If there's a distraction finish, I'd be shocked if it wasn't Reigns. Brock seems to be fine interacting straight up with the person he's in a match in via a promo or confrontation but he very rarely, if ever, steps in during a match involving someone he's about the face. Maybe I'm forgetting instances, but it seems like he doesn't do much of anything in terms of stepping in on that person when they're in another match.

This is the best thing they've done with Jordan since he came to RAW...

It's a different way of booking. Make Jordan look good by having him take top guys to their limit. The only trouble is that we don't see this kind of booking nearly enough so the perception is that Jordan looks weak when it's actually the opposite. They started doing the same thing with Gable on Smackdown until Shelton came into the picture and it was the same thing. Gable lost, but he had competitive matches with his opponents so he still looked good.

Not sure how I feel about Asuka being on Raw. Also feels like kind of a waste for it to play out in terms of her being a free agent less than a week. Easily could have been a simple storyline that played out over a few weeks. It feels like it's certainly possible for her to be booked just as dominant as she was on NXT with the current landscape of Raw's roster.

What I've enjoyed about Roman v. Cena in terms of Roman is that when he's not saying the stupid shit that everyone from a 5 year to a smark knows i.e. the Hollywood jabs when Cena's about to star in a Transformer's movie, not having a great match when Cena's had more great matches than Roman has obviously, the comment where Roman is selling out arenas.....I mean that was some pretty heelish shit to say but it didn't get met with the boo's someone like Owens would have received because Roman isn't established as a heel so it sounds dumb. Buttttt....

His comment about how the WWE doesn't need John Cena. That part was cool. The parts where he seems to be just chilled out calling Cena a bitch ass, that's cool. The only thing I've thought of with this is that Cena is trying to rile Reigns up and get him off his game. Basically feels like Cena is playing Mayweather to Reigns being McGregor in the sense that Cena is playing the seasoned vet and knows he can withstand just about anything and when things get tough, Cena knows that is where he can take Reigns out. That's what I took from last week, at least. This week, it makes total sense not to do anything because that would be silly due to the fact you're about to be in a match with Strowman.

Reigns is like the Nate Diaz to John Cena's McGregor. Nobody really stepped to McGregor amidst his shit talk routine until Nate. Nate wasn't that clever on the mic, he was blunt and to the point, even said random weird shit like "You're all on steroids" to McGregor, which reminds me of Roman saying the random shit to Cena about not being able to break in to Hollywood, not being able to sell tickets. It was just to get under Cena's skin to rile him up, see if he'd actually step up. I'm serious...We've seen Cena in face v. face storylines more often than anyone in the history of WWE, and he's never backed down. He's never really been in the situation where someone did what Roman did to him last week which has really set the tone and taken the feud to another level imo. It's fun listening to Cena big brother Roman like he does everyone else who could and probably is better than he'll ever be, but it needed more.

Seriously, edit out the lame shit about him not getting into Hollywood, ticket sales, and just the meat of the argument about the WWE not needing Cena and Cena seeking ROMAN out, it would have been great. It was still good, just took me out of the moment when he started reverting to shit that would have maybe made sense at various times in John's career but not today.

The point about baiting you made with Reigns and the Hollywood stuff works for what I'm talking about. I think Reigns has been doing it more in the last week or so, but it feels like Cena has been consistent with that approach.

Cena's been talking about stringing Roman along so he's projecting that he's doing something to rope Reigns in. He's also presenting himself as someone who is definitely older and potentially more wiser than Reigns. So that would be an instance where physicality last week wasn't the road worth taking and this week simply due to his upcoming match...which would also serve as respect towards Strowman. We'll find out in two weeks if all of that is just lip service or not.

The biggest talking point that resonated to me the most with Reigns centered around how the roles were reversed. People usually come out to call Cena out but Cena was the one calling Reigns out. On top of that, Cena tried to get the last word in and left, then Reigns (with his favorite word, apparently) told Cena to come back.

The tickets and Hollywood stuff was lame, but he apparently didn't nail the line that should have really clicked when he was alluding to The Rock. Either he didn't deliver it right, it wasn't written effectively, or the crowd completely whiffed on it.

In my completely imperfect scoring system, I would have charted the three weeks as
Week 1: 10-8 Cena
Week 2: 10-9 Cena
Week 3: 10-9 Reigns
