Blowing a 24-point lead in roughly 10 minutes is less than ideal.

Nah, I still remember 35-3 at Buffalo ... great starts are great and all, but I have to see 00:00 on the scoreboard before I'll be convinced.

Can't get over going for a fake punt at 4th and 4 in your own territory, a possession after kicking a short field goal instead of going for it at 4th and 1. Game changing moments

Hey, maybe Jerry Jones will put Jimmy Johnson in their Ring of Honor now. Stupid he hasn't put him in there yet, but congrats and Johnson and Bill Cowher for getting in the Hall of Fame.

The NFL needs to keep announcing these inductions this way (having a shot of Troy Aikman crying in the booth was money). They're super real and emotional. Someone may have a stroke but that's just the risk you have to take, NFL.

21-10, still a game here. I don't really care who wins but I'd like to see a close ending so I'm rooting Hawks for the moment. Ultimately I'd probably be more interested to see Rodgers in the Super Bowl than either the Hawks or Niners.

Aaron Rodgers is still Aaron Rodgers. Monster plays in that final drive.

I'd say it was a push but if one was better than the other, I'd give it to Rodgers by the most thinnest of margins.

ESPN anticipated to at least double contract offer that Tony Romo currently receives.

Romo will make more than double. He's only making $3 or 4 million now. He will get over 10, I bet. CBS has the right to match any offer. I don't really care if he goes or stays, either way I'll hear him weekly or near weekly. There's speculation that MNF could be preferable since it won't interfere with his pro golf schedule.

I previously resisted the idea of Peyton Manning on the color commentary, but given how bad the ESPN booth turned out to be this year, he'd be a welcome upgrade over Booger. ESPN has to figure it out one way or another.

I know we had a few blowouts on paper this weekend but the games were still entertaining. That Chiefs/Texans game was wild. Going for a FG instead of a qb sneak or a run on 4th and inches was questionable. The fake punt was so dumb. like why would you do that after you were conservative on 4th and inches on their 20?

I am happy the Seahawks are out. Fuck Clowney and I think Carroll is a weasel. Can the Titans actually pull off the upset? I think the Chiefs offense might be too much but I am sure the Titans are going to dry and play ball control and not try to get in a shootout. Niners crushed the Packers earlier but usually the second time around ends up being much closer. I expect a tight one there.

I'd be happy with any form of San Fran versus Tennessee/Kansas City.

I do NOT want to see Green Bay in the Title Game.

is this because of entertainment factor or is there another reason?

I think GB vs KC would be the most interesting with name value and I think the super bowl would be legit 50/50 in terms of fans attending.

Tenn would be cool as an underdog story coming out of nowhere though. My bet is KC vs SF with Andy finally winning the big one.

In order of my preference it would go KC, TENN, SF, GB. I'd like to see Reid finally wins a Super Bowl.

In order of how likely I think it is, I think it goes KC, SF, GB, TENN.

KC / SF are my predictions

KC / GB would be the most compelling SB matchup IMO

Tenn / SF are who I’ll be rooting for

I don't like Green Bay, at all...

I also really enjoy watching San Fran.

The Chiefs would have been my second choice to represent the AFC so I couldn't be happier with the Championship game. NFC I want Rodgers in there, but see San Francisco as the strongest team left.

Wow. It's not surprising given his concussion history but still shocking for one of the best defenders in the league to retire in his prime. Hopefully he isn't too fucked up in the brain already. Good on him for retiring. Not good for the Panthers though.

His retirement vid plays like a eulogy. Really sad.

He's miserable walking away from the game. Glad though he's got a good enough head on his shoulders to want to keep a good head on his shoulders.

Man, he was all world at mlb.

Where the Titans really went off this season was against KC 8 games ago. Since then Derrick is averaging 6.33 ypc, 159 ypg. And, not shockingly, during that time the Titans are averaging 34 ppg...

Think we're gonna need 42 to win at KC though.

    Why is he a clown?

He wanted to throw some bills around. He didn't pay them to play the game, he rewarded them like a grandmother would reward a grandson who just graduated with honors. What's the difference? The 16 year-old child isn't put under investigation.

The NCAA is a joke. Ed O. and Dabo just got big bonus checks of $400,000+ and the NCAA is worried about a couple hundred-dollar bills landing in a kids hand.

