They remade the Stand?
Yeah. Good casting but they've decided to make it feel more modern by doing time jumps so you start at the end and then learn the backstory in flashbacks and it just ROBS everyone of their journey. I mean epsiode one they were in Colorado.
The guy they've got playing Harold is amazing though.
Binged some Harley Quinn on a flight last week and some evenings lately.
It's pretty fun
So I just finished UTOPIA. I didn't realize that there was already a British version released 7 years ago that also has a season 2 until Prime recommended it for me. Definitely avoiding it until season 2 of the American version drops. I'm 100% behind this series. John Cusak is money as a bad guy, just his cadence and facials piss me off in general. Great cast, great plot, definitely ready for season 2.
Edit: So after I fucking posted this I looked up real quick to see when Season 2 was going to drop and it was fucking cancelled!!!! FUCK YOU!! :J_P$F(PJ$PIFJP OLJPO$IJF66666666 666 666
The only upside is that Amazon has the British version which has a season 2 so I'm just going to season 1 and 2 of the original and hope for the best.
I mean for fuck's sake it just dropped 3 months ago and within a month it was cancelled. You don't roll out something that deep and then kill it within a month. It was getting some really good buzz.
That's just great television
Pigs in Space, by itself, is worth the price of admission
American Pie is still terrible.
The Movie? GTFO. American Pie and American Pie 2 are 90's classics. There's nothing wrong with a little high school/college humor.
If those bad movies are considered "'90s classics", then I hesistate to check out the rest of the '90s library.
Maybe this belongs in the Hot Takes thread but American Pie 2 > American Pie.
Watching Wayne atm. It's so incredibly violent.
I am enjoying though. Bringing back memories of Boston for sure haha
We have Netflix and then have had one other one of various sorts (Crave, Amazon Prime, soon to be Disney+).
"Jim, put your shirt back on, you're scaring away all the ladies!"
American Wedding > AP2
Just finished my rewatch of “Rescue Me”.
About halfway through season five I realized how terrible the show actually is; Tommy Gavin was a piece of shit and his family drama irritated me. The final two and a half seasons was a fucking chore, I am so glad to be done with it.
Up next, “Sons of Anarchy”. Do I have to finish “Sons” before I hit up “Mayans MC”?
I am about halfway through season two of The Sinner. This show always have twists and turns.
Do it however you can afford. Having all the services is a hefty chunk of coin. Add to that the fact that I'm not going to watch a million things that are on them (another reason we're dropping Prime is there's nothing of interest at this point) and it makes sense to me to just keep it minimal/as needed.
Prime and Disney+ are the ones I know the least about.
Netflix and Hulu do their jobs well enough, but I also feel like I could find most, if not all, of their library elsewhere for a lower price.
We do Hulu Live to replace our cable. Saved us over $100 a month.
I'm a big fan of films about games. I prefer watching some documentary films about situations in sports that already happened or would happen. But I highly recommend you to watch Casino Royale (James Bond series) and Rounders. Sometimes I can't believe that such old films could be so exciting.
Yesterday finished watching "Walking Dead". And what can I say? First 3 seasons were so amazing and I was pretty surprised(I'm not a fan of ser's). But the further you watch the worse impression you get from watching. It could be ended at 3d season and it would be a perfect, maybe 4 seasons but not more. My point is 6/10.
Been watching since the start and I totally agree. The show lost the thread more and more over the years. Well that's not totally fair. The last season or so was pretty good and back to basics. But the first 3 seasons were riveting television.
Killing Merle was the worst mistake ever btw. He should STILL be popping up every few seasons to bother Daryl.
But yeah Fear had actually done a better job keeping the vibe than the main show has.

I want this to be good so bad.
Shit man. Homie looks like he has been smoking crack.
I'm just old enough to not give any fucks about the ducks.
I see a bunch of successful 80's and 90's movies are going to capitalize off the success of Cobra Kai and create TV shows... cool.
They're bringing back Punky fucking Brewster.
Why?
Everything is being remade.:dead:
Riverdale is just so crazy.
We nixed Prime and just signed up for Disney Plus.
I can never get rid of prime. I order 4000 amazon packages a year and the shipping would kill me.
Yeah same here. With the kids we’re constantly ordering from Amazon as much as I hate it.
Plus they have a great selection of kids shows.
Why do you need 11 packages a day, every day?
Because.
Don't know why I waited so long but I finally booted up Mindhunter season 2 and I'm 2 episodes in and it is wonderful. I love the tone and lead characters in this thing. While I still have 7 episodes left to watch, I really hope they bring it back for season 3. From what I just read, it's been put on hold due to Fincher's schedule. They released the actors from their contracts but it's not dead yet.
It's dead, Fro. :(
Dave worked out a deal with Viacom and Chapelles Show is coming back to Netflix today!
Just got done watching Alice in Borderland on Netflix.
Was really good actually, Japanese Battle Royal type show but with a bit of mystery in terms of what is going on etc.
Lupin was great too. Really happy to see it's got a second series.
It was terrible. Shame because I thought that the first film was such a pleasing surprise.
I mean CK is a tremendous writer. I thought Horace and Pete was great, but I can't remember whether I finished this whole season, which doesn't bode well for how memorable it was.
I think it's the best written TV show of all time. It's not as good as The Wire, but the writing in Mad Men was phenomenal. You never had any idea where it was going, in a good way.
I agree.
That's a shame, it just seems eminently prime for a big budget television adaptation, can't believe that they've messed it up twice already.
The budget, while poor, wasn't the problem. They just missed the point all over the place. Missed tons of the best shit from the book and I'm not one to complain about adaptations being different from the book. In fact the best episode from this series had two wild departures from the book that were totally superior.
But when you cut out the entire trip back to Boulder and when you hurry past most of the first half of the book to get to the "good parts" then you've skipped past everything that makes the story great. I mean they just didn't get it.
Dude that played Harold was amazing though.
I never really listened to Lil Dickey before but damn his show called "Dave" is really good. I was surprised at how funny it was. It's only 1 season on Hulu right now. I believe season 2 comes out this year
Yeah, I thought that it was great too.
I’ve been catching up on Euphoria recently and it is electric.
Dave is so good all of the rappers are lining up to be in season 2.
Andrew Santino is great in it too. I love his podcast, Whiskey Ginger.
Dave is great.
I finished Mindhunter. Really good. I wish it was coming back because I think it's easily a top 3 or 4 drama of the last few years. Really a shame, especially with all the teases of things to come in future seasons which now could go to waste. They could bring it back eventually, fingers crossed. Regarding the ending, I was a little disappointed that they didn't go further in terms of solving the crime, but then I read up on the Atlanta Child Murders and learned that the outcome on the show was the same as the real-life outcome, so fair enough.
Seven episodes into “Your Honor”, would highly recommend it; Bryan Cranston is fucking amazing, the acting as a whole is top-notch.
I am on season one of Superstore. Pretty good.
We just started the current (and last) season 6.
I'm anticipating Creepshow Season 2, I think it debuts on April 1. Can't wait.
https://youtu.be/qToKRSh_lKc
I'll watch it. Hopefully Joshua Jackson shows up.
https://youtu.be/civBQ7t6H9E
I enjoyed season 1. I'll definitely give season 2 a shot.
Frasier reboot without Nyles? Boooo.
I would have just left it at "Frasier reboot? Boooo."

