I thought Seth was McIntyre when he entered the ring. They looked exactly the same.
Seth needs to take his showers after he wrestles .. the wet look is taken by Reigns and Drew. He looks good with dry, flowy hair a la Jesus...

Regal was present on TV last night, Triple H wasn't. If you're catering to a new audience on Raw and Smackdown, you're going to use Triple H.

NXT has closed the gap with AEW since this "invasion" thing has started. And this week, they won. Good for them.

But what happens when Survivor Series is over and the interbrand stuff calms down? NXT can't keep hot-shotting forever.

Good to see NXT pick up but I hope they don't focus too much on chasing the ratings with main roster talent going forwards. It makes sense ahead of Survivor Series and they may well have gained some more viewers from the last couple of weeks that might stick with it, but the show could suffer if they start to rely on it too much

I know they'll feel they need to win the ratings war but as a viewer I think they've done a great job since moving to a longer show - they've managed to keep establishing newer talent which is what NXT has always been about, there are lots of potential feuds for the main titles and the women's division is superb. The tag team division needs work - there's not much there beyond Undisputed Era, I'm sure they'll start to build Imperium more but they need a strong face team - maybe bring in Moustache Mountain for a longer run

As for this week, Undisputed Era/Revival was excellent! Looking forward to Takeover

Very curious to see who the final guy on the men's team is. Lots of rumors/possiblities with Gargano, Velveteen Dream, have even heard HHH or HBK. I'm going to suggest Kevin Owens given the confrontation with Trips on RAW and from what I've heard, he's been absent from the brand brawls?

Going to be at Takeover tonight! I'm pretty hyped. The card isn't really super thrilling from a build standpoint, but I'm expecting it to be a dope time regardless.

My guess it's Dream, with an outside shot of it being Owens.

Mia Yim apparently attacked offscreen and backstage prior to the preshow. A replacement is needed, and the Women's WarGames match will start the show.

Another creative finish. Dain finally got burned after trying to use one of his opponents as a weapon.

Judging by the redness, both of those guys are going to feel that one and then some tomorrow. That was way more physical than I thought it was going to be. Good one.

im loving this match. feels like one of the great wcw wargames matches that were worked as wrestling matches around the rhythm of the new entrances, rather than the recent nxt wargames which were just a slightly different format for the usual WWE weapons brawl stunt matches.

Doesn't make sense unless KO decides to betray Raw tomorrow but it makes sense due to the fact UE beat him up Monday.

    Takeover delivered again.

Women's WarGames won the night for me. That was the culmination of the great connective storylines they've had over the last couple of months within that division. From the opening match on USA for NXT to this match...great stuff. Heck of a story to deliver the turn by Dakota Kai and still have Rhea Ripley look dominant in the end. She squared off with Becky Wednesday, pinned Charlotte Friday, and won WarGames Saturday and still has tomorrow.

Feel for Dunne, Dain, and Priest a little because they had to have a heck of a match for a deflated crowd for part of their time out there. I like how as the match went on Mauro said that whatever advantage the winner was going to have over Cole tomorrow was weakening due to them really beating each other up.

It's kind of fun if Riddle is further adding to the troll of Goldberg by having the spear and jackhammer clearly not lead to a finish in his matches lol. The right guy won and should lead to a fun match between Bálor and Gargano.

Adding Owens to NXT just makes that top of the card absolutely stacked. Next Takeover is interestingly enough not until February and on a Sunday. That means USA is going to get a lot of good stuff between now and then.

Hell of a night. It was definitely one of those events that might have have been better to watch at home, but the experience was tight. Being on the side across from the entrance, War Games entrances were kind of ruined, but other than that, the view was perfect. Third row behind the floor seats. Seeing that Celtic Cross in person was jaw-dropping. Best finish to an NXT WarGames match so far for my money.

Women's match definitely had the best story going through it. A lot of good moments, excellent moment of triumph for Rhea Ripley, and all of the heel girls looked great. Io and Bianca in particular really got their shit in. Io is amazing, and it was very clear that she probably had the absolute most crowd support, other than maybe Ripley. The Dakota turn was well played, and also made for a more compelling finish.