I mean, I don't really see an issue. He just said, "This what you all did!" The speech was close to being over. I don't understand why everyone hates on OBJ so much? He is an emotional guy who plays with his heart on his sleeve and a burning desire to win. I would love to have him on my team.

He finds a way to open himself up to criticism a lot...like the whole boat thing prior to a four catch, 28 yard playoff performance. Not a good look.

And potentially creating a negative impact on the result of something that matters deeply to people lol. So lets say by a stroke of luck the Bengals had OBJ and they made the playoffs and he did this and they lost the game and he went 4/28, you'll say what you just said?

    I'd be pissed. LOL.

I feel you. I didn't have a comeback, to be fair.

As it results to the LSU situation, I don't feel he is in the wrong.

As it results to partying too hard and letting your teammates down, he was in the wrong.

When it comes to the LSU situation, I don't think it's a huge deal but I do think he was acting clownish. The money thing was a cool viral moment as intended. I liked the clip of him giving the players money. It makes him look cool and it's a middle finger to the NCAA system where the players don't get paid despite the championship game being watched by 25 million people. But... is that worth the headache it causes for LSU's athletic department? It's not like his handing out cash actually changes anything, it's just a stunt. So if there's now meetings between the players, admins and NCAA about making sure the players didn't keep the money, and blah blah blah... I doubt there will be penalties given but it will need to be reviewed... it just seems dumb to me to cause that hassle. The result probably should be that Odell isn't allowed on the field anymore.

And interrupting Coach O's locker room speech, idk it just seems like he should give the team their moment. I'm okay with him celebrating on the field with them and in the locker room too, but let the coach finish his damn speech. He made himself the center of attention because that's what he does.

And that isn't something to hate him over; he isn't doing devious shit like Antonio Brown. But it's fair to give him shit about it.

Hoping for the Packers against the mighty Titans, but my head says it will be Chiefs vs. Niners with San Fran winning the Lombardi. That's the most well balanced team in my eyes. It's playoff football though so it'll be about who can hold their bottle.

Green Bay's last loss came from San Fran. KC's last loss came from the Titans.

Somebody getting some revenge and a SB.

I feel like we have a shot to get AJ Brown going in this game and will probably need to at some point.

I predicted a victory over the pats.

I dreamed about a victory over the Ravens.

I am flat out afraid of KC. This is their super bowl to lose as far as I'm concerned. Henry and the O line have to be on like Donkey Kong once again. We need the secondary to come up big again as well. Logan or Byard need to snatch at least one away from Mahomeboy and take it to the house or at least shut down a scoring drive.

And we cannot turn the ball over. Any. At all. Ever. These Chiefs cannot be allowed an extra chance to score.

If the Titans are going to win it will be 31-28.

But I think we lose. 34-28.

The Ravens and Patriots were top 10 against the run this year and Henry ran riot. In those games though, we managed to avoid getting in a hole. 6 points at worst against the Patriots, always leading against the Ravens. That's basically the game, isn't it. If we can nudge ahead, we can stay ahead with pounding the football, winning the possession game and keeping it within a touchdown going into the final quarter, with their D tiring from the punishment big Derrick puts on them. Get a lead, get a stop, drain the clock then punt it inside the 5 and keep the backfield covered.

And I'll say this for certain. If we get up 24 - 0, KC wont be making a comeback. Running teams are built to hold leads by controlling the clock and that's what we'll do.

But thats not going to happen twice in a row. We have to come out blazing on both sides of the ball in the 1st quarter.

If we dont then I'm not sure there is a path to winning.

Going into Wild Card weekend, I thought it was too much of an ask for New England to beat Tennessee, Kansas City, and Baltimore in order to make the playoffs. Especially with the last two being road games. Flipping in Tennessee, I think it's too much of an ask to do all three and do so on the road.

Irrelevant at this point tho isn’t it. Winning those last 2 games on the road only helps their chances vs KC. And KC is historically vulnerable at home in the playoffs, having lost 7 of their last 9 or something like that.

I don't really see how it's irrelevant because the team winning on Wild Card weekend was going to have to beat two better teams after the fact. That's a tough task. The extra game can also wear on you, especially if you're a physically imposing team like Tennessee. I'm willing to take the road element out of the equation for the sake of your point. I'll play along though I still think it's factor... but that still leaves the extra wear and tear. And Tennessee has played one way to win both games. I say that loosely but it's heavily impacted by one style of attack on offense. If they have to deviate, that's asking more of them.

