I'm ok with the main event result. If it's just to use as a cash in at the Saudi show, meh, they could've just had the match anyway. Credit to them for doing the unexpected, and I don't mean that they could've had Ali win.

Good point. I'll rephrase. I personally don't. I saw people actually walking out. That whole ending kinda pisses on the guys that killed themselves to entertain us for Lesnar to just walk in and take it. Forget "oh that's what heels do", that scenario sucked and on top of that people, from what I've seen on boards, were fed up with Lesnar. They were even getting tired of Heyman's schtick. He's kinda like Goldberg. Good for awhile, but go away.

Everyone who hated that ending can do one. The threat of an unseen Brock is unreal.

Okay. So...damn. I'm guessing he's going to sit on the contract for...what a good six months? No one wants to see Lesnar. Why does Vince think we want more Lesnar?
Add me to the Nobody' Club.

Hes the only guy who is set apart and on another level than the rest of the 50/50 roster.

Every single one of his matches is an event that gets everybody talking, whether it's positive to negative. Negative is what a heel is supposed to draw and Lesner is drawing reactions exactly in line with how he has been booked and booked rather like a .U-turn to get folks to stop cheering him last year vs Reigns.

Did you hear the reaction tonight for...AJ Styles for example? I didn't because there wasn't one at all. Shocking. So why don't folks complain nobody wants Styles around?

Or if you're talking about a move set, Finn Balor doesn't even have a wrestling move. He has a couple of armless stomps he uses while he smiles that smile.

Maybe Lesner should smile more. He looked great smiling on top of the ladder with that briefcase in hand tonight. Maybe people will like him more.

LOL Why are WWE ratings in the toilet? This garbage is money in the bank for AEW. At this rate, McMahon is going to turn his horrible reality TV circus into WCW. When he is done, the Khans will be able to buy it with spare change. That's pretty much what its worth. They can't even compete with Indy Wrestling with this garbage

Saw the results on the main page, my quick hits:

-loved the Bayley win, have been a fan for a while; thought her short lived heel turn showed a lot of promise
-good to see Kofi retain, hope he gets a lengthy reign, dropping it at Survivor Series to a heel Roman Reigns would work for me
-Rey going over makes no sense, surely they could have picked a better face option (lengthy Ricochet or short-term Miz/Braun runs) to take the strap if Joe’s stepping up for Seth
-how much worse can they fuck up Braun
-simply not seeing what the company sees in Lacey Evans
-Shane as a regular wrestler is a bad idea
-hope this AJ/Seth storyline continues through the Summer
-part-time Brock Lesnar can fuck right off

Brock Lesnar, wrestling genius. Got to love the big fella's plays at the negotiating table. For 5 years he's played with the UFC and WWE for leverage, not once had his star dimmed or his bargaining power harmed. Turns up when he wants, puts a shift in when he wants, and is a bigger star than anybody else because of it. He'll be retired to the mountains of Canada by the time he's 45, wealthy enough for his great grandkids to live comfortably. Fair fucks to him.

Yeah, as much as I hate Brock Lesnar's last couple years in WWE, I have to appreciate how much leverage he has waged against them. Not his fault WWE keeps paying him to show up 6 times a year. He won't retire to the mountains of Canada, he'll own those damn mountains.

He's just so fucking smart. He's lost what, 5 times since re-signing before WM31? Unpinned in that match; passes out in a submission against Undertaker after already tapping him, and got his win back later; taken for surprise by Goldberg, and got his win back; flash loss to Reigns after he'd created the stir in the UFC with Cormier a month prior; lost to Rollins in a moment overshadowed by Becky and Kofi, with the Cormier fight still on the table and that being the buzz. Genius.

Usually you don't know when the briefcase holder is going to cash in, now you don't know when he's going to show up to cash in. It's great.

He will probably cash in tonight.

If the rumor is true that he's facing Rollins @ the Saudi show, then I have no doubt he's going to come out and say he's cashing it in at that particular show.

Or they could have him cash in tonight and win the title but then lose the rematch to Rollins at the Saudi show.

I don't see Lesnar winning the title ever again. If he does then I will no doubt eat crow and jump on the bandwagon 100% that Vince has lost his damn mind. To build up Rollins that hard just to have him lose 2 months later to the same guy people honestly don't even tune in like they used to....That would be the biggest blunder in booking since Montreal.

Not sure I agree. If Rollins loses via surprise cash in and then beats him clean at the Saudi show it could work. I don't think they will do it but I wouldn't rule it out with the ratings dropping and them wanting to just do a little more crash style booking

The main reason that Brock was a poor choice to win has nothing to do with the man himself. It's that Vince doesn't seem to want to build new stars. That's what MITB is for. It feels like Vince is still in panic mode and sticking with what he know, i.e. keep Brock involved. It also says that he must not think much of the other guys in the match. This angle is so similar to when they put the Smackdown Women's Championship on Charlotte right before 'Mania. Vince cancelled the 4 Way for the #1 Contender because he didn't think the fans cared about any of the women in the match, and booked Charlotte vs Asuka out of the blue.

And now Rey may have an elbow injury. Joe's been injury free for a while. This is the best time to give him a lengthy title run. And what happened to Braun's issues with Joe?

I think it'll be a while until we see the cash-in. Every now and then Heyman will show up for a promo just so we get the visual of the opening riff of his song making the current champ shit their pants.

Bit late to the party. Overall, good show. Real happy with Bayley's win/cashi-in, probably the best thing of the night. Seth/AJ was real good but I expected better. Men's MITB had some fucking bonkers spots, particularly the sunset flip powerbomb holy crap. Felt like Ricochet didn't get a real defining spot. Really pleased with Ali in there, though, and that he damn near won the thing...kind of hoping the fact that Lesnar stole his win might lead to a match between them down the road where Ali gets the shocker win. Also, I get Lesnar winning and he makes a good looming threat but also, fuck Lensar.

Aj/seth was too indy until seth hit that superkick out of nowhere, then it was greatness

I think ricochet going through the ladder was an indicator of the type of gr eatnesss we'll be seeing from him. He's more ricky steamboat than shelton benjamin.

Kofi/owens was the beatdown (kofi in pink socks was. Embarrasssing) that i think theyre building joe/mysterio to be.

I didn't mind Leasner winning, it will make for an interesting period of anticipation between now and when he eventually cashes in.

    HOWEVER

I know it may be too much to ask but can we at least agree that in this fictional world we have all agreed to suspend disbelief in that the winner of matches has to be actually be competing in the FUCKING MATCH???

They could have had Sami taken out backstage, regardless of who was behind it, and then thrown Strowman out the building, but have Triple H, Shane scramble to find a replacement as it's supposed to be an 8-man match. Then have one of them say "I know just who to call" and then tease throughout the night that he's on his way. Only problem is, you'd have to explain what Lesnar was doing in Connecticut or wherever the PPV was. Perhaps in Stamford negotiating a new contract?

I agree. I think Heyman tried to explain the situation on Raw in one of his long winded (albeit great) promos he generally does. Still.....How many times have we had decisions reversed because the wrong guy was pinned? Seems that rule only applies in tag-team matches because I remember that time Edge attacked Kofi Kingston while Kofi was walking to the Elimination Chamber. Then magically Edge was in the match, and I think won it lol.

Seems like every MITB someone pitches the idea that someone not in the match should run down and snag the case. Good idea or not, they finally got what they wanted.
