I honestly don't remember anyone using the spear until Goldberg. I'm sure there probably was someone, especially with how often the WWF would randomly have football players show up but usually you'd see some weird football tackle and the guy would take a flip bump or a chop block.
The weird part about his comment, to me, is that motherfuckers were using the spear before he got there in general, both runs. Edge...His moveset was basically Kanyon/Mortis, Goldberg, and Gangrel. Batista had a spear, Big Show had a spear, pretty sure Lashley was doing the spear in his first run. Her streak ended in 2018, he had already been back a couple years while her streak was still going in NXT.
What he doesn't talk about is how he trashed the WWE and basically pro wrestling as a whole for 10-12 years and they brought him back, 1st match in 2016 Survivor Series he squashes Brock. All those years of everyone doing the job like a bitch including John Cena and the guy who gets the rub is Goldberg. Who keep in mind, he beats Lesnar, wins the title from KO in Feb 2017, and then after losing to Lesnar-all of this within 5 months, he takes 2 years off to give us that horrid Taker match.
