Linda needs to "buy" it ala Shane McMahon 2001. Steph/Mick v Shane/DB v Linda/Dixie. They can use Full Sail and put Impact on the Network on Thursday nights haha.

(in no way does any of this need to happen)

Today's the deadline. Did someone buy this thing? Is Bound For Glory still on? Did someone finally put Dixie in crate and leave her in the same warehouse they put the Arc of the Covenant in?

According to Dixie's tweets, we're supposed to expect something big coming soon.

I haven't watched TNA for years until recently, the last 2-3 shows or something. Is Braam still around? Haven't seen him yet.

He was kidnapped by the Decay. I expect him to join him and possibly interfere in the Great War on Sunday

Hate that Drew isn't cleared, maybe they are able to pull something off and he still competes. I'm sure him and Rex would have a pretty fun match.

If Drew can't show, just do Cody/Rex. Fuck it, why even bother wasting Cody in a 10-man match anyway?

As of right now, Eddie Edwards is taking on Rex. They went with logic since Drew beat Edwards to advance to the finals.

My guess Cody comes out and Bennett gets distracted when he loses to Moose to kick off that rivalry. If they're smart, they let him fight 1 of Everett/Lee with the other fighting DJZ

Odd (as always) tweets from Matt Hardy, seems to be hinting he's off to Raw, HHH was sending out feelers according to rumours but I can't see them letting him have as much control as he'd been enjoying in TNA.

Broken Matt vs Bray would be one of the most interesting promo wars in a while though...

I would like to think Matt is trolling and he means Monday he'll be at the Zone of Impact for IMPACT tapings.

Man, moose is awesome and TNA has some pretty cool ideas but if they had wwe's money think about how cool that entrance would ACTUALLY be if it was a NFL team or even college league.

Best thing is that Moose owns that music and made it himself or along those lines.

Also, is this Aaron rex's first tna match?

He's always had that. Dude's not a bad wrestler, but he has an awful body. Little poochy belly, big floppy man tits, no definition and not a great tan. He looks like somebody's Dad strapped on a pair of tights and boots and hit the ring.

Wow Impact Zone oon't give 2 shits about Aron Rex. Not that they should. He has no character, cuts terribly bland promos.....and when you're as uninteresting as he's been......people are gonna bring up you're lack of conditioning. Guy shoulda kept the hair and beard. He should be heel as well. Guy comes across as not even wanting to be there.....or he's just that uninterested in these promos they're having him cut.

This Hardy stuff is just on another level than anything else in wrestling right now. Really isn't a lot else to care about.

Ah, I see they are referring to Cody as Game Changer. John Cena, Undertaker, heck even Roman Reigns would be a Game Changer, not Cody Rhodes.

Cody is a great signing for any company, but he definitely isn't a game changer. Cody Rhodes will not swing business to TNA. The only way TNA will ever recover from near death is repackaging their entire product, which begins with changing the name. The name TNA is synonymous with failure. They need to recreate the wrestling wheel and give people what they want, what they miss about late 90's wrestling.

Whatever Matt Hardy is doing is working. How you take that idea and expand it across a while TV show is another issue in itself.

Expanding what Hardy is doing across the entire show seems like a really bad idea to me. I don't really watch TNA other than what Hardy is doing but an entire show and cast of characters doing "so bad it's good" humor isn't going to work for wrestling

Just have Broken Matt and Brother Nero "delete" TNA with Corgan's help and have the new name/structure rise from the ashes.

Checking out some of last night and it doesn't seem like it was terrible. Obviously nothing to write home about, but as per TNA's track record, I am sure Impact this week is where the big news events are going to pop (no pun intended). I am very interested to see what takes place at the tapings tonight, sounds like the rest of 2016 will be taken care of this week.

If this injection of cash came from Dixie's papa, I really hope she can take a step back and realize that how she is conducting the business the last year or so is not going to continue working.