Unsure about this one but I do have Hulu so I'll at least watch the first episode.
Boss Level on Hulu is fantastic. Cheesy action Groundhog Day-esque story told through the lens of playing a video game and progressing a bit further each time after you die. Frank Grillo is hilarious and is awesome in the fight scenes. It’s nothing groundbreaking or anything like that but it’s definitely worth the watch.
One of the absolute funniest parts was a throwaway joke about banging your shin on something. Slayed me.
I've started Buffy again on Star.
Loved it back in the day, but never watched season 7. I've started at the beginning though and love it.
I don't think it got much love after season 3, but I've reached season 6 of Homeland. I actually quite enjoyed season 5. I mean, nothing comes close to the first season, but I still enjoy it.
Tempted to go back to The X-Files and Scrubs too. Two more shows I really liked, but deffo only got 2 or 3 seasons in to each of them.
Modern Family also. I'm sure season 5 was where we left it and I'm fairly sure we didn't even finish that season.
Too much TV, kids. Not enough time.
I just began Scrubs, which I never watched before. I enjoyed Modern Family, but quit after a few seasons too. I sometimes just do not stick with things.
Started “Justified” last night, it is really good.
Did “Rescue Me” over the end of last year, another series from FX, which unfortunately played ads for the same TV shows every single episode. “Justified” looks like it will be doing the exact same thing...

Mine is actually charged to my Verizon phone bill so I wouldn't have noticed if they didn't say anything.Quote:
As of March 26, 2021, Disney Plus will be priced in the U.S. at $7.99 per month, up a dollar from the current $6.99, or $79.99 per year, compared with $69.99 for the annual plan previously. It’s the first time the company is increasing rates for U.S. customers since Disney Plus debuted in November 2019.
Call my agent on Netflix is a great watch
We got rid of Netflix, but Disney just added Criminal Minds so I am good.
Really enjoyed The Flight Attendant which is on sky over here and hbo max there I think.
Kaley Cuoco showing the haters.
@Melly have you seen season two of RuPaul UK? It just ended last week. I think RuPaul USA's current season has 3 or 4 more weeks.
Is anyone watching the TCM movies available through HBO Max? There's so much great shit available that I'm glad I'm getting to watch.
I had never seen "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" and watched it the other night. What a crazy ass movie that was. Highly recommended.
Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? is crazy! I saw that a long time ago.

The Circle comes back next month. I fucking love the circle.
i decided against better judgement and watched the pilot to might ducks: game changers..
was just alright
Almost done with season 3 of Dark. Wow what a show. It has elements of Lost, Stranger Things without the comedy, and The Leftovers. It gets a little confusing with the time travel and how things connect. Definitely worth a watch.
Everyone stop what you're doing and go watch Undone on Amazon Prime. Eight episodes of near perfection from Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Kate Purdy (Bojack Horseman) and starring Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) among others, it is absolutely fantastic. I watched the whole thing yesterday, couldn't put it down.
Season 2 coming at some point.
Ok, but when my boss asks my why I haven't done any work today, I'll point him in your direction.
I am currently watching Free Solo on Disney. Hooolyyyyyyy shit!
Almost done with Breaking Bad. My top three is no longer
Sopranos
The Wire
The Shield
Now its
Sopranos
The Wire
Breaking Bad
Sorry Shield.
I'll probably give Game Changers a shot as a "whole family" show. The kiddos and I watched Mighty Ducks and D2 this week as preparation.
I still love those two. I forgot how hardcore the Hawk's enforcer was after taking our Adam Banks.
Kid 1: "What did you do"
Enforcer (looking at Banks with dead eyes): "My job"
That kid was colder than Steve Austin or Jake Roberts.
Also, anybody checking out the Irregulars? Kinda digging it through Episode 2.
Walton Goggins is so good that when I watch The Unicorn he actually makes me forget that the show I'm watching should be terrible with it's beaten to death plot and wackity-schmackity-dooo humor.
