The "just don't get it" thread
Saw this on another forum and it got some mental responses including Scholes, Pogba and Kante. Basically which highly-rated players, either current or historical, have you struggled to see the hype for?
For me, the first name that springs to mind is James Ward-Prowse. There seems to be this assumption that he's the future of English football, when as far as I can see he's no better now than he was as a 17-year old, and doesn't have much about him beyond being fairly neat and tidy and being good (very good, in fairness) on set pieces. Plenty of young centre mids in the Premier League better than him, including a few English ones (WINKS).

Mate he's played like 150 games or something before turning 23 that's pretty good. I don't think he'll ever be the best midfielder in the world but he should be a big contributor to the full side soon.
He probably is a little overhyped right now but I do think he is better than winks right now
I'm just going to come out and say it. I don't think pique is that good really don't see it.
I'm also doubting klopp a bit recently. I think he's good but as of right now I think Rodgers did as well and it is the difference in personality that's writing history