The name change needs to happen, it's been 10+years in the making. I've always hated the name but yeah it's time. They will still have the hsitory, they just need a reboot starting with the name. It doesn't help that they're on a channel like Pop, seriously if you look at the shows on that channel it makes no real sense as to why pro wrestling is on it. At least it's some form of visual exposure. It's sad they don't travel that often, if at all, I can't even remember the last time I heard about a TNA house show. They need to promote their product better and that's something I've always felt was one of their biggest weaknesses. I mean shit, how about getting some merch at a store like Spencer's or even somewhere like K-Mart, Wal-Mart? Trust me, there's enough room for a #2 wrestling promotion.

I was there live. A very fun experience in person. The Great War was incredible. Fun fact: Matt vs. Abyss stuff by that Universal Orlando sign and ferris wheel had to have been taped the night before or something, because there's no way they got to that sign on the outskirts of the property that fast, and there's darn sure no way they got to that Ferris wheel and back that fast in Orlando traffic, it's not too far from Universal, but definitely not close enough to do that live. It was a very fun night. EC3 vs. Lashley was suprisingly good. I don't know if the camera mics caught how many F bombs EC3 was dropping but he dropped SO many . "RING THE FUCKING BELL!" was the first of many. He cut a promo after the show went off the air thanking the fans for supporting TNA through the tough times basically. He broke character. It was all around a very fun show. I had a blast. Dumb ass referee threw the barbwire board with thumbtacks out of the ring and all the tacks spilled into the front row and the barbwire almost hit us. I got to take home some tacks though. haha.

I'm sure those will come in useful.

Rhodes could have been a game changer at one point, but he was undervalued for too long to be considered one now. It's a shame, but it will be interesting to see what he gets up to there, especially with Rex having big things predicted of him, and an underwhelming beginning to his time with the company.

Sandow doesn't bring anything to the company they don't already have with guys like Eli Drake.

Having watched the Great War I can't believe how stupid I am. Jeff Hardy "Smashing Pumpkins" on the ground went completely over my head

Another thing about the Great War. Who drove the truck back to the Arena with Matt and Abyss fighting in it? Vanguard 1 sprayed mist in Rosymary's eyes so are we to believe Vanguard 1 was driving the truck?

Haha that was brilliant the smashing pumpkins stuff.

Was recommended to watch this by a friend, not watched TNA on over 2-3 years. Wrestling stuff was quite good and overall I enjoyed the ppv. Hardy's have changed so much and can see why people are talking about them.

Regarding the name change, I predict it will just cement Impact Wrestling as the company name. Quietly fade out the sophomoric TNA name.

    bfg thoughts:

x-division was a good match. Couldn't care less about these 2 or their fight for that belt, though. That title is ruined.
10-man thing was a mess. Good for E-LI-DRAKE
Moose is a fucking mountain of charisma. Big fan of his from ROH, I see big things for him in this industry.
Yuck to Rex/Edwards. That match did not really flow well. It's weird to see Rex in the GC division because he doesn't have a style that lends itself to what the GC is about. Edwards would have been a better choice for first champ.
LASHLEY is so money as champ. Him starting with the spear and pose was WONDERFUL.
Main event was good. Just 2 big dudes wailing on each other. EC3 as face is STILL odd to me, but Lashley did great as a heel. Shocking result too. I really thought Carter had it.

Lashley is money as champ yet nobody talks about him. There is no money in Bobby Lashley. It's just that Dixie likes him and wants her own version of Brock Lesnar and he's about as close as they'll get.

EC3 as a face sucks compared to EC3 as a heel. Dude had the best chant since YES! "You can't wrestle" "Yes I can" "You can't wrestle" "I'm very good" That was awesome. His whole character was the shit.

Nobody talks about him because they're busy focusing on the Hardys and the sale of the company. Lashley has been a fantastic champ and has really come into his own.

Lashley is still a very good in ring competitor and can mix it with younger, faster guys but he doesn't have the required charisma to be the star a guy of his size and ability could be. He never seems a natural heel as he always has a pleasant smile on his face, not a sadistic smile. The WWE couldn't even get him over in a huge WM match involving Vince, Stone Cold and a Presidential Candidate!