I need to go back and rewatch the triple threat, because the match was feeling a bit like a dud before we made a snack/bathroom break to not miss Finn/Riddle. I love Dunne and Dain, but I still can't fully get into Damian Priest, and I don't know why. Ever since his days as Punishment Martinez, he's this dude who's pretty good at wrestling, but not enough to grab me. So the rest of the crowd not caring made it kind of hard to get into. Sounds like it picked up toward the end from the crowd noise, though, and the posts in here made it sound like I was missing something.

Finn/Balor was badass. Finn has a lot more feeling in his movements, and Riddle worked a great style with him. I'm loving that Finn is using the Bloody Sunday as a finish now. Not a lot to say other than awesome.

Main event ended up being my favorite WarGames, I think. It felt like a stronger opening stretch, and greater crowd reaction. I think TUE as a whole and the individual personalities of Ciampa's team are more over, allowing the crowd to be drawn in deeper. Keith Lee was over massively, aside from the obvious Adam Cole and Tommaso Ciampa. I absolutely lost my shit for the KO reveal. I think that did my throat in. Awesome choice, and I hope it's a permanent brand switch. The trio of table spots was a dope finish, and I love that the majority of the match wasn't hardcore.

Excellent time. I think I would prefer more singles matches going forward, especially for such short events like Takeovers. But overall it was awesome, and very much worth being the first WarGames experience.

Jesus fuck, what a show that was.

Women's WarGames delivered and then some. Holy shit. I had suspected a Kai turn a couple weeks ago and it slipped my mind once she was added here so my god, that was SUCH a great turn, she just went ape-shit. Once it was officially two on four I was really hooked on wondering how things would play out. So many great spots, too many to list. Rhea is queen badass. I really hope she's sole survivor tomorrow 'cuz she's a goddamn star (Bianca and Io also have boatloads of potential). NXT's women's division is absolute white-hot fire.

Triple threat was non-stop action. All three guys went full tilt and it exceeded my expectations. Priest is really starting to impress me in-ring even if I'm not fully on board with his weird character. Dunne winning was not a shock but it was a damn good ride getting there.

I thought Riddle vs. Balor was the weakest match of the night. It was solid enough but I guess i expected more of a difference in heel Balor. Still good, though.

Self high five for picking KO as the fourth man. Match delivered. I expected Lee to come off the top of the cage going into it but I'll take that fucking RIDICULOUS finishing bump instead. Wow. Really liked all the UE guys going through the tables to close it out.

Really rooting for NXT to sweep Survivor Series. They deserve it.

Wish I would’ve known, I was in the same area.

Outstanding night. War Game matches were both incredible in their own right and I really liked the triple threat a lot. Was a bit disappointed by Finn/Riddle. Maybe I need to rewatch,

hot crowd, insane stuff. Really fun Takeover experience.

    According to Triple H...

    - Everyone made it through Takeover unscathed for the most part.
    - Shawn Michaels will announce the men's NXT team on the kickoff show tomorrow. Part of the reason for not announcing a team was waiting for Takeover to complete and ensure everyone made it through without any injuries. Rhea Ripley announced that Candice LeRae, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, and Toni Storm will join her as the women's NXT team.
    - He hasn't had any conversations with CM Punk and reiterated that his was hired by Fox. Triple H made a note to Sam Roberts on the preshow not to tease the idea of Punk being Ciampa's mystery partner so no anticipation could be built.
    - Open to the idea of Goldberg and Riddle having a match, but that's entirely up to Goldberg.
    - Triple H left it ambiguous on what Kevin Owens will do at Survivor Series.
    - He was holding his breath during the final spot in the main event. He did sign off on them doing that move but he did note that there were sequences that we clearly didn't see that they wanted to do in the match but he vetoed those.
    - The Dakota Kai turn was one of the things they used as a storyline that they developed once they established they wanted to do the women's WarGames match so the turn was planned well in advance.
    - NXT commentary will be represented in matches where NXT is present at Survivor Series.
    - Reiterated that he has talent on the main roster constantly getting in his ear and mentioning that they are always open to doing a run for NXT or NXT UK. Says that's a testament to the talent and the audience. The Revival, who had been getting in his ear constantly, immediately said yes when he broached the idea of the tag match with Undisputed Era. They were also thankful that the match was given the time it was given.
    - Said that the director picked out Britt Baker as they were looking for a stunned reaction in the crowd. Triple H didn't have a problem with her being on screen but felt bad for putting her in that position where there is any instance where she could get heat for being there. He continued by saying she's got a great thing going, he's happy for her, and doesn't want this to be something that interferes with what she's doing.

