It's always important to manage expectations, though. So many shows suffer from diminishing returns during subsequent seasons.
With that said, I'm assuming the fact they already have episode titles means the scripts are written for the most part. I think that's a good sign.
Hopefully it's better than season 1. Started out strong but went downhill with each episode, in my opinion.

Anyway, yeah, just so we're clear, I think it's a good show, just not as good as a lot of others, so rather than going into a second season with the bar already set so high, I've got it down a few pegs, so the second season for me, at least, has a good chance of being at least as good, if not better.
Yeah it's not a bad show, just don't see the praise it's getting.

Binged watched this show like no other a week or so ago. Loved it. I'm a huge fan of 80s movies so this made me happy. I'm a huge mark for Winona Ryder also so when I seen her name pop up I was pretty pumped. Loved the whole main cast actually. Hopper is probably my favorite character though.

Binge watched the whole of season one and two back to back over the last 3 days. It wasn't my intention but the show was good enough to have me hooked, to the point where I was up till 4am trying to get an extra episode in before bed. Loved it.
Just started this last night. I don't binge anything. It just doesn't work for me.
But I'll have this knocked out in a week. The best new show of 2016 may be the best show period of 2017.
I enjoyed season 1 but never quite understood the hype. I absolutely loved season 2.
Speaking for myself, I love supernatural thriller/horror movies (especially those retro style ones), so this was right up my alley. IT for example turned out to be one of my personal best horror movies of the last decade. I don't normally binge watch TV shows, at least not like this. But I've been off work lately, and also just enjoyed the show so much that the two seasons just flew by like they were nothing.

Wife and I binged through this over the past few days. Worth watching and entertaining enough but I'm not as high on it as most folks (I think I said that after season one, as well). Good characters, great musical score, nails the time period vibe, good amount of intrigue but also cliched, predictable, and a bit underwhelming in some regards, too. I'd say it's good, not great.
The first scene of the season should have been the last scene and episode 7 should have been an episode in season 3.
I'm two episodes in to the first season and I'm enjoying it so far, but I hate Wynona's scenes. She is coming off horribly annoying. Someone should tell her character to take a deep breath before she speaks.
Ah yeah, that reminds me, Wynona/her character are fucking unbearable. She is the worst part of this show, hands down.
I don't think its the character itself that's annoying. IMO its the way she play it that was unbearable at times. She becomes less annoying in the second season though.

Billy is my favorite character in season 2. I still have 3 episodes left to watch but I'm intrigued to find out who he is and why he's there.

Steve, Dustin and Hopper were by far the best characters this season.

I find it strange that I'm so fascinated by the Billy character.
I'm on the Winona Ryder bandwagon, think she's way more interesting than most of the other cast. Here's my rankings of favorite characters:

To be fair, it's not like his father didn't have a reason to be pissed. All he did was make his son (who lost his step sister for fuck's sake) cancel his date and find her. Yes his father seemed like an asshole with the way he went about it but if Billy didn't talk back and lose his sister then it wouldn't have happened.

Yeah can’t wait for next season and develop Billy and his dad further. Also Lucas and Max I was 50/50 on there storyline wasn’t feeling it at first. I wanted more Lucas & Dustin duo together.
sort of felt like Dustin deserved to get with Max, he seemed like he was more enthusiastic about her from the jump, more ambitious about getting her into their group. Lucas just happened to be the one to spill the beans to her first about everything from season 1. but I get why they let Lucas have her. Dustin's scenes at the dance were pulled off well because he's such a funny dork, couldn't have really done it the other way where Lucas was the odd man out.
Yeah true that dance scene with Dustin was quality.
Finished season 2 tonight. It lost me half-way through and I didn't go back to it for a week. Not that it wasn't good, but it just didn't have that momentum that the first season had where you wanted to see the next episode right away. It picked up again at the end, though the climax wasn't anything to write home about. The first season had Steve and Eleven saving the day in their respective circumstances which was perfect. The final shot seemed to suggest that nothing had really changed since the start of the season - rather it was just averted. But the dance scene was perfect.
I think most people felt that. But the way it played out surely means he'll eventually get with her in the end. Too early for it to happen now.
It feels to me like Nancy and Mike got hardly any lines of dialogue in the last half of Season Two. Anyone else?
Certain characters got downgraded this season. Mike. Nancy, Johnathen and Joyce seemed to be almost non-factors. I get Mike was brooding over Eleven, but Joyce should have been more vocal this season.
I thought Joyce played a big role. Also, there were a couple episodes that focused on Jon and Nancy. A little confused by your posted to be honest. Yes, Mike played a smaller role.
I'm with Pure Player here. 9 episodes. I felt Joyce and Nancy played huge roles.
