Yeah they just need to sign them up, agreed. Both top class players.

    Good win today, looking good.

Bit of a mental season again, really. Lose at Watford, beat Arsenal.

Though I think that's being a tad harsh on Watford. They looked good on Saturday. That big lad up top works hard and Amrabat looks very tasty on the right. Watford/Everton was the first match I've watched almost properly in some time and rather enjoyed it.

Missed the game last night, but will maybe catch Utd/Palace tonight, though it's hardly the most appealing looking fixture.

Shit performance in a game you should be looking to win if you want to come first. I know you have no given right to go somewhere like Everton and win, but it was the manner in which they played which annoyed me. Created fuck all after scoring that deflected free kick. Chances are they'll be 9 points behind Chelsea by the time the Man City game kicks off. Just like last season, I can't ever see their being a point where they are going to look a serious threat to challenging for the title.

It's the same shit performances year after year. Playing a team that can't defend and they don't create a single chance after scoring in the 4th minute. Such a weak spineless mentality in that team. I can't even muster up the energy to be bothered anymore, I've been proven right too many times already about how incapable Wenger is.

What has happened? Looked on BBC and didn't see anything about them. Or is this just an "Arsenal are still shit" bump.

Not panicked but when you consider:-

    Lost at Watford and Stoke
    Got thrashed at Liverpool
    Theo Walcott
Two key players playing like dogturd as they are planning to leave
Keep conceding penalties (incidentally Cech has an awful record at penalty saves at Arsenal)
Best finisher being put on the bench on big games
Kroenke has said he isn't planning to sell
    Theo Walcott
No Director of Football in place
    Chief transfer executive not replaced
    Theo Walcott
Playing our worst central midfielder in a back 3 against the best team in the league

    To be balanced I suppose

    Both new signings look good
Eddie looks a prospect, as Nelson
Europa League is obtainable and has been quite fun so far
    Nacho has been excellent

    erm.....

Walcott done then, £20m not bad for someone who has hardly played. Looks like Sanchez out, Mika and Aubemeyang in.

God I’ve got no idea how to spell Mykitirian(?) that’s not right, but anyway, he’s a replacement for Walcot, Aubamanyang (not even close on spelling either I don’t think) replaces Sanchez, but the big question, who replaces Coquelin?

3rd times a charm haha. I think Wenger sees Maitland-Niles as the one to come in for Coquelin, its his natural position.

I do think we need to get a midfielder in summer though along with a central defender and a keeper

Which Keeper though? Hardest position to fill. Peter Shilton lives locally to me, I’ll see if he’s doing anything.

Mate he played in a testimonial I went to 10 years ago and had to come off after 10 minutes as he was knackered, He would be perfect

    Butland?

I liked Pickford but cant see Everton letting him go.

I think at this point it would be very easy to find a superior replacement for Cech, there are loads of good keepers around. Handanovic at Inter us supposed to be available and has a good few years left.

Not really, he's conceding a lot of goals but that's because Stoke are shit. He's the same as Pickford, actually doing quite well despite the stats. Bit of a worry for the World Cup that Heaton's the only English keeper whose reputation has been enhanced this season and that's because he's been out for four months. Maybe we should get Pope in.

Pickford's relevant stats are much better than Butland's this year.

Yeah Pickford has certainly been better and is a more obvious example of a keeper who is doing better than the stats suggest, but Butland isn't doing much wrong and I wouldn't say he's had a bad season so far. I do wonder why no big side has taken a punt on him though, given how highly he's supposed to be rated...there must be something in their scout reports that's stopping them from shelling out.

I think tbh I've got as many wrong as he has some I'm not having too much of a go haha

Alex doesn't put much faith in the concept of players being in form. I think that's it really favours longer term views on players

He's the one who said Harry Kane was a better striker than Vardy to those saying Vardy should be a guaranteed starter.

My opinion is Bamford is a failure when measured against your expectation, And to a lesser extent mine, I figure he's at least got the ability to play lower/mid table premier league football.

Only 3 more months before he fucks off. I think there's a team in there somewhere, but at the moment we could have a forward line of Ronaldo and Messi and still fail to create a chance because they seem to go into games without any discernable gameplan.

Will he go though? He's far too stubborn. Would they sack him? Again, I don't see it. Depends how much worse it gets, I suppose.

He now has the record for pl games managed maybe that was in a few minds before. Sounds stupid but they may have wanted him to be able to get that

Even if it's not his idea to go I think it'll be made out that it is so its a bit more feel good

TBH I don't really know why he's hanging on, it's in his interest to - the moment he leaves, he will immediately regain his rightful place among fans as a club legend.

I dont think it is a co-incidence that most of the players play better at international level.

Very surprised by the results. Seems like those are always the games that Arsenal look sharp for. Probably a sign that Wenger really has lost the locker room.

I hope he goes with dignity. As much as he is a bad loser and obviously he's a horrible Arsenal cunt, he seems like a good man who has done a lot for football in thus country. He's something of an institution too - if he goes, and doesn't move to a new club then I hope England make a move to use his experience and expertise.

I think it would be better if he announces now that he's leaving in the summer, so that the team and the fans can get behind him as he goes for the Europa League. If he's going to finish off this season, then there's no reason (I can think of) to not announce it now.
He's had a slowly deteriorating relationship with with his fans for many years. If he's got another 15 or so games to get through, he deserves to have everyone's support for them for a change.

I don't think he has the self awareness to do that to be honest. The owner needs to step in now (hah!) and tell him that he wont be there next season.

Even then they should offer him the chance to announce it as his decision. If he still says no then that's his own fault.

Yep agreed, but it needs to be driven by the club now. I thinj Wenger doesnt realise the position he is in. He isnt as bullet proof as he used to be, the back room staff has been changed and they werent his appointments.