I just noticed that Kevin Owens was wearing his original NXT shirt and his titantron video was his original from NXT too. Nice little touch.

I’m just getting on the nxt bandwagon. Started watching it when they went live on USA. All I have to say is, holy fuckballs!! What an amazing night of wrestling that was! I’m not sure SS can come close to topping that.

Absolutely fantastic show. Women's War game match was one of my favorites of the year. But every match delivered.

Damn stoked to have a Takeover in Portland in Feb. Moved around a lot, and Portland has one of the best crowds I've been in.

I'm not really near Portland but I'm seriously considering going to this one. Takeovers feel like a must-see, especially in the building.

Excellent show - loved both War Games matches but I thought the women stole the show. Rhea established as Shayna's biggest threat to date, and Dakota Kai's turn was great. I was impressed by Kay Lee Ray too - she took some big bumps throughout

Yeah, really they have all delivered. With a few months to build it should be great.

And you can hit up an outstanding food truck scene in Portland.

NXT is the reason I still have the Network. Holy shit that was a great show.

Dakota Kai, my Lord. That was so, so bloody good. She went batshit mental. And I just bloody love Rhea Ripley. So, so good was that match too. That division they have on NXT is something else.

Middle two matches were really good too. Love me some Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle.

Men's War Games was loads of fun also. And wrestling can still make me gasp in 2019. That final bump. Holy crap.

And at 2 and a half hours, it's just a perfect little package.

Looking forward to Survivor Series tonight. I'm spoiler free, so far.

Men's wargames was by far the best match to me. Yes the women's match had a great story and the faces overcoming but overall the men's match delivered story and match and ending.

All matches delivered ! Balor vs Riddle was good for a 14 minute match but I think they could have done more. Triple threat was non stop action but could probably shave like 3-4 minutes off. It went a little long at the end.

I hate to sound like a Jim Cornette-type, I won't say anybody on NXT is tough enough to strap a box of donuts to their ass and survive a slow jog through a Weight Watchers clinic or anything like that. But I do need to say, The Wargames match, the men's especially, could've used some blood. The work was great, but with all the violence and plunder, somebody really could have been busted open and it would've added a ton to the match. I get that WWE TV is TV-PG, but maybe they could get a little more violent and risque when they're airing exclusively on The Network, since they own the platform.

Prefer it when it happens naturally. Yim in the Ladder Match a couple weeks ago, for example, became something else because she got busted open but it was organic and legit which means so much more than bladejobs for the sake of color. Exploded tables were good enough for me in the WarGames match.

They should test then. Accidental bleeding is a way of life in wrestling, so they should do that anyway. As long as everyone tests clean, they should be able to get some juice every now and then.

Mauro Ranallo won't be at NXT tonight.

Graves issued an apology to start his podcast this week. “Before we go any further, on a personal note I need to address something. This past Saturday during the TakeOver: WarGames event, I sent out a tweet. It was an unpopular opinion, as I often do, with the intention of just stirring up a little controversy, maybe have something fun to talk about on TV or maybe here on the show. It was maybe not the most professional way to go about things and it was never meant to offend or disrespect or disparage anybody. That was never my intention. If it was taken as such, I apologize deeply. That was not my intention. I would never intentionally cause anybody any undue stress, especially a co-worker, so, I apologize.”

That's my issue with Twitter and social media in general, people just say shit to stir things up, with no real harm intended, but it does cause harm. Think before you hit the submit button.

I hope we see Mauro back soon.

    Tozawa vs. Rush was fire.
    Glad Blaor isn't joining UE.
Love that the women's scene has another strong angle outside of the title picture.

exactly. he no doubt gets bombarded with shit on twitter and instagram on a daily basis and isnt deleting those every other day, so saying every negative comment drives him off the deep end is stupid.

