Harlee gone to Birmingham, not unexpected sadly. Love the bloke but as with Button and Bidwell, final year of contract and someone willing to pay a load of money means they are gone. Egan is like Harlee from 3 years ago, raw unfinished product but a talent, hoping he can form a decent partnership with Barbet who I rate as our best CB, as he has looked like shite playing with Bjelland.

Look after my lads JPmust say I'm glad they ended up where they did and not Fulham/QPR like Button and Bidwell. Don't need to say any more about Jota, he's the best player I've ever seen play for us. Harlee is a blood and guts warrior - you will love the guy. He has matured under us into a top player and can play a bit with the ball at his feet too. He doesn't lose headers. Just forgive his occasional fuck up. Maxime is a class act. Technically fantastic and a very solid defender. He had a great understanding with Jota down the right that should translate for you immediately.
We rejected bids for Bentley, Woods and Egan which was good. 12m for three players is good and vital for our continued success - two who were out of contract and wouldn't sign and one release clause. It is a sad day and caused a lot of our fans to go into meltdown but that's what happens with our transfer policy, this is what we do. We can't match the kind of wages Birmingham are dishing out and we aren't even close. We made the replacements already this window, Dalsgaard will replace Max full time and I'm surprised he stuck around as long as he did - I thought he was gone at the start of summer and Dalsgaard took his place to start the year anyway (despite Colin being a better player at this point in their careers). Harlee lost the captaincy as he wouldn't sign a deal so the writing was on the wall there too - as I've said before we'll have to find the right combo with Barbet/Egan/Bjelland but we can move on with those for sure. Jota is irreplaceable but always going, Canos and Watkins are unbelievable players and Maupay looks great, Jozefzoon and Josh Clarke still give us some serious pace and width if needed and Romaine Sawyers has been are best player this season so we still have a promising attack. And big important talents like Henry, Bentley, Woods, Sawyers, Nico, McEachran, Lasse (and McLeod and eventually Judge to return from long term injury) and all the afformentioned players are here and all have plently of potential. Onwards and upwards. Again.
Kieftenbeld is a very Rowett like player. Davies is the better of the two, and it wouldn't surprise me if he got told that wasn't going to happen and so moved targets. Sensible head, good engine, can occasionally hit a wonder. Never going to set the world on fire but a handy player to have in your squad.
I knew we had to jettison some players given the number we've signed, but I think it's a mistake to let Donaldson go. He offered a natural, heads down, channel runner which we no longer have. I know we're moving away from that, but it's sometimes handy to have that in reserve if what you start with isn't working.
Yeah, sorry about this mate. Between them and Vassell (and the 25 others) we seem to have had a pretty good time of it. Reading up about Harlee, looks very much like we've sold our can be great/can be woeful defender in Shotton and upgraded.
Harlee has really cut out the basic errors in the last season. Still got it in him but nothing like his League One days and his distribution now borders on being classy. He is a very passionate man, I'm sure you and all your fans will love the man.
You can check this out, from our first Championship year this famous glorious game shows Harlee cocking up and then doing his absolute best to make up for it followed by Jota scoring in one of the greatest moments I've had as a Brentford fan. These two are both Brentford legends.

It relied on Aina running out for no reason instead of staying and nodding it away at the front post, Kingsley and Dawson getting in each other's way and having bad defensive body shape and whoever it was at the back post letting Johnson go. It's pretty rare he goes to the byline like that.

Interesting game, Obviously when Loovens got a Red after 4 minutes and we scored then obviously they had to go defensive, can't fault them for that, But Lawerence had a chance that hit the post no too long after that would have forced them to play a bit, As it was we had to wait till the end to get the second.
As well as that, Fletcher could have won a pen for Wednesday themselves and Westwood MIGHT have seen red for handling when Keogh went through on him but I will have to watch the highlights as it was the other end of the pitch to me.
Last point, If Wed were looking to get themselves back into the game I would have considered bringing Jao on earlier, He's a big unit and bullied our defenders on a couple of occasions, As for their midfield, Bannan,Wallace and Lee all seemed about 5 ft and a bit

You can still get sent off if there's no intention to play the ball but a mistimed tackle when there's a clear goal scoring that results in a penalty is no longer an automatic red.
