NXT TakeOver - UK Tour

So as Triple H announced this past weekend, the UK is going to have a chance to experience NXT in all its glory. I figured this was significant enough to deserve its own thread, particularly as a bunch of us Brits have already booked our tickets.

Here are the dates:

December 10 – Newcastle
December 11 – Glasgow
December 12 – Sheffield
December 13 – Blackpool
December 14 – Nottingham
December 15 – Cardiff
December 16 – London

By some amazing stroke of luck, the London date is the day I arrive for my annual trip home. So barring any plane delays I will be there with a few mates. Have already bought mid-ranged tickets through o2 priority.

So...I've been wondering out loud what kind of card(s) we should be expecting to see. There's been a fair few departures lately (the women's division, Owens, Neville), and Zayn and Itami are on the shelf - but are they likely to be back by then? Incoming we have Apollo Crews, and Tyler Breeze could conceivably get a bit of a push. With the rumours that the London show will be a special, you'd have to assume they would want as much star power as possible to make it a good one.

Assuming everyone's back and fit and Balor sticks around until then, here is my picks to go on the card:

NXT Title:
Sami Zayn vs Finn Balor (c)

#1 Contenders Match
Tyler Breeze vs Apollo Crews

Grudge Match
Samoa Joe vs Hideo Itami

As for the under-card, not too sure...

Tickets for the Glasgow show bought, looking forward to seeing Finn in Glasgow again, Crews (I chaperoned him about for a show last year and a nicer wrestler you will not meet), Enzo and Cass live. It should be brilliant

Honestly, he's so friendly. It was a show for Premier British Wrestling in some shithole like Dumbarton. Maybe about 400 people there. One of the other trainees was having his debut match the next month and is talking to Crews about it. Crews there and then says he cant make any promises to the guy but he will be in the UK at that point and bought a ticket from him. There's no chance he was turning up but the guy could not have been more buzzing that he just sold a ticket for his own debut match to Uhaa Nation.

Ended up getting the £20 seats and I think we are in the top row of Wembley

I bet they'll have some reinforcements for this tour. Neville and Paige immediately jump out at me being English. Cesaro is European and generally fits in with NXT, so they might have him on there too. And even if Owens is full-time on the main roster now, they might send him on the tour too to give it some extra star power.

I'd imagine Bayley vs. Emma is a strong possibility. Lots of history to play on and both are incredibly underrated (even after Bayley/Sasha)

Hideo vs. Finn also may be likely. With Owens gone, I suspect they'll peg the attack bit on Finn/The Demon and let the two of them go crazy in the ring.

Speaking of Owens, if there was anyway to get him versus Regal on this, I'd be very happy.

If by some crime against humanity, Enzo and Big Cass STILL aren't on the main roster by then, they'll probably challenge for the tag belts. They're over enough where them just being in the tag match makes it much larger.

I think the same idea was brought up for John Cena. He comes out for a segment/match. People should sit there in silence or walk out to the concourse until his segment/match is over. And then nobody does it.

I think it needs one more workhouse kinda match, but I'm pumped for the title match in particular - really hope they get chance to cut loose and deliver big time. The atmosphere is going to be crazy.
