 goals in the game.

Bolton 19/10 at Wolves too. Bolton unlucky to not win at Everton in midweek and have been impressive lately.

    That Blackpool bet looks good.

I emptied my account at William Hill earlier. Put £10 on both Haye to win in the second and on him to win in the third (9/1 each), £1 on Harrison to win in the first 60 seconds (100/1), £5 on 'no goalscorer' in the Southend vs Accy Stanley game (there's never any goals when I bring mates to football who don't usually go) at 8/1 and the last £4 on an accumulator of Chelsea, Pompey, Sheff Weds, Plymouth & Wycombe at 25/1.

I was off work yesterday and was listening to H&J live at Cheltenham. Lost about £15 sticking a few quid on each of Paddy Power's tips. What a scam that was.

Wolves completely outplayed Arsenal midweek and were very unlucky not to get a result. Plus without Stephen Ward in the team the defence might look alright.

I like the look of that bet Beefy, gonna stick a few quid on that. I've been on an atrocious run of form with football bets recently, need to improve.

I've got Pompey and Bournemouth but Pompey are doing terribly.

Fulham are 10/3 in play betting to beat us and they are all over us.

Twice in two weeks that I've got ridiculously good odds on Bolton. I think Mr Ladbroke might be less generous in future weeks.

Got a new glory hunt going on at the moment. Laying 40/1 multiples on Betfair. Trying to make 5% profit a day. Started off with a ton, if I can keep it going for 188 days I'll be a millionaire, I think it's entirely possible seeing as how I've never won a 40/1 multiple in my entire life.

Tonight I had £4.07 riding on one of the following NOT to win: Norway, Italy, Holland, Spain and Estonia.

    After 10 days I have made £66

England WERE 23/10 to win in Brisbane. Now we're 9/4. I've just had £30 quid on it; I suggest all English patriots do the same.

We are better than Australia in all departments. We have had perfect preparation to their nightmarish situation. If not now, then when? Back the Queens side to come out firing in an atmos where the ball will swing and our entire side are all guns blazing.

Bookies are reading too much into history. If England lose in Brisbane I'll eat my hat.

p.s. I might come back on here fulltime JUST to talk to Pete Cash. I remember trolling the fuck out of MR TROLL on MSN once when STraussy claimed a dubious catch

We're gonna beat you, and beat you well son. No shame in losing to a better team.

13 days down and still going strong.

As long as ONE of the following doesn't happen today I'll have reached my two week target of £197:

    Everton, Getafe/Zaragoza draw, Colon, Ploiesti.

JIJing it up but I won 30 quid from a quid on Chelsea, Wigan and Brum to draw. Got a massive 2 quid accumulator on the European football tonight and took 40 quid out the roulette machine at the bookies this morning. Ooooh yeah.

Got 5 quid on Morison to score first in the Millwall game, 7/1 on Bet Fred's enhanced odds thing which has been good to me in recent weeks.

What's your accumulator on European football? it's always a bit of risk betting on the last round.

I did win £800, with a starting bet of £10 on blackjack a few weeks back, so can't complain too much

That looks alright, actually. Might get on it.

If you have a problem, then I am beyond repair. I normally do well over a season but this season I have been pathetic. It's been right hard to predict games this season, from the Prem to the Conference- a punter's nightmare.

Yeah there's been some dreadful results as far as betting goes. I'm down on football bets This season but I've made it up on boxing bets, the bookies games machines and the casino. God I do have a problem.

    UPDATE:

4 weeks into my 32 week plan to get to a million.

After every 4 weeks I'm withdrawing a quarter of my bank so if it goes tits up I still have something left.

Started with a ton and after 30 days I'm up to £327 having already withdrawn £98

I wouldn't be massively surprised if she won. She'll have Liverpool behind her entirely plus she's brilliant. I think she will come second.

So apparently Keane is gone from Ipswich tomorrow.

If anyone can find somewhere to bet on this, I'd be eternally grateful. (Unless he stays)

Hodgson is 6/5 to be next manager sacked. Surely he'll go this week.

The only problem is with West Ham having Wolves on saturday, Grant could go if he loses.

Saints look a good price at 6/4 if Blackpool are going to field a weakened team.

I've got quite a few of bets unsettled at the moment. Rangnick next Liverpool manager at 12/1. Dean Smith next Walsall manager at 6/1 which annoyingly has gone out to 10s now. Sam Allardyce next West Ham manager at 5/2 amongst others.