In terms of momentum and being over, where does Rhea fit in all of WWE? It's got to be awfully high.

One thing I took note of was her pop was just as big, if not bigger, the second time she went out there.

She probably got the biggest pop out of everyone in the women's Survivor Series match and was getting chants there, too, so that's gotta factor in as far as outside of Full Sail is concerned. Pretty sure she was getting strong stuff on the non-NXT shows leading into SS, as well.

Tom Phillips is just a natural as a lead commentator but I definitely missed Mauro.

Good to see Bálor is being portrayed as he should - he's just about himself, and he just going to be about his own agenda.

Hope Fish isn't out a long time. It looked like he was definitely a step behind after being tossed outside. Good on them being able to adapt and have Strong step in.

I would say Corey should know better than the general masses being Mauro is a work colleague and there are no doubt policies in place about what you can and can’t say on Twitter regarding your colleagues and the business in general. However Corey comes across as being a massive passive aggressive twat here and he seems always one of the first to stick his oar in on social media even if it the topic is nothing to do with him.

I won’t go far as to say he’s JBL bullying bad but really should think about what he posts before he does instead of just a witty quip to try and get himself over as a laugh at the expense of others. Especially given Mauro’s m natal illness.

I was a big fan of Graves but shit like this puts me off him.

By a show of hands how many of you actually saw the tweet?

Mauro...love the guy and have for damn near 15 years. But if that tweet sent him on an emotional downward spiral then he needs to bounce and be somewhere that he can handle mentally.

If a fucking HEEL comes at you and it's a fucking work, you need to have a clue as to what industry you are in. You Can't be triggered so easily you have to be intelligent enough to know this ain't Candyland and even Candyland is fuckin brutal.

Agreed. I love Mauro, but he needs to harden the fuck up.

And it's not like he needs to be this super hard dude that doesn't let shit bother him at all no matter what. But come on, if that tweet was the cause, then that's just crazy to me. Because if that triggered him, there's no way he's not seeing the negative comments toward how he looks, how he sounds, etc. I don't buy the whole "It's worse when it's a co-worker" The fuck it is. They don't even see each other so it's not like JBL and Mauro where JBL was not only fucking with Mauro on camera but behind the scenes in typical JBL fashion.

But if the idea is that Mauro can't be touched, then that's going to make for a long tenure in the company. Imagine being Nigel and not being able to have any kind of banter with Mauro in case Mauro flips out and leaves. That would suck. And Mauro is a great commentator, a little heavy on the rap analogies when talking about black talent but whatever works lol.

I was watching Pride Shockwave 2003 and Mauro's about 24 at the time....There's no doubt this dude has had some type of hair transplant surgery. He was 6 days away from being Hulk Hogan in 2003 and now he's looking sweet.

Or, alternatively, Mauro could continue to work somewhere that understands and is patient with someone who suffers from a mental illness and take breaks as needed to deal with it like he currently is and we could not be insensitive jerks who demand he "harden up or bounce" just because he's gone for a couple of shows. Maybe y'all didn't watch Bipolar Rock 'n' Roller?

It's not insensitive whatsoever to say this business isn't for you. Are we being somewhat dicks about it? Sure. But personally I don't think an entire company, or the business for that matter, should cater to one specific person's specific needs when you don't know what, when, where, why, or how something will set him off and how he'll react.

For all we know, what Corey said had zero to do with Mauro being out. He apparently said prior to any tweets that he was having some issues, whether Corey Graves knew this or not is up for debate. But for the sake of what the rumor mill has put out there.....Maybe the pro wrestling business and what comes with it is not for Mauro Ranallo.

Sorry, if a tweet... a Twitter tweet sends you into seclusion in the west wing, then you need to harden up. Mental illness or not, it's vital when you're in a business of fictional personas.

There's merit to this, but I still think you don't necessarily expect that commentary from a co-worker. I won't pretend to know if he's had instances where he missed boxing calls or MMA calls due to having to step aside. I do know this has happened twice though within WWE and that's not ideal...especially if the absences in other sports are at zero.