Lashley vs Lesnar would be a good match but WWE can do Joe or Nakamura vs Lesnar if they want a similar sort of match. They would certainly view Kurt Angle as a more attractive signing than Lashley also.

Putting the title on Eddie is strange as it looked as if EC3 was being built up to regain it. If Del Rio was going to debut then he'd be an option. I'd assume Davey Richards is nearing a return so will him or Eddie turn heel and feud for the title I wonder. I'm pleased for Eddie as he is a top wrestler and was ROH World Champ before so has held major gold in a similar sized company before. Is Eddie possibly out of contract soon and Impact want to keep him happy as WWE would be likely suitors.

He's been champion like 4 times now hasn't he? Nobody gave a fuck then, nobody gives a fuck now lol. I do remember some of us being pretty high on him as the silent beast with MVP and Kenny King. If I remember correctly, he wasn't even supposed to win the World title, MVP was but MVP got hurt and so they called an audible. But even then, it didn't really shake things up. I thought they were maybe on to something with him winning all the belts but he was the wrong guy for the role because he lacks any form of charisma.

I think this is what holds him back greatly. He has the face of a 10 year old, the body of a super hero, I think he lacks intensity in general. When he does a move it doesn't look like it even hurts because he seems hesitant in everything he does. Upper card player for sure, World champion of a company trying to remain relevant? I don't think so.

In all seriousness, I think so. You have Black Lesnar v. Real Lesnar. There's some collegiate and MMA stuff you could intertwine into the selling aspect of this match up but I think they would keep the verbals minimal because Lashley is one of the most boring, dullest promos of all time. I'd pay to see it on a good card.

Really don't care what anyone says. If you don't think Bobby Lashley is a tremendous bully heel after spearing ECIII then demanding that they continue with his ring introduction while doing a pose like he was the shit, you have shit opinions.

Exactly what do you mean by positive? Ratings? Only Matt Hardy does that. So unless your argument is, "Give Matt Hardy all the titles," then it all comes down to presentation. And Bobby Lashley has both been presented and conducted himself like a great bully heel champion.

I just don't see it. I think what Lashley lacks as a heel is intensity. He's monotone on the mic, his matches aren't always Lance Storm soft but he more often than not just comes across like he's going through the motions, like his heart isn't truly in it and I can respect that when you're also trying to train/fight MMA. The passion just doesn't seem to be there and I'll be honest, haven't seen BFG just yet so maybe the EC3 match was the shit but I was listening to Meltzer and he just kind of wrote it off as average.

Bobby Lashley would be another Titus O' Neil if he ever returned to WWE. He is a big name in TNA because, well, it's TNA. He sink in WWE.

I can't remember WHO this was who said this in an interview but they were talking about how when Lashley was in development they were hoping Vince wouldn't see him because they knew if Vince saw him he would want Lashley on the main roster too soon. Lashley just never really caught on IMHO and maybe had he not left he would have but I don't know. Vince put him in situations that made him appear better than he was and he got the push because of his look plain and simple. He was good enough to do what Vince needed him to do and he was better at that stage than say Batista but I feel like Lashley has kind of had to learn as he goes which has hurt him over time, especially when he's half in wrestling half in MMA.

I kind of feel the same about Moose and Ryback. Moose is still pretty green, he doesn't have much psychology and that's probably due to working in Ring of Honor where the first match and the last match and everything in between is all about having match of the night and trying to get a 5 star Meltzer rating-which isn't a bad thing but sometimes the matches have no substance. Ryback, I brought his name up as a guy who like Lashley was rushed into a "top spot". I've always felt Ryback though could have been wayyyy bigger during the whole Punk-Cena-Rock stuff as his crowd response from entrance music to the final bell was always super hot at the time but yeah, jobbed out.