Yeah, and he really hasn't done much in the last two weeks. Neither has the kicker. And they haven't been in the championship game.

Ryan hasnt been asked to do very much in the last two games but he's certainly come through when needed. And I'm less afraid of this defensive secondary than I was in the last two games.

I don't think this game is going to be about which offense can get loose. They both will. It's going to be about turnovers, goal line stands and t.o.p.

I do think that last factor is fairly disposable, considering how potent KC can be. Even if you wanted to take the reverse angle, that was dominated by KC in the first game and they still lost, so I don't think that will be a key cog. I'd be willing to swap that for special teams and the flags. KC is dangerous in that category and TEN hasn't been asked to do much there yet. If KC can be negated there and TEN adds crucial points there, that will be big.

A penalty is what ultimately killed KC last year in the title game, so both teams need to avoid giving free yards that way.

Well I don't really mean KC has to control t.o.p. to win.

But we sure as fuck had better. If KC has the ball for 40 minutes it will be a blowout.

I know the variables will be significantly different but...
KC had it for 37:52 in the first matchup and lost.

just let mahomes throw a TD to Hill on the first play of every drive if you want to control the TOP. easy.

Yeah but I think anyone who watched that game knows who deserved to win. We can't count on blocking field goals at the last second to win. But who knows?

This is why I'm afraid of this team.

We can do everything just right. Play our game to a T. Get Henry 200 yards, control top and STILL lose by 20.

It's all good, homie. There was a moment in the game just after hitting 24-0 when my son text me about how crazy this was and right there it occurred to me and I responded to him that ya it was rad and all but there were a lot of drops from KC and the TO's and special teams stuff was not exactly sustainable ... and then the wheels fell off, exploded, and contaminated the town. It actually wasn't even all that big a shock is all.

And DW does deserve better, but it ain't happenin. O'Brien has done a machiavellian job of consolidating power and ensuring that it would take a supreme court ruling to oust him from czar of houston pro football ... that or an owner with a bit more than a jellyfish spine. But that owner don't operate here, motherfucker.

So, in as car wreck a way as can be ... in O'Brien we trust ... aannddd ... yech, right in my mouth. Or may Deshaun just pull enough rabbits out of a hat in a row.

    For fuck fucking sake.

    Good luck tomorrow bud.

We will certainly need it perc.

Also I think the national media is starting to catch on to what's going on in Texas. I think they'll be waiting on his first big mistake next season to completely jump his shit. Maybe that can get the ball rolling.

Penalties...like I said. Can't give either team free yards and that definitely worked against KC on that touchdown drive.

Jesus. One long drive by KC and Titan players are already rattled. Yeah. Thats gonna happen in this game guys. Calm the fuck down.

If the Titans aren't getting there on Mahomes, they're screwed. Secondary isn't doing anything to suggest they're a threat to the outside threats for KC.

If they go down the field in the first drive it's over. Down 7 wouldn't be terrible at all at that point. Mahomes is just a freak though, if he doesn't have bad milk at half time he looks impossible to stop marching down the field for a TD.

really good half. seems unlikely the titans will be able to contain the chiefs offense going forward. titans badly need a defensive stop on the opening drive of the 2nd half to prevent this from getting out of hand.

The defenses have adjusted. Who will figure it out first?

Btw. Down by only one score in the second half? Still doing the running man.

I haven't really seen an adjustment by Tennessee. If so, it hasn't worked.

Opening drive. It worked then. Basically they're trying to disguise man coverage into zone and did a good job at first. Problem is Mahomes can just say fuck it and run and we can't stop him.

I'll be rooting so hard for Andy in the SB. Such a good coach. Maximizes his qb no matter who plays for him. He deserves to get a ring.

At this point, I can't see a stop, need a 3 and out badly after a big takedown drive. Not impossible but... yeah.

Its a talk show. Dont let it hurt your feelings buddy.

Well I'll say this about the game. I think we fell in love with the chance to pass the ball today and it cost us. I dont care if they were occasionally stopping Henry. Perfect game by KC.

This super bowl is going to be great if Green Bay makes it. Boring if its SF.
