I think Roseanne was always the type to go against whatever was considered "unpopular" It's not cool to be gay, it's not cool to be fat, it's not cool to be broke as fuck. So what did she do? Incorporated all that shit into the shows, both old and new. She's always been a "heart on her sleeve" type. I never really looked at her as someone who is homophobic or even racist. She's a fucking comedian. All my favorite comedians, white, black, brown, etc. I could pull so much shit that would make them "racist" Everyone from Chappelle to Chris Rock to Dice Clay had their moments, some still do.

I wouldn't mind the show focused on Darlene. She was great this season and they can have Roseanne die during the knee surgery she needs.
Darlene got a good enough job that her and Becky could move in together and run the show based of the 2nd generation of the connors.
John Goodman playing the crotchety grandpa helping out with the kids would be good as well. That show has enough beloved characters to survive the main actor bowing out of it.
However, Hulu has already pulled it out of their library, like the Cosby Show before it. The ratings it brings would be tempting for struggling networks, but it might come with too much baggage for any takers.

She was fucked up on that shit for about 15 hours and they had to run a bunch of tests because her heart rate was just out of control.
