Match was fine. Heel Bayley is great. There was a kickass women's six-way only a couple nights later on NXT BUT WOMEN ARE ONLY GOOD FOR PORNOGRAFFY. I'm definitely starting to realize Jim's stupid opinions seem to greatly outnumber his decent ones.

Jim's flabby figure and penchant for silk turned me off to his opinions long ago.

That NXT women’s gauntlet and the six-woman ladder match were both killer. Because those matches were good and didn’t involve Tamina or Lacey Evans.

Corny was right. Just because one multiple women match is awesome doesn’t mean every multi-women match is great.

Lacey actually impressed me in that match. Looked better than I've ever seen her.

She's gotten better over the last 4-6 months.

Definitely. Initially I was skeptical of her just being a Vince pet project due to her having the look he liked but she's shown great improvement.

If they don't break Sasha and Bayley up, could see her getting the title next.

The sit-down interview she had with Renee to explain her face turn was way too late. It had a chance to resonate if it wasn’t like 2-3 months after the fact lol.

Should be pointed out Cornette said that Charlotte/Ripley and Becky/Shayna were two of the best matches on the show and nearly the only good things on the show.

He just doesn't like multiple person matches and doesn't much care for any of the women in the five way.

Triple H was on Graves' podcast:

The idea of Mania being held at the PC began being broached on the Tuesday/Wednesday where NXT held its last episode in front of a crowd at the PC. Triple H said that they should leave the production setup in tact in case things changed for prep for Smackdown and Vince agreed.

Triple H offered himself as a resource to help with production for a match that needed the most help, with different matches going on and potentially different settings. Vince said he would have Triple H work the Boneyard Match.
Triple H to Vince: "What's a Boneyard Match?"
    Vince: "I don't know. It's in a graveyard."
Triple H to Vince: "What do you want it be?"
Vince: "I don't know. Just make it good."

Michael Hayes was hesitant for the setting was actually going to work but Triple H insisted that this was the hand they were dealt and they had to make the best of it.

Triple H on the NXT staff when they heard they were going to be producing the match: "There was a lot of puckering going on." They were nervous to handle the responsibility but they clearly delivered.

The Ciampa/Gargano cinematic match was taped prior to any of the other cinematic matches were filmed but the last to hit to editing bay.

I was just pointing out that his favorite two matches from mania were women's matches because the only bit that ever makes it out from his podcasts are what he he doesn't like.

Much like how many people assume he hates AEW based on all the sruff that gets circulated about how much he hates Omega etc. Meanwhile he likes AEW far more than Raw or SD and loves Cody, Jericho, MJF (claims he must be his father), Jungle Boy and the Dinosaur guy, Darbie Allen, Brit Baker etc.

Marko Stunt is the perfect job guy for AEW.

Its impossible not to hate a heel who beats up somebody who looks like a Make-A-Wish kid. But there's no way Marko Stunt should be having anything resembling competitive matches with anyone in AEW that they want people to take seriously.

Sees them as hugely marketable. Not a huge fan of them as wrestlers. He just thinks their kind of act can sell merch and that being Luke Perry's son is worth a lot in the way of mainstream publicity.

What he hates is anyone Stunt's size having competitive matches with men three times their size unless they have Mysterio like ring skills. Which Marko does not.

Marko is definitely no Mysterio when it comes to ring skills, but if I'm willing to suspend disbelief a bit if I find the general premise entertaining and that's what he does for me. I can forget that realistically he'd be squashed in about 30 seconds in a real fight. Escapism.

Rey Mysterio also has a family legacy to fall back on, if anyone wanted to question what a guy the size of a 5-year old was doing in wrestling.

I doubt we're going to be seeing "Marko Stunt Jr" tearing up the ring somewhere in 20 years.

Just seen that the newest episode of Talk is Jericho is with Martha Hart. Fairly huge deal. Would have thought it's the first wrestling related thing she has done in the 21 years since Owen's death - ahead of next week's Dark Side of the Ring episode.

Interesting. I had heard comments attributed to her that she never wanted anything to do with wrestling. But its clear she must still follow what's going on, and know that Jericho is no longer associated with Vince McMahon in any way. So maybe coming on with him is another way to give Vince the finger. Give credit to Jericho for landing the interview. He's smart enough to know that he has to find a way to ask her a lot of the questions fans want to know, like why not let the fans have an opportunity to respect Owen in the Hall of Fame. But based on his prior interviews, I can see him asking her "So why did you agree to come talk with me now, after all this time..."