Bobby Lashley strikes me as the kind of guy who, if you'll excuse the odd comparison, would be way better served being moved into the role of a humble, self-confident Ron Simmons style black athlete role. Make Lashley the biggest, happiest smiling babyface out there. Put him out there at public events, have him do charity appearances and Make A Wish Foundation stuff. Basically, do with Lashley what WWE tried to do with Titus 'O Neil. Talk up his legitimate sports and combat sports background. But compare and contrast that with how much of a good guy he is. He wants to be this amazing role model for all young people. Shoot a vignette of him throwing a football around with some kids at a park in the town he's from. Play to his strengths. Bobby Lashley is a soft spoken guy without, it would seem, a sadistic bone in his body. Yeah, he's wrecked people, going up 14-1 in Bellator and MMA, but he always takes some of the winner's purse and gives it back to his community. He's just a good athlete, an absolute monster, and somebody who wants to excel at everything and anything he does.

I guess what I want to see is "Make A Difference Bobby Lashley". Because it worked so well for Fatu.

(I'm joking. I think properly recontextualized, a babyface Lashley would do very well.)

I seem to remember Lashley having his career best match just before he left with Cena - it was a bit absurdly built like a Hogan/Warrior clash of the titans kind of thing (considering Lashley was fresh off a feud with Vince) and the feud didn't really catch on because of it, but on the night it felt like a huge deal. Think it was the debut of the Super AA too in a normal match. Then he left. It was a strange time. They had Orton, Kennedy, Lashley, Carlito, John Morrison, Shelton, MVP, Punk, Elijah Burke etc., guys that looked on the verge of breaking through to the next level, but all of a sudden there was no Jericho, Eddie, Angle, Benoit, Christian and RVD to give them that big credible match, as well as Edge, Michaels and Mysterio spending quite a bit of time injured or in shit angles for HBK in 2006. You wonder how much that group would have come on if they had those guys as foil rather than each other.

This. Lashley is exactly what TNA needs to make it's World Title mean something; A dominant Monster for the Baby Faces to overcome. That's all out the window now.

    What. The. Fuck.

Based on spoilers I have read, these TV tapings are producing some shit storylines.

I thought TNA was supposed to be trying to stay in business, not bury themselves.

100% agree. The guys like Jericho, Benoit, Angle, etc. had guys to work with ranging from Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair to Austin and The Rock to Foley and Triple H, getting the rub just by being in an angle or working a match on a big card. Everything you said is spot on. The injuries of guys like Shawn and Rey didn't help.

Sounding like WWE bought the tape library, and BC bought the company and will rebrand.

I don't know the particulars obviously but I wonder if Corgan could have used the tape library to re-relase a bunch of old stuff and help rebrand and rebuild financially off the past of TNA.....On the flipside if anyone was going to get that library, the WWE are the best ones to get it because they have the means to utilize it to the fullest especially with guys like Joe and AJ Styles on the roster plus matches that featured Sting, Dudleyz, Hardyz, etc.

Absolutely insane, yet brilliant way to handle this. Corgan gets all the sets, equipment, talent, and TV deals, while WWE gets the video library to pump out joe/aj/roode/etc DVDs.

I wonder if Corgan comes in and maybe changes things around in terms of the booking direction for a lot of talent or is he already pretty involved in what we are seeing? Fuck i just hate they are on Pop. For 1, I don't get the channel and I'm not spending money to get the channel and 2 the channel is just stupid.

My cable provider randomly got Pop several months back and I love it. I know we can watch IMPACT online or whatever, but yeah, watching it on the TV is best.

I just think to myself, are they going to get money from viewers on Youtube? The world is evolving so I don't see why not but at this moment in time it's not exactly common for a wrestling promotion to get advertising money from Youtube.

I figured at the least WWE does because they have a huge presence on the internet. TNA, not so much. So I wasn't sure if they actually received anything but again I don't even watch wrestling on youtube that often even though i probably should.

Matt has to delete TNA if there is a rebrand. Has to.
