Cook had a very Eli game by throwing for 600+ yards and 7 TD after Murray got injured part way through

I dunno, I reckon you are the most dangerous player this season. I can still frustrate with possession but I have no long passing game (even less now without Stafford) and zero running game. I just don't score enough points.
I have spent most of this week practicing a trick play that doesnt work as its broken. Was just as well i tried it out first.
I more concerned about the latency to be honest. My connection seems to have been really poor this season.

I lost the game against the Seahawks fairly convincingly and threw a couple more interceptions so made a conscious effort against the Bears to take my time and not rush into a long throw. It worked fairly well, with a 10-3 win. I stopped them scoring any touchdowns which must be a first this year and they had a field goal from a 4th and goal (is there anyway to even get near to blocking btw?) whilst scoring a nice touchdown myself building from the back and making my way up the field before getting a field goal from a 4th and goal myself so I'm fairly happy with that to be honest. It's progress at least.

Beckham got three targets against Hurley for 2TDs and 140 yards. I ended up taking him out of the game (only for Sterling Shepard to pull off a crazy one handed catch in double coverage) to save him for MMH.
I usually only throw to Beckham a handful of times a game but he's looked good in practice this week and said something about wanting to have a record-breaking game whatever that means.

I hate late round drafting. The players at that stage are just so bad and I'm awful at figuring out how to make them good like you guys do.
If there is no one available, trade the pick. That's generally what I do after the 4th or 5th when there is only trash/unknown left.

How would we feel about breaking for Christmas, from like the end of next week to maybe Boxing Day?
The alternative is I take my PS4 home with me like I did last year. This wouldn't be my preference for a number of reasons but also wouldn't be the end of the World.
We rattled through quite a lot last Christmas period and if people are likely to be around and keen to play we can do so again and we do have only two games of the regular season to go but if people aren't going to be around anyway can they say so now so I don't bother.

You might not have any games anyway BBF - I imagine we'll play Week 16 over this weekend and Week 17 (the last one of the regular season) early next week. Then you're done until next pre-season.
Good question on the draft - we should try to find a day now that the most of us are likely to be free and then work the post-season around that.

The draft and free agency will have to be done carefully, as free agency is different this year and is very exploitable

im off work from the 24th til the 2nd, so i'd be all for letting things continue, which only matters if i make the playoffs.
as for the draft, it'll have to be on one of my days off if I'm going to attend. so a wednesday or thursday. saturdays are possible as im on call and don't have to go in unless something happens that needs me to come in, so that just makes those days iffy. we can set it up for a saturday and i can plan to be there, then a call out or something happens at work and ill have to attend to that.

I don't really agree with the article, tbh, because it was kinda the same in Madden 15 and 16 - you couldn't see the points but it told you who the top three teams in the bidding were and who had the best bid. I guess the difference is that you now know whether you're close in your offer and just need to tweak a bit or whether another team has blown you out of the water and you need to move on but that's the same in real life - Agents and players will obviously share the information of the offers they currently have on table with anyone else that they are negotiating with. The difference I guess is that in this the AI always offers first but that does give them the opportunity to set a marker and I know that I'm often put off of bidding for a top player because of a high offer from an AI side.
You can go 1pt above the AI bid but unless it is the final week of free agency there's no guarantee that the player will actually accept and you run the risk of the AI or someone else trumping you the next week.
I guess in theory I have a slight advantage (or whoever goes last) but I'm happy to not go last or to agree a set time to advance the clock. I really don't see this as being a show-stopper. The bigger problem we've always had is free agency straight after the draft when some people aren't on.