Among the other questions she will be asked is of course Did Randy Savage F Stephanie, and How big is Batista's dick?

I never thought I'd live to see the day Jim Cornette and Dana "Donald's Favorite" Brooke would have some sort of Twitter beef.

Hate to say it, but Dana could snap Jim in half like a particularly loudmouthed stick in person. But on Twitter, Jimbo's going to eviscerate her Real Doll looking ass.

In his defense, Dana does look fucking terrible. But he and Brian Last approach it the wrong way.

Yes there are far too many young women in the spotlight that have massive amounts of plastic surgery that they don't need and it makes them look like monsters. Dana is a good example of that. She came into NXT as one of the prettiest women I've ever seen. Now I can barely recognize her because her face is so hard and plasticky looking. So swollen and awful.

But why? Well some people, sadly, have very low self esteem. No matter how perfect they look they always think there is one more thing they can do to "fix" themselves. It is a mental disorder plain and simple. And its nothing new (MJ) and its horrible and sad.

You shouldn't attack a woman for having cosmetic surgery she doesn't need as if she's stupid. She's not. She's sick and needs help. Pity should be taken on them. They shouldn't be bad mouthed and made fun of on a podcast.

I will always be a Jim fan and I have no intentions of not listening to him going forward. His podcasts are my favorite. But his comments on Dana's botched face and Becky's pregnancy reek of just trying to stir the pot to get views on youtube and I'm sure they succeeded at that.

Cornette doesn't hate babies or plastic surgery.

He can't believe Becky would give up a spot like the one she has now, millions of dollars in potential money, all in the prime of her life and career to have a baby. Why not wait a few years, put a ton of money away, and then fade out into "normal" life, when there's somebody ready to pick up that spot and have a kid then?

Corny doesn't hate plastic surgery. But Dana Brooke looks like a Real Doll brought to life by an ancient voodoo curse. She's got tits big enough to play baseball on. She has a face even a mother would struggle to love. When she talks, her lips don't move. Everything about this woman is so fake, if you stuck her in some plastic and held a big piece of cardboard up behind her, you could sell her as a roadside attraction -- "The World's Biggest Action Figure". When she dies, she won't decompose, she'll biodegrade. If she died on the beach, whoever was there with her would be cited for littering.

And she doesn't have the in-ring skills to back it up. And she gets booked to be an idiot.

Cornette has all the rights in the world to make fun of her. She's awful.

A lot of people seem to think Becky has all the time in the world to have a kid. She's 33. No she does not. Even Jim, on the podcast, wondered aloud that she couldn't even be 30.

A lot of the big stars going forward are going to be women. Women get pregnant. This is something that collectively we're going to need to get used to.

    Poor AJ....(from Graves' pod)

    On his trade to Smackdown:
"It's moving to FOX and I think they're doing a good job, so I'm excited about that. Doing something different is good for me. I needed a change. Losing Gallows & Anderson really hurt me. Getting away from Raw helps me get over it -- I don't know if I'll get over it, but it helps change the atmosphere around me and to do something different. My whole time on Raw was basically with them. To get away from that and get to SmackDown, where I've had a lot of success, it's a good thing."

    On Gallows and Anderson departing:
"I brought their names to WWE and when they got released, I immediately felt responsible for them because I helped them get here and I wanted them to stay. I thought, if I hadn't encouraged them to stay maybe they wouldn't be behind right now. A lot of it fell on me and I felt like I let them down. I talked to them about this and I was just crushed. I'm the oldest and I didn't take care of them. That really bothered me. And it still does."

Good brother but an incredibly sad one, too.

Kevin Nash and Sean Oliver's podcast "KLIQ THIS" is set to debut Monday July 11th. These 2 are gold together. I suggest going on Youtube and watching some of their Kayfabe Commentaries episodes.

Sometimes too much can be a bad thing but it depends on how you do it. There are so many wrestling podcasts out there but honestly, for me, I prefer to have actual talent and/or people who were/are legit in the business than say a bunch of fans doing it. Which up until probably 4-5 years ago was the majority. Now we're getting some amazing talents and great personalities coming out and doing something special. You have the top tier like Austin, Jericho, Cornette, Prichard, Bischoff and Russo should probably get a nod as Russo's been doing it for a grip. But I'm loving Rene Dupree, Kurt Angle, Booker T, I'm just now checking out the one with Mickie Jamies, Victoria, and SoCal Val that's been going for about 2 years now.

