I wouldn't say her role isn't missed. She was a true standout as an announcer/host, and her genuine personality was a breath of fresh air among WWE's cardboard cutout Michael Coles.
With Renee and Mauro both gone, WWE has an immense chasm of boring announcers now.
I wasn't a big fan of Renee at the booth BUT the fact it was simply a different voice was a breath of fresh air. She wasn't terrible in her other roles but I get that she has fans and people who miss her in that role.

You never know, because the independent contractor test has lots of room for interpretation (typically 20 evaluation points, with agency discretion on weighting although previous rulings are considered), but that would be a huge fucking risk for WWE. I really don't want think they want that fight.

Right now DOL's across the land are trying to unfuck their unemployment systems, and in many cases it's all hands on deck (they've pulled me from my normal DOL duties in the Veterans division to try to sort out Pandemic claims). Unless there's something new to add to previous suits brought against WWE, I don't see that fight making many waves in the near-term.

Black...What is there to get? Here's what works. People liked his entrance. It was very gothic. Undertaker can't monopolize the entire gothic market lol. Candles? Nope Taker had a candle once lol. His wrestling ability is very interesting. His look is different. I saw him spotlighted in the PWI 500 as Tommy End and thought "He'll make a name somewhere". That was literally based on a small write up and his picture being 1 of few that get shown.
I will say this....In no way shape or form could that guy be in Drew McIntyre's spot last year. Black doesn't have natural charisma. Every interview outside the WWE, every promo, it's all very "I'm not comfortable I just want to wrestle" vibe. Not everyone is going to be a top tier main eventer but I could see Black as someone who spends time in the main event. Maybe if he's forced into that spotlight he'll be more comfortable, maybe get him some shit with bands and movies that he's into but in terms of THE MAN, naw. We saw in Drew 15 years ago what we see now.

Lars reportedly no-showed WWE TV tapings before he was released.
Lars chalked the release up to WWE being nice about everything, and he was very complimentary of how the company handled his departure. He added that they released him with “compassion and honesty.”
Sullivan noted that he told WWE he was done with pro wrestling after battling crippling anxiety issues, to the point of struggling to eat during days where they were doing TV tapings. He also had trouble sleeping. Lars lost his father last year, which added to an already-tough year for him. He said he is his own worst enemy, and owned up to multiple issues that prevented him from gaining traction in what he described as his dream job.
Regarding his future, Sullivan also said he’s likely done with pro wrestling. He once again took responsibility for the issues that led to his departure, calling some of his actions “idiocy” and “his own selfish behavior.” Lars was also grateful for the experience with WWE.
Sullivan said he liked doing the promo segment and saw it as WWE trying to add more depth to his character. He revealed that he was given specific instructions to breath heavy through his nose, and use the verbiage that he did.

It sucks that these guys are in the prime of their careers yet WWE does nothing with them. At least Ricochet and Gable are on TV but man their potential is so much greater.
I know big man/small stereotypes have been relaxed over the coming years but unless you're a Rey Mysterio, I think that still holds true somewhat.
In Ricochet's case, he can't really promo. Gable could do more as an olympic wrestling badass if they really wanted to invest but they stic him with Otis who in turn was swept under the rung because they changed their minds on the MITB and even Tucker turning on him with no repercussions.
Plus Vince's sense of humour. Shorty Gable ffs, at least that is gone.

For me it comes to down they have way too many people in the company doing 2 things: wrestling and "writing". We don't need the bodies in the ring and in the creative room that we have now.
It's clear that the WWE can't handle it like they could in the 80's and 90's. It's not like Vince has way more people than he did in the 80's. His team, including himself, just can't keep up with the "universe" like they could when it was just a couple planets. They have way too much going on, not even just wrestling but EVERYTHING in the WWE.
Then you have creative...what the fuck. You're going to have 20 people when you used to have 3-4 and then they would all work with the talent. Now it's those 3-4 people, but then the talent has to go through 2 different sets of people before the final team gets to approve it with Vince. This is why WCW fucking failed creatively in the sense that they had way too many masters, most weren't even in WCW. It's just not necessary and it causes people to lost in the mix.
Some talent just doesn't belong, but WWE wants to hold on to them even if it hurts their own product. Yeah it sucked that Rusev left but you know what? Oh well. That opened up a spot for Matt Riddle. Andrade will be alright. It's sad he didn't get the kind of push he had the later part of his NXT run and I wasn't negative to his main roster run at all. But WWE can't employ everyone, it's not their responsibility to carry the pro wrestling torch forever.