Blackpool at 7/2 vs WBA looks a decent bet, perhaps? Especially considering team news...

    - Gabriel Tamas is available to return to boost West Bromwich Albion's squad after serving a three-match ban but Jonas Olsson is out as he serves a one-match ban.
    - Olsson is unavailable after being sent off at Reading last weekend while striker Peter Odemwingie is struggling with an ankle injury and Pablo Ibanez and Ishmael Miller are battling hamstring problems.
    - Boss Roberto di Matteo is considering recalling Boaz Myhill in goals for Scott Carson while midfielder Steven Reid is out until the end of the month with a knee problem.
    - Midfielder Elliot Grandin is hoping to play his second game in four days after making a successful comeback from a hamstring injury against Liverpool in midweek.
    - David Carney remains unavailable away on international duty with Australia at the Asian Cup while Matt Gilks, Chris Basham, Billy Clarke (all knee), Marlon Harewood (hamstring) and Louis Almond (shoulder) are still on the injury list.

Its mine, I put it on the other day.

The 32 week plan lost, thought I'd already posted that update but I lost it on an NBA accumulator.

Definitely gonna be giving that another go though I didn't lose anything in the end and with a few tweaks it could be very successful

    Bit of help please.

    I placed this bet:

Event Selection Price E/W Terms Status
    Next Permanent Walsall Manager
    Manager Specials
Outright - Specials Dean Smith 6/1 Win only Unsettled

Today it's been announced that he has the job till the end of the season:

Dean, who has impressed since taking on the role in a caretaker capacity, will take charge of first-team affairs until the end of the season.

"We are really pleased to have Dean on board on a full-time basis," explained Chief Executive, Stefan Gamble. "The rest of the Board and I have been very impressed with how he has conducted himself since taking over the first-team reins and we are confident in his abilities as a manager.
Does this mean I'll have won the bet or do you think they'll argue that it's only till the end of the season and therefore not permanent?

I'm not too sure mate. They might say that he is not a permanent appointment but they will surely have to pay you if he is there at the beginning of next season. But I wouldn't want to wait that long though.

The club have said it's a full time appointment. I probably should have noted some t&cs when I placed it because this was always likely to happen.

I had a bet for the next Liverpool manager which is still 'unsettled' because Dalgleish is only till the end of the season. Different company mind.

Surely Alex has won that bet? The Club aren't advertising the position or actively seeking a manager anymore so the bet should be settled. Smith's contract is until the end of the season and if they don't keep him on then the book opens again.

It's the same situation with Dalglish

The bet is with Victor Chandler.

    Their t&cs are as such:

    1.1. Next Permanent Manager
Bets are settled on the “Next Permanent Manager” as announced by the club. The permanent manager must be awarded a contract of at least one year’s duration. Appointments as caretaker, interim or temporary do not count for this market.
I've just been on the live chat thing and the guy said he's going to get the traders to look into it and get back to me.

The terms and conditions do suggest they won't pay out. I did mention that he's in charge for 22 games and the chief executive himself has said it's a permanent appointment. We'll see I guess.

It's worth sending them an email if it was for a decent amount of money, or even just out of principle. If their wording is the same as the statement, ie permanent manager, you surely have a case.

I got really pissed off with Betfair a while ago. Dunno if anyone remembers but I won a massive bet on the UEFA Cup a while ago and they took about five days to pay out. Happy enough to take my money instantly but as soon as they have to pay out they become complete dickheads.

I had a small bet on Mowbray to be next Boro manager when Strachan got the boot and Ladbrokes have not long paid out for that. Very annoying.

Bilel Moshni is apparently 22/1 to score first for Southend tonight or 15/2 to score any time. Moshni is on paper a centre-half but if Barry Corr isn't fit to play (and I don't think he will be) then Moshni will start up front - which is where he scored from on Friday against Bury and by all accounts was unplayable up there.

Presuming those prices are still the same by the time I get home tonight I'll be having some money on that.

Even if he's at the back that's good odds as he's a massive threat from set pieces. But up front he had a 20 minute cameo against Bury and they couldn't deal with him at all. People down at the training ground this morning have confirmed that he's been up front in training today.

I'm going to stick £20 on it but obviously I'm a fan. If you can spare a fiver then the 'score anytime' would tempt me.