Mick Foley's podcast is probably the best one of the new new. Rene Dupree, I dig his because he doesn't have the greatest quality but that's what makes it and he's from that era of guys that I think some people my age forget. That era where the UFC was really starting to become a player, TNA was growing, it wasn't just the WWE like it had been from 2001-2005/2006 dominating the ppv market. So he'll have guys like Maven, Charlie Haas, Victoria, Paul London, RVD,Gail Kim, and he has great stories about Japan.

My question is...who's next? Are we going to get the Triple H podcast next? That's what I'm waiting for. I think Triple H would make a fucking PHENOMENAL podcaster. Well spoken, he's a mark for the business, he's one of the biggest players in the backstage realm and has changed so much of the industry for the better (and worse depending on the situation). I'm just thinking about the random funny stories he could share.

I would definitely subscribe to a HHH podcast.

I feel Michaels would probably be a little too preachy.

Everyone who comes through NXT seems to love HBK, and he seems genuinely positive.

Plus, when someone gets that type of experience teaching and training it can take their ability to break things down for the novice to the next level.

    I think he'd have a great one.

The shoot interview he did way back in 1999-2000 is pretty incredible.

Jesse Ventura is a blowhard about literally everything he's ever done, but hearing him rant about how much he hates the people who stormed the Capitol on 1/6/21 to Chris Jericho, whose wife was there, was absolutely hilarious. Awkward as hell and you could practically feel Jericho seething because he didn't say much at all when Ventura was ranting.

The DDPY/Jake the Snake podcast is a good listen for the most part. Not every episode is worth listening to but most have been really good so far.

Right now my top 3 are Kliq This, Foley is Pod, and Cafe De Rene. Now Paul London is joining the crew on Rene Dupree's podcast.

It's so crazy how far we've come from the days of when it was just Piper, Austin, Jericho, and Cornette having the only podcasts to what we have now. And I love it.

Jesse Ventura is delusional I mean it would be great if he and Andrew Wang Yang could change the system but they're not going to be able to.

I subscribed to the Kevin Nash podcast, will definitely give it a shot this Summer as my hockey podcasts are in their off-season.

I just found out via the main page that William Regal has a podcast, it took me all of 30 seconds to hit that “Follow” button; he, given his extensive global career and legitimate tough guy status, will probably be a fascinating listen.

Stevie Ray's podcast, talking about the Harlem Heat feud over the name "Harlem Heat", Booker T losing the "T" in his name, using the "Leave It To Beaver" entrance music, and Big T/Ahmed Johnson forgetting "everything" in a bad pay-per-view match.

In his prime, Stevie Ray was like watching a couch try to wrestle. As a former wrestler on a podcast, he's a dude who's not afraid to tell the truth, shoot straight, and piss any number of people off. He's very good.

Yeah I was never a fan of Stevie Ray outside of Harlem Heat. I liked him at the booth and I like him doing the podcast he has a great voice for both. But yeah on his own...that weird TV title angle, the big push with nWo Hollywood that went nowhere. Shout out to WCW they at least tried with pretty much everyone. Even Jim Powers had a storyline once or twice.

Holy shit, Ludvig Borga might have been a historical footnote in the WWF, but his post-wrestling career in Finnish politics and his drug fueled insanity, complete with drunk driving, punching a guy at a hamburger stand, firing an illegal pistol, and stalking his ex-wife with an axe -- is fucking astounding. An incredible story, for all the wrong bad reasons.

My top wrestling podcasts (non-fan edition):

    Foley is POD (Mick Foley)
    Kliq This (Kevin Nash)
    Cafe De Rene (Rene Dupree)
Jim Cornette's Drive Thru (Jim Cornette)
Keepin' It 100 (Konnan and Disco Inferno)
Something To Wrestle With (Bruce Prichard)
    83 Weeks (Eric Bischoff)
GAW TV (SoCal Val, Mickie James, and Victoria)
DDP Snake Pit (DDP & Jake the Snake)

I'll admit a lot of these I watch on Youtube so maybe a few aren't really considered podcasts but these are my favorites.

I couldn’t get through the first “Kliq This” episode. Does it get better?

I'm not sure how you want me to answer that when obviously I enjoy the show or I wouldn't have mentioned it. "Does it get better?" Fuck if I know, I thought it was great right off the bat.
